Well, a lot of the major religions were spread by the sword, particularly Christianity and Islam. As such, they are amongst the most violent of religions.

Christianity has a very large number of terrorists on its side as well, and it is definitely the second most violent religion in the world. So, while yes, Islam is WORSE, that doesn’t make everything else GOOD, just less bad. And many of the policies of, say, the crazy fundies in the US are just as bad - quiverfull folk, the guys who are trying to bring about armageddon.

Seriously: I was watching the news live when the second plane hit. The broadcaster said, and I am not making this up, “WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF TWO PLANES HITTING SEPARATE TOWERS ON THE SAME DAY?!”

9/11 was a plot by gremlins from the underdark to overthrow the righious Gryphons of the mighty Trade Center towers.

i heard the first plane crash and i thought it was a dumpster falling or something outside but i looked out the window later and saw the second plane crash into the second tower and watched both of em come down
i dont think i fully grasped the magnitude of what i had seen until about a year later
none of my family was hurt but i had a couple good friends lose people

Hey guys i get my drivers license on 9/11.

I was in grade 9 eating lunch when a friend told me there was a terrorist attack on the world trade center and I was all like “what the hell is a terrorist attack and why the world trade center?” being unfamiliar with the concept of psychopaths committing mass murder (sheltered Canadian upbringing). It was a shocker and a very sad thing to take in. Made a lot of people rush to donate blood, but I think by the next day the blood bank had to start turning people away for something about having too much blood to store.

Now adays, it’s just another day for reflection on how lucky I am to be alive and have not experienced such a thing first hand.

I was only 9 at the time (Not grade 9 like ^), but I remember being brought into the gym, where our principal confirmed the rumour that the world trade centre had in fact been hit by a plane (The second plane hadn’t hit yet). Living in Montreal my whole life I didn’t even know what the world trade centre was, nor had I heard any of the rumours, so i didn’t know what was going on. Because I didn’t really understand what was happening, what I remember most is being pissed that the regular after school shows weren’t on. (Sorry, I was nine and didn’t understand.)

I do remember one of my classmates crying the next day though, apparently her mother was set to arrive in New York on 9/11 and they hadn’t herad anything from her. Fortunately she was fine, her plane arriving not long before the attacks.

Also while I wasn’t around for this, my mother is a college teachger, they had a TV wheeled in so they could watch the news, and one of her students apparently said in class: “That’s right, hit them where it hurts, in the money.” And she removed him from the class for it.
