Okay, so the banner that used to take me to the BCB IRC was replaced by one taking me to Skype. Alright, whatevs; I already have Skype. I click on the link to it aaaaaaand…nothing. I even reinstalled the program and I’ve still got nothing. Any help?

Yup, not working. I get the “waiting” dealie with my cursor, then nothing. Is it something that can only be used with whatever the current beta version of Skype is?

Oops, I made a mistake. Clicking on the link opens a “launch application” window, which reads, “This link needs to be opened with an application. Send to:” and it lists “skype” as the default choice. Clicking that either logs me into skype, or if I’m already logged in, only engages the “waiting” dealie with the cursor. It does not enter me into any chatroom. I tried using the browse feature and went through to find my skype.exe to open the link, however the only difference between this and the default skype choice is that if I’m already logged into skype, it will bring up the skype window. Still no chatroom.

I don’t know if that info helps at all.

Well, I can’t get into the chatroom either, so I’ll bug someone to invite me or something. I’m johnny.vincero or Johnny Vincero (Jerk). I don’t know which one it accepts, so I posted both. I don’t know shit about Skype.

Hey, Soup-nugget: we’ve been inviting each other in one-by-one so the link may not work but an invitation thread could do the trick.

Yeah, add to your contacts an existing member and they’ll invite you into the main chatroom.

You might want to leave the notice up just for the purpose of alerting newcomers that a BCB skype chat exists. I don’t think the original skype thread has resurfaced in some time.

I’m intrigued by these prospects. How do I join? ^_^

Download the Skype client then post your username so someone can add you and invite you to the main chat.

Ah. I downloaded it yesterday. My username is soeregaard, if memory serves me right. ^_^

Though that said, I’m unable to join tonight - I’ll have to get off the computer soon.
