Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Considering what we’ve discussed so far, this topic has no excuse for not being here.

So.

Who is your favourite among the Bittersweet Candy Bowl cast? Pick several if you must.

I used to like David the best, actually, but lately I think Paulo must have taken that spot. He’s nice when he wants to and funny when he doesn’t. For some reason I like Sue as well. I guess it’s her desperation with not being one of the main cast. ^_^

Of course, I like others as well, but those three must be my favourites. The top is prone to change, but still.

Amaya~!

You know, I have a nasty suspicion that at least half of the people here will mention either Kizuna or Amaya or both. ^_^

But Amaya is MY favorite character. No one else can have her as their favorite. Meh. Meh! MEH!

I guess my faves are… Paulo, McCain, Daisy, Liam and Lily =3

Amaya, Daisy, and David.
Speaking about Amaya, shouldn’t she show up soon? I’m only guessing because almost all of her appearances are with Sue, and Sue appears to be playing a fairly big role for the next chapter(s?).

@Archimantis: I’m glad you and I think alike. AMAYA NEEDS MORE APPEARANCES.

@Gabriel: I know, I checked to see when was the last time she showed up, and I figured “Out of Frame” would likely have her once. She wasn’t even in that chapter! Kinda seems like the cute lil mute is so forgotten by Taeshi that she doesn’t even get to be in the neglected club!

I would say Kizuna then Amaya.

I dunno why, but shit, Kizuna is just so cute XD

I personally like Daisy. She’s all-around awesome.

@Suitcase: Hey, I said I liked Daisy, didn’t I?
Then again, I think the reason nobody’s mentioning main characters is because it seems too obvious. I’m sure everyone here loves Lucy, Maishul, Abbey, Paulo, Daisy, David, and Tess.
So we mainly just assume by reading the comic we default like/enjoy/love the main characters, so we just skip saying “Lucy and Mike and Paulo and…”. Unless of course, we get all specific and whatnot.

My favorites are Lucy, Sue, Amaya, and Abbey.

Amaya requires no explanation. She is awesome, and I’ve begun to suspect that she’s really a superhero who makes everyone love her and stop fighting, thus preventing numerous crimes.

Abbey’s freakishly tall compared to his friends, which is why I approve of him. That is my reason.

@Archmantis: Hey~! My Larkie-poo appeared in that chapter~! However, maybe Amaya just didn’t want to socialize with all the “neglected” characters.

@ToastyJester: No, silly. She’s obviously an Observer~!

I don’t know why but I really love the way Tess is. She’s one of my favorite characters from the group. I can’t really put my finger on why but for whatever reason or not she just stands out the most to me from all the others.

Oh I feel so bland now. I like Mike.

Abbey is my fave. Either him or Mike, mostly cause I can relate to Mike. …But lately Mike’s been kind of a jerk, so maybe Paulo…? ACK! SO MANY CHOICES!!!

No, but I do like Lucy, Mike and Paulo. To me they are the most fleshed out characters. I don’t know why, but their relationship also reminds me of the “Three Musketeers” Jamal, Salim and Latika. (The main characters of Slumdog Millionaire)

she is the root of all this drama

I personally find Mike to be my favorite, he has his issues just like the rest of the cast, but for the most part he always tries to be there for his friends and though MikexLucy fans hate him for it, he remains loyal to the one hes in a relationship with.

Favorite character hmm, gonna have to say Daisy!

alright. I keep hearing about Amaya. Will someone show me where she shows up, other then in the theater that one time? I found that, but there must be more do not remember if she is getting all this attention

Find a comic page that doesn’t have any comments on it. She is the “no comments” image. That image alone shows how awesome she is.

@Suitcase: To me, Amaya reminds me of how someone who was once dear to me used to act… She’s so different now…

I can totally imagine Paulo’s voice like Goku’s, only a bit deeper.
Anyways, I like daisy a lot, always trying to keep things happy.

*The Ninja walks out in front of all the people who have posted here (they have all assembled to see this for no particular reason. He is visibly uncomfortable and looks almost guilty. He takes a deep breath and begins…*

I… I have a confession to make… My favorite character is Sue! Not Amaya, not Mike, not Lucy, not Paulo, Daisy, Abbey, McCain, Tess, or Augustus; my favorite is Sue. She seems reasonable most of the time, has no outrageous character flaws, is intelligent and creative, and she is trying so hard to get Mike and Lucy to be friends again… I just have to pick her!

*The Ninja immediately flees before anyone can throw rotten fruit or bricks at him and disappears into the night.*

Mike & Abbey for me. Mike, just cause I see me in him. The guy who tries to be nice with the world crashing around him. (Also, he’s smart with writing, like me!)

Abbey, on the other hand, I like him for who he is. When he doesn’t go-go-Gadget-crazy, he’s the most level headed of the whole group. I also feel real bad for him, ‘cause of his past (although I know we might not fully see that past,) and how he is trying his hardest not to become that which frightens him the most.

Of the B level characters, I like McCain. DAMMIT MCCAIN, STOP MAKING THINGS WORSE AND MAKING ME LIKE YOU!!!

Can I change my favorite characters? It’s now Amaya and the guy behind Paulo in the first page of the new chapter.

What you mean besides Amaya? Probably Lucy

He means the guy behind Pauolo that looks like a male Amaya and we don’t know whether he’s sleepy or in a hangover.

You know, he reminds me of me during French class, History class, Business class, LCVP class, the odd Maths class… Now that I think about it, how in the ruddy hell am I an all-honours student? On a side note, yeah he’s awesome!

Paulo is now my favourite, he’s really been growing on me throughout the series.

Anyway, I think that Sue supporters like us shouldn’t be fighting in the first place.
After Sue, who would be your favorite character? Mine would be Daisy or Abbey, and only because they seem to have come to terms with the drama that plagued them earlier.

Well, as I said in the main post, I like Paulo and Sue about equally. After that, it’s Abbey, I think. David is more of a… “reserve”. ^_^
