Zach hops down from the boat with guitar case in hand and looks out toward the school with a big smile on his face. He takes in a deep breath enjoying the salty air and exhales slowly

“I can’t wait to get this festival going, I wonder if I’ll be able to get Lucille to sing for me finally.”

He chuckled to himself with a slight pink flushing over his cheeks, tightening his grip to the guitar case as he began to make his way up to the building.

Looks to Austin then back to Davis

Yes you can go on a secret spy mission.

*Sitting at a table quietly thinking*

That man was sent to investigate us? but why,there’s nothing going on except the festival..although that one janitor is strange,i don’t like the way he interacts with lucille.

Walks over and sits next to Michael

Something bothering you dear?

“That man that wanted to talk to me,he said he was investigating us,right? but why…there’s nothing too serious here that could possibly warrant this.”

*thinks for a moment*

“At least not that i know of.”

That’s what bothers me…This is very odd.

*Walks by lighting a cigarette. Looks over at Michael and Lily talking*

Glares at Austin even if he is acting all bad ass.

(CRITICAL FAILURE-it is a fake cigarette,as you light it,it blows up in your face,BOOM!)

*Sighs*

“I guess it’s not really important at the moment,at least not for me..”

i need to be worried about that strange janitor

*Notices a brown dog following him, failing at staying hidden. Gives a funny look in his direction and sits down nearby, looking around.*

After getting up to the school grounds, Zach began to make his way to the music hall when he heard some people talking and thought he’d see who all was here. Rounding the corner he spotted Lily, Michael, and another person who he wasn’t familiar with, and was smoking inside for that matter. Walking up to stand beside the two sitting down and sets his guitar against the wall and smiles down at them.

“Hello Ms.Lily, Michael. How’re you two doing today? You ready to get working on the cultural festival?”

He glances over at Austin and glares at him as menacingly as he can, though it’s about as threatening as a wet poodle.

“You shouldn’t be smoking on the school grounds, sir.”

Hello there Mr Morgan, How are you this evening?

*Dakes a drag of the cigarette, blows smoke in Zach’s face and drops it, crushing it below his foot*

And who might you be?

Hey! Don’t harass my staff!

Zach clenches his fist on the side opposite Austin and smiles lightly at the disrespectful man.

“I’m the schools Music Arts instructor, and who might you be yourself.”

He continues to smile though he is not very pleased with this man’s attitude.

(Assume i say,yessiree bob)

“Oh it’s you..”He says blandly as he sees Austin crush the cigarette

I’m Austin St. James, the school board hired me to inspect the school, and specifically the headmistress, and certain choices she has made recently.

And what would these choices be?

Zach’s smile faded slightly as he listened to what Austin had to say and looked over at the headmistress for a moment before turning back to face Austin.

“Well I stand by any choices the headmistress makes, she’s never steered us wrong, and is always willing to help the students, and isn’t that what a school should be about.”

He smiled more warmly this time as he truly felt that way about it. He trusted Lily and her decisions.

Smiles at Zach

Thank you dear, and I stand by my staff and students. Looks to Austin

We’re a family here, a close knit one and we don’t just go around and betray each other.

*Looks at Lily*
As I said before I am not currently at liberty to tell you why I’m investigating

*looks back at Zack and says with uncertain amounts of sarcasm*

Against gritted teeth Third floor west hall.

Zach watched as Austin left the three to get some rest, heaving a sigh of relief with the atmosphere clearing up from having it so clouded by Austin he glanced over at Lily and Michael setting his hands on his sides and smiled at them.

“Well he’s a cheerful character isn’t he? So Michael, do you know where Lucille is at? I must get her to sing for us for the festival.”

He crossed his arms and set a hand under his chin as he went into contemplation.

“Do you think we’d be able to get her to sing at the beginning of the festival or should we wait till the end so that the rest of the students don’t feel like they have to compete?”

Sitting outside of the girl’s Dormitories, she sat with her back to the wall. In her hands was a book, “Cultures from Around the World.”. She enthusiastically licked her thumbs and turned the pages, eyes darting left to right as she whizzed through her book.

(Autosleep: Davis goes off to his room. Goodnight everyone.)

Summary:

Everyone arrives on the island, Paulen immediately snaps a Lily for making him stay at school on his spring break, she reminds him that he must complete the culture festival and get extra credit or he will get kicked out of school, again. Paulen shudders at the thought and chooses to sulk in his room.
Mr Carson begin blathering on about chocolate cake and notices Davis sneaking towards the girls rooms, but stops him in time.

