I loved Minorin and I hated her ending, she deserved something better than that.

But at the same time you come to love the characters over the course of the show and even if they are to cutesy, that is one of the reasons they are so appealing, especially to girls.

You started this thread just because you wanted to rant about Toradora. Shame on you Suitcase!

On the contray, I still found myself attracted to them and thought the payoff of the show was more than the cost, even if it could have been better and not so much, “Urgh we can’t be together but we can but we can’t! Wah!”

I find that the whole odd-colored hair business is completely over-used in anime and manga. Toradora is no exception. My personal theory is that since the artistic style doesn’t allow for much variation of a character’s face, they need the hair to tell the people apart.

Weeaboos. Abbey is the Glassesloser in BCB. He doesn’t need glasses to be a loser.

But I love Abbey! Glassesloser is meh, but Abbey is awesome!

Abbey started out as an effeminate cockhead. Now he’s a disgustingly saccharine or weeping melancholy effeminate cockhead, depending on what repressed memory du jour happens to float to the surface of his septic tank of a childhood.

I always assumed it was some kind of vindictive anger at someone obviously being lazy. Are you telling me he’s just cruel?

So what, you’d rather me babble about inane shit like the fact anime characters have odd coloured hair? I’d rather engage in a discussion about what makes a story like this good or bad. I put forth a reasoned opinion that people responded to, what have you done? Continue to help shit things up with boring posts.

“Oh no! I can’t express anger because I might turn out like my daddy!” And I love how he gets self-righteous whenever anyone fucks up (him glaring daggers at Paulo recently or pushing Mike around). It’s not Mike’s fault that Daisy couldn’t take a hint and it’s none of his stupid business what happens between him and the other girls. I can’t stand him.

@ Taysh But I don’t see him that way. I can separate the angst from that event and the angst that arises from his personality quirks just fine. I respect that way you wrote him, I just don’t like him as a person. Maybe he just reminds me of someone I didn’t like, I’ll admit it’s a possibility.

I still really like Abbey though, he is just a cool character to me. But that could be cause I love the hurt puppies. And the sarcastic bitches, they’re my favorites.

I didn’t like Model bitch, her character seemed pointless after just five episodes of her. She just kinda faded into the background like she didn’t matter.

Which is why I don’t hate him, per se. I felt as sorry for him as anybody when I figured out what happened to his mom, but it never excused the way he treats the other characters.

The one thing that I take away from Abbey though, and I cannot express how much I just absolutely respect it, is that instead of sitting around and whining about his problems to anyone who would listen, he’s actively seeking help to deal with them. And THAT’S what will redeem him to me in the long run, as soon as I see him enough to forget that pompous self-righteousness he whipped out when Paulo was confronted by Lucy and Tess.

Hey even the brightest knight in shining armor is going to have a few smugs, or alot as the case may be. And I like his chivalrous attitude, nothing wrong with a little gentlemanship, he just takes it to an extreme and back.

@ Taysh: I get that he hates him. I mean, Paulo’s a dick after all, but Paulo hadn’t even said anything to him. (On an unrelated note though, Abbey’s expression was perfect.)
