*The captain is in a frenzy, knowing fully well they were running out of time.*

Aaah! Okay, Captain… I’ll try…

*starts rummaging through the available equipment*

(Only here for ‘bout a half hour, boy is this thread stagered for people eing here)
*Having followed Mike and Sula to the medbay, and after watching Mike’s failed attempts to get the door open, May does two things. She first bangs hard on the door to let people inside know that someone is trying to help them. Then she runs off to try and find the closest engineer to give them a hand.

(Well I’m going but if Aurelius or Abel show up you can have May find you if you want.)

*Noticing YashKildor’s arrival, The Doctor beckons her to help him attempt to pry the door open.*

(I have to go to work now. The Doctor is left to try to save the others. Take care.)

(I don’t think me or abel are on the 2nd level..)

hehe.. all presently listen to the Captains orders in an instant, rushing about looking for something strong enough to pry open the door…but one thing after another they attempt it and get no where. The Door being sealed tight, simple sticks, and crowbars doing little good in ‘prying’ the mechanical doorway open….originally it was meant to save those inside from a breach on the outside…. seems in a wicked irony it’s not doing the opposite.

While the others rush about fruitlessly the Captain does his best to find the ‘source’ of the leek. Unluckily it’s not a simple tiny hole that he can plug:It seems the Sickbays entire ventilation system is now doing its best to suck away their last bit of air……this might be a bit harder to plug then expected….

Outside of Sick bay the Doctor throws his crowbar at the door in disgust and frustration, his attempts to re-wire the door controls only lightly burning his hands with showers of sparks…it seeming that our ‘murderer’ has gotten smart since his last attempt….he’ll need to try something else.

The Shiyoian warrior seems to be the only one thus far to have any success getting the door to budge… and even then her mighty strength seems to only be succeeding in making the gears grind, and whine at the pressure she’s putting on them….but for now the door remains closed


[Reaction time 2] (Once the count down reaches Zero you start clunking over ^_^)

*Watching the Doctor and the Slayer try to open the door, and then fail, Sula begins to lose hope. But then….*
What if there was another way into the med bay. Another corridor, or…or the ventilation system…or…

*Walking into the lobby on the 4th floor he notices no one is here*

“Where did they go?”
*he starts walking back to the elevator he was previously in*

(I wasn’t trying to plug th leak, just find out what we’re dealing with, assessing the situation.)

Here, if the air is being sucked out through the ventilation system, maybe we should follow it. (Vents don’t lead into space.)

*Having run to the lobby hoping to find someone, May sees Aurelius heading towards the elevator and runs over to him, frantically waving and tugging on him to follow her*

See if there is a toolkit lying around, there should be a plasma cutter in there. (Plasma cutter: Used in welding to make precision cuts, temperatures in the 10,000+ degree range.)

Indeed! The ventilation system must go somewhere…. likely somewhere down in engineering. On the negative side though… It would be an impossible squeeze for almost everyone present with the exception of the poor runt that is Jimmy. Just for the record:the vents have two openings here.

Ehn they used to be wider, but since the ‘big fucking black alien’ incident, people decided vents that were big enough for things to crawl through weren’t the wisest of choices. Go figure.

A conveniently placed tool kit? I’m afraid that isn’t present doctor, the only ‘plasma’ present here is in the form of damaged wires and electronics in the walls behind you. Thankfully Aurelius does indeed have one…but It’ll take some time for May to drag the confused android over there.

All the while the lizard warrior is still trying to get the blasted door to budge finally opening it by a mere inch a gush of air flowing through the crack.

[Reaction-2. Count down temporarily frozen.]

*Jimmy manages to get the grate off of a vent in the room. The opening is small, even for him, but he may just be able to fit* I think we can get out from here! *He looks at the others hopefully, then back to the vent before realizing only he can fit in the opening* Just uh, sit tight, I’ll see if I can get down to engineering and open the doors remotely from there! *He starts to squeeze into the narrow vent and calls back to them* This is a sick bay, see if you can find some oxygen tanks to buy yourselves some extra time, there’s gotta be a couple laying around.

*The Doctor hears hissing from a nearby vent and turns to see a Praetorian and facehuggers everywhere*.-JK


(Yeah, those Aliens can be a bitch. I was waiting on May and Aurelius, but I guess there off and about still .)

*Thunking can be heard from behind the walls as Jimmy makes his way through the ventilation system. He feels his way in the dark, slowly progressing down to the engine room, bit by bit*
I can barely see in here, I just hope I don’t get lost. I think I know the direction of engineering though, I can’t fail, everyone else is counting on me!

*May drags Aurelius back, beating him over the head for being unresponsive.* ;P

Ah, good. Aurelius, we need to cut through the door with your torch.

(Geez, you’d think the mute lady acting like that would garner a respone much quicker. Although I have my doubts that I’d be beating him over the head, just dragging him behind me if I absolutely had to.)

*Point towards the slightly open crack that YashKildor managed to make so that Aurelius can see that there are people trapped inside, and then steps back, knowing that there is, once again, nothing she can do to help*

“come on you Tarkelian mud swine and help me with this blaster door!!, grab a pipe or something and jam it into the damn crack before my digits snap off!”

yells back to them

*May knows there is something she can do now, and before anyone else can react, she grabs the doctor’s crowbar off the ground and jams it into the hole. It may not be able to pry the door open, but it should at least stop it from closing all the way.*

You can cut the whole door with the plasma cutter if you want.

