You should have called this ‘The Hipster Thread’ instead.

It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)

That’s a delightful (read: funny) rendition of a jazz classic. Isto is quite notorious in certain circles, I gather. ^_^

Otherwise, I’d post another link but I am unsure whether Gabriel will allow me to. :3

This is the thread for me

Dr. Noise, (Freaking awesome musician, son of the bassist of Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, and yet he’s not signed with anyone)
Sub Reality, Addiction

Hank Green (Funny and nerdy music)
I Know (A song in ten words), Anglerfish (Starts about 40 seconds in)

ALL CAPS (Decent, also rather nerdy music)
Don’t Unplug Me, WoW ruined my life

Just a taste of some of the ones I know. DFTBA Records is a great place to look for good unknowns as they specialize in giving Youtube-only bands a way to release albums.

If nothing else I would highly suggest you check out Dr. Noise