Lucille immediately heads to her room to rest after the boat ride. Mr. Carter sweeps the hall and fantasizes about Lucille while Micheal looks on in worry. Austin questions Micheal about the school and he expresses his concers about Mr Carter. Austin makes rude remarks about Carson, like a jerk, writes down something in his notebook and walks away.

Justin talks to Lily about his “job” while Carson glomps him cutely. Zach appears and talks to Lily when Austin comes up and starts smoking in the school. Zach calls Austin out on the smoking in school and Austin is a DICK! He makes threatening remarks to Lily before retiring to his room for the night.

Paulen rolls back onto his shoulders before vaulting forward off his bed and onto his feet. “Well. If I’m gonna be stuck here, I may as well find something interesting to do.” He pauses for a moment, realizing that he really does need to get his presentation done before next week. “Bah. How hard could it be anyway? I’ll just guilt Deanna into helping me out if it gives me any trouble.” He grins mischievously at this thought. Leaving the dorms, he starts to wander the halls, looking for anything interesting to stick his nose into.

“Oh,well i was looking for her earlier,it seems she has taken her leave.”

“Hmm…i think she was hiding from the strange janitor..”

*Smirks slightly at zach’s next comment*
“I highly doubt you’ll be able to get her sing,i myself have hardly ever heard her sing…although she does have quite a beautiful voice.”

Stands up suddenly

Well I am going to go roam the halls and make sure no is where they aren’t suppose to be.

Heads upstairs

After wandering the halls for a short while, the Somali happens upon the small group talking. A fleeting smirk comes and goes from his lips as he decides to approach the group. “Well well. If it isn’t everyone’s favorite athlete. ‘Sup pansy?” Though truth was that he didn’t hate Michael, he could never pass up the opportunity to give him a good ribbing.

Zach watches as Lily takes off rather suddenly and looks back at Michael rubbing the back of his head laughing softly to himself.

“Maybe you could help me convince her to sing for the festival, I don’t think we’re gonna have that many people showing up so it isn’t going to be that much of a request I think. It seems like a waste to let such a voice go unheard by the masses.”

He smiled closing his eyes imagining how lovely her voice must really be to keep it so bottled up, his cheeks turning a light pink again at the thought.

*Looks over to paulen as he approaches the group*

“ugh..what do you want paulen if you’re thinking about breaking into the girls dormatories i’m not going to help you.”

*Turns his attention to zach*
“Well,if you’ve known her as long as i have and as well as i do,then you’ll know she is rather embarrased singing to just one person! Let alone a whole group of people.”

Zach’s sighed lightly, sad to hear that she may not go along with the festivities and smirked as he set his hands back to his sides as he shrugged to himself. He looked over as Paulen approached them and called out to Michael, in a very peculiar manner at that.

“That’s not a very nice greeting, are you two sure you’re friends?”

He looked between the two of them slightly confused as to how the two were together.

Paulen grins a little as he immediately realities what Michael & Zach are talking about. “Oh I bet I could make her sing alright.” He winks and nudges Michael in the ribs with his elbow.

“What!?”He turned his attention to paulen

“That’s not even..what,agh!”he says flustered thinking about it while pushing paulens’ elbow away

He stared at Paulen for a few moments letting what he’d sink in before it finally clicked and his cheeks flushed and his expression turned blank as the thought couldn’t get out of his head.

“That uh… is not needed, I think…”

He brought his hand up to scratch his cheek trying to think of a way to diffuse that conversation and fast, but nothing was coming to mind and he laughed nervously as he just drew blank after blank of something to say.

She looks up from her book and smiles at the Headmaster.
I’m just doing some research for the festival. I want to make sure I know all there is to know about different cultures for my project. I’ve been doing a lot of reading, this is the fifth book I’ve researched so far.
She pulls out a thick notebook with dozens of neatly labeled sticky-notes hanging out all sides.
This is all my research!

Paulen laughs heartily at Michael’s discomfort with the topic. “You’re too easy mate.” He taunts. He looks over at Zach and grins. “Hey, if not for me keeping this guy in line, he’d be a total pussy.” He refers to Zach’s questioning of their friendship. “Besides. I think it’s a little creepy how you’re always trying to get Lucille to sing. You wanna hear that sweet sweet voice calling out your name eh Zachy? You dog you.” His expression is a mixture of teasing and pride in Zach’s supposed motives.