*looks at may then the door*
“Hmm..?”he says as he takes out his plasma cutter,which is conviently in his pocket

*starts at the bottom of the door frame and works his way up*

*A vent cover goes flying as Jimmy kicks it off and slides out of the ventilation systems. The engineering deck appears to be empty apart from him, he brushes some of the dust off of himself before trying to find a console that still works* Molly, can you hear me! People are stuck in the med bay, and air is leaking out, can you open the door? *He finds a console that looks like it may still work and tries to use it*

*The Doctor is walking into a wall repeatedly, due to not being left in automode. He also takes notice of the flow of air.*

There must be a hull breach on the other side, someone clearly wants all of them dead. We may be next, lets hurry and get them out of there.

*Rushes up to Dr. Mike*

*finishes cutting the door and jumps back as the cut out of door falls back to where he previously was*

The hacker struck again, trapping everyone in sickbay and then started sucking the air out of the room. We’re trying to get them out…Where were you anyway?

Well done Aurelius, lets help them out.

I needed some time alone.
Being here brought up some abd memories I would of prefered were left alone.
Anyway is there anythign I could do to help?

(*Blank stare*… did anyone in this read the rules at all?… way to suck all the drama from the scene folks in one or two posts. But honestly I just want to get this story over with now)

Aurelius gets to trying to blow a hole in the door but the process is slow. TOO slow…the hero this time around is in fact Jimmy’s tinkering with the controls down bellow the door finally slideing open.…though Molly is left unawares of what’s going on the entire time. Seeming to be just idling in Abels room unawares.

All those present in sick bay stumble on out, quite happy to get out of that stuffy room as they take a breath… Doctor Lock looking back and noting “… I’m.. not going back in there…but I can say this much…:Ray wasn’t electrocuted. That happened AFTER she died. Something or something hit her hard enough to snap her neck… and then did.. -THAT- after words….Everything went berserk moments after I figured it out…”

Also.. for the sake of simplicity and tying up all the loose ends the photo is discussed on the way back to the Lobby. Apparently Doctor Lock and Apalo many years ago were MARRIED. But Apalo got sick…very sick. On his deathbed promising if he got better he’d take the lovely doctor on an adventure across the stars. That’s.. when they found an alternative method of saving his lifeownload his lovely brain into an android body.

For a time it worked… they were happy…and Apalo kept his promise. Up until when Doctor lock wanted to settle down… while Apalo wanted to keep exploring the universe. Just bickering at first, then arguments, and eventually the two separated, Lock convincing herself this ‘machine’ she had been traveling with had been little more then a copy of her dead husband. A rather depressing event for the both of them.

Second.. yes the Captain knew about the event sixteen years ago over Johnathan Waywards death. Actually approving of an AI who would save someones life. Long story short the chief engineer in a fit of rage killed his wife, his son Abel tried to stop him, so Johnny decided to try kill Abel as well. The Station reacted, tried to give him a light shock…but the shock ended up leaving Johnathan brain dead instead..the vegetable not getting many visitors as you can imagine.

You now all have all the information needed to start guessing. Feel free to do just that. All are now gathered in the Lobby as it feels like the only safe place left.

(I’m awfully sorry about not being present, Bri. I know I was the one to suggest a postponing, so I’ve pretty much ruined this, haven’t I? The only excuse I have is that I suddenly had a friend visiting.

…He’s a cute boy, okay? Shut it. ^_^)

(Oh, and just assume I follow with whatever is happening in sickbay. I’m still a bit shaky on what’s happened, so I roll with the events.

Disasters so far

1st-Utter chaos in the Shuttle bay. Destroying all means of escape and making the 3rd floor basically inaccessible. The Doctor, Sula Toss, The Captain, and Davier were present. Davier was killed protecting the others, though anyone of them might have been the target.. or it may have just been random

2nd-A major console in engineering exploded right after Molly was brought back online and the deleted message was discovered. The Doctor, Abel, Jimmy, and Aurelius were present, though only Jimmy and Aurelius were injured (Abel was in a different part of engineering and the doctor left only moments before). Thankfully no one was killed.

3rd-‘Ray’ is discovered death within the hallways apparently electrocuted by an exploding panel. Later on it was discovered Ray in fact had her neck snapped and the killer presumably electrocuted her after words to make it appear as another station accident.

4th-The Sickbay was suddenly sealed off in the middle of Rays examination, though thankfully this time around no one was injured or died due to the efforts of Jimmy Justice. Way to go kiddo!

Clues thus far
-The sheer scale of this system break. Someone would either need to be very familiar with the system, a genius, or have some sort of inside access to pull this off.
-It appears ‘high command’ as it were has been recommending Molly’s program be ‘Reset’ due to an unknown event that happened 16 years ago possibly having long-term effects on her program. The messages suggesting this having been deleted before the Captain got a chance to read them.
-The Event 16 years ago was the Death of Johnathan Wayward, Abels father. In an attempt to save Abels life Molly gave Johnathan what should have been a non-lethal shock…that ended up being quite the opposite leaving the man permanently comatose.
-Doctor Lock dropped a Photo of her and a man who resembles Apalo, save the fact he’s clearly organic in the picture and looking very ill. Apparently once upon a time Apalo was Locks Husband, but got converted into a machine due to an illness destroying his human body…their relationship falling apart not long after that
