Oh I can see this thread has turned out well…I was but 11 at the time, living on the West Coast by the time I’d even heard the news the second tower had already fallen, I had just started middle school and in almost every class the television or the radio was on with somebody trying to get news about the events. I was fortunate enough not to know anyone who personally had been in New York at the time but one or two of my class mates did…

The strangest thing however was the airport I live near, which was silent like it had never been before and hasn’t been since.
