So who here’s a Halo fanboy?

I must admit, I am. What about you?

I never really cared much for the Halo series. I played the game, played the multiplayer, never really got into it though. All my friends who love Halo think I’m crazy, but I get the same reaction from people who are obsessed with CoD when they learn I don’t play it online.

I’ve played all the Halo games, and I really enjoyed them. I borrowed my friend’s ODST and the one part I remember being in love with was the music. I have a link to “Rain” somewhere in my bookmarks. I first remember truly hearing it after completing that flashback mission where you find the helmet in the wall. That and piano and saxophone at the beginning and near end just gets me every time. The music in games is a major, MAJOR, section for me.

I’d probably play the Halo games (and all online games) more if I didn’t hate playing with people I’ve never chatted/communicated with. Just not as fun without the friendships for me.

PS3 user here! *ducks to avoid brick*

I’m not a fan, but I do like playing Halo when I go to my mate’s mini-bar.

PS3 User: Ved of Flames
Main Game: MW2
Others: Soul Caliber 4, Tekken 6 (my brother plays this)

I’ve played Halos 1&2, but I prefer CoD because of realistic kills and environments.
(I played Halo 3 breifly on a friend’s Xbox and did surprisingly well for a newbie)

Well I suppose that answers that question. But in my opinion,
Halo: Okay. Plot was a tad cliched, but the characters were decent.
Halo 2: Characters fell short, but the plot got better. And the Arbiter is luv. Also much better at creating an atmosphere.
Halo 3: No more time playing as Arbiter :’( More fun, but story declined.
ODST: No more Elites period D:> But amazing still. Thoughtful plot with non straight forward storytelling, and creative characters that had more depth than Master Chief ever did. Easily the best of the bunch, despite the shortness.
And no, I don’t count Halo Wars.

Also, yes. Half Life 2 IS amazing.

imo: half life 1 > half life 2 > bioshock > goldeneye > doom 3 > quake series (never played 3) > duke nukem > call of duty 2 > halo 1 > halo 2 > doom 1/ 2 > halo 3 > call of duty 4 >>> unreal tournament series
but who cares shooting games stink

*A small child sits staring glassy-eyed at his computer. A cold breeze blows in from an open window, causing the child to turn around. He sees the open and becomes curious, since he did not open the window. He walks over to the window sill and peers into the darkness outside. Suddenly the Ninja leaps out and sends the kid flying out the window with a well-placed kick and into the shrubbery below. Turning to the computer, the Ninja goes to BCB quickly posts a comment. He knows very well that he has only a few moments before the kid raises the alarm.*

Halo is a fairly good 1st-person shooter, but there ARE better things out there. I don’t know when I’ll be able to post again…

I’ll rejoin the series when Master Chief comes out of his hyper-sleep coma.

Fanboy? More like FAGBOY! AAAAAAHAHAHA.
Nah, Halo’s alright. Though there are definitely better shooters out there.

P.S. Halo’s a cool dude, he shoots aliens and doesn’t afraid of anything.

P.S.S. PC gamer here
