*Lowers himself to a lower branch* I didn’t really me how it would help me. How would it help Katherine?
Comment ID #40350
You staying here isn’t doing any more to help her than if you were there. If we have to, we can find a way to get rid of the gun afterward.
Comment ID #40351
Sullen? Are you still up?
Comment ID #40355
(I didn’t say I was atarting finale thread now, Imma do it tommorrow when I wake up)
Comment ID #40357
(yeah, just posted chapter six of 10 of “The Guardian Initiative”.)
(Looks at Katherine.) I’m…sorry about Zeke….He was a good man….
Comment ID #40360
*Serious* Watch yours closely, trust me on this. Don’t let him out of your sight…And thank you, he was.
Comment ID #40367
(Nods.) You don’t have to worry about that….but I think he can take care of himself…Either way I’m one hell of a marksman, I don’t need all ten rounds in this Winchester to take whoever this sicko is down.
Comment ID #40369
*Takes Sadae’s hand and hops put of the tree* I just don’t want to cause anymore harm to her by going back. Too much has happened today..
Comment ID #40370
*Smiles slightly* That’s good. *Looks back at fire* I really don’t want anyone else to die though, Zeke tried his best to protect everyone and damn it I’m going to try my best too.
Comment ID #40372
I agree, but sitting here won’t solve anything!!
Comment ID #40374
What about the tranq gun?
Comment ID #40377
*Loses smile and looks at it leaning up against one of the tents.* I don’t know why Zeke had to waste his life on that. It just doesn’t make sense, what was he going to tell me….
Comment ID #40378
(Wow, this is getting confusing. Please note that Kath and Sue are back at camp, while Sadae, Paolo and I are in the forest by a tree.)
Comment ID #40380
Well, you said he just wanted to protect people. He didn’t seem like a cold-blooded killer, so I’m assuming he knew who was behind this and was going to subdue them in a non-lethal manner.
Comment ID #40383
I’m glad that you decided to shome. *Smiles*
Let’s go bash. Umm… Mishell, which way was it?
Comment ID #40384
But that’s the point! He didn’t tell me who the killer was! What good does that thing do anyways? Sorry but I think guns will leave a sour taste in my mouth after this whole ordeal.
Comment ID #40386
I believe it was this way.
*sees a glimmer of light in the distance*
Oh, hey, there’s the fire. The camp’s this way.
(I assume the fire’s lit?)
Comment ID #40389
(Throws an incendiary grenade at the fire pit, starting the fire.)
Comment ID #40391
(O-kay, we’re all good!)
Comment ID #40392
If anything, we should go ahead and eat…Maybe a meal will give us some energy to figure this out.
Comment ID #40397
*Motions towards food, but still gets up* Well what should we fix tonight then?
Comment ID #40401
Tacos! *smiles* I’ll brown the beef and mix the spices.
Comment ID #40402
*Sadae, Mitchell and Paolo walk toward the source of light, and it is indeed the fire.* (Sorry, not in the mood to get lost tonight ^_^)
Hey everybody, what’d we miss? *^_^>
Comment ID #40403
*Hangs his dejectedly as he follows Sadae and Mitchell back to into camp*
Comment ID #40404
*Looks at the reentered group* We’re making tacos.
Comment ID #40406
We’re making Tacos, do you want to help mix the salsa?
Comment ID #40408
Not quite yet. Paolo, where’s your shotgun?
Comment ID #40409
I’ll make the salsa. *Begins chopping stuff.*
Comment ID #40410
I dropped it by the log I was sitting on near the fire pit. *He points to the gun masked in the shadows cast by the fire* I was too shocked to do anything else.
Comment ID #40412
(gets out a pan, adds some water and begins browning the beef.) (At least she has something to distract her for a little while.)
Comment ID #40413
@Katherine: I’ll help you with that.
*Helps making the salsa*
Comment ID #40414
*Continues making salsa* Do any of you even know how to check a gun for tampering?
Comment ID #40416
(adds some spices.)
Comment ID #40422
In fact, I do. *picks up the gun and separates the gun at the reciever, and immediately notices a small spring attached to the trigger.*
I found your problem. For one thing, it shouldn’t have been loaded in the first place, unless you’ve defied my boundaries of the definition of “stupid” (sorry if that sounded awkward, sounded better In my head), but this spring was holding the trigger. It lessened the force required to set it off, so that simply shaking it too hard could’ve done this. Which is exactly what you did when you spun to face Zeke. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Comment ID #40423
(You just called Paolo stupid again haha)
Comment ID #40425
Wonderful, so someone rigged the gun and it was all an accident that my husband died? Well isn’t that just freakin great.
Comment ID #40428
No, it was only a partial accident. The killer wanted someone dead, your husband just happened ot be the one at the other end of the barrel.
(no, I said wandering around with a loaded shotgun when you’re not hunting’s stupid, and if paolo was doing it on purpose then he was stupid too. I doubt he knew his gun was loaded.)
Comment ID #40429
*Glances at Kathrine briefly, before going to his tent, his head hung low*
Comment ID #40430
(Hmm. You’re right, maybe the killer loaded it)
Comment ID #40431
*Looks at the group* The entire act of carrying the guns around was stupid, for this specific reason. Tacos are done.
Comment ID #40432
*Helps Katherine serve the tacos, smiles to Mitchell when giving him his tacos*
Comment ID #40434
*Sighs as she sits down with no food* Look my point is, I’m the guide now and this is no longer a hunting trip. I want all the guns unloaded and any extra ammo given to me to throw in the river. I am not letting something like this happen again.
Comment ID #40435
(eats her taco.) Aiken and myself will be on watch all night again.
(Good night, have to go to work early again tomorrow.)
Comment ID #40436
Thank you, Sadae. And Katherine, with all due respect, he brought it along for self-defense. We’re all a little paranoid with a killer running around unchecked. Give the guy a break.
*takes a bite of his taco*
Comment ID #40437
Look, those guns are only hazards. My husband was carrying one when he was killed, that’s pretty good evidence that they aren’t going to protect you from the killer. Let’s take one more weapon out of his hands.
Comment ID #40438
(keeps revolver and ammo hidden away with her knife.) No offense, but we will be safer armed… Regardless of potential accidents. Everyone should check their weapons for any more tampering, while aiming away from each other. (Alright so good night for real.)
Comment ID #40441
*Growls annoyed* Look, will you guys stop being morons for a moment here? I’m trying to act calm for your sakes, my husband was just shot and killed right in front of me, I don’t want the same thing to happen to you Miss Suellen.
Comment ID #40442
*Once everyone has been served, takes a serving for herself sits next to Mitchell*
Ashtually… I agree with Suellen…
We just need to be a little more shareful.
Head back to the forum index.
