Or MAHN-ga, as my best friend insists I pronounce it. I figured I’d start a general discussion or whatever because I’d like some suggests on what I should read when I’m done with this. I’m into one of two things at any given moment: romance or complete visceral horror. If I were capable of feeling guilt, I’m sure the former would be a guilty pleasure.

SO, that said, this is what I’ve read over the past few weeks:

- Oh! My Goddess: I can’t tell whether to root for the purity of their relationship or scream at them for not boning each other yet. Don’t you judge me.
- Berserk: I don’t think anything gets more tragic or horrifying than this. If it does, please tell me.
- D. Gray Man: Not as horrifying as Berserk, not really. But then after you’ve seen how Trolls or the Kusharn demon soldiers are made, what is?

Read Trigun & Trigun MAXIMUM (In that order, as MAXIMUM follows on). Really good series. Well written and interesting characters. Goes far beyond what the Anime covered.

if you think berserk is tragic, you really should not try to read Shamo.

I’ll look up Shamo, and I wasn’t sure about Trigun. I’ve been kind of waffling about, but you’re right, I should read it.

Eureka Seven, loved it. The criticisms against it are understandable, mostly that the first seven or so episodes are character explorations before they get into the real story. But the series overall is very well done, and the best part is… it actually ends after two seasons…

So yeah: great action, giant robots surfing on giant surfboards, aliens, romance, creepy hallucination sequences, and characters who change and mature as the series goes on. People dislike the “filler episodes”, but I think it’s a nice break for the series ever so often, and they don’t last long.

Oh wait… We’re talking about Manga… Hah…. Sorry…

Manga’s not nearly as good, but it’s almost the same. The character’s don’t grow like they do in the anime, all except for the main two. It’s got everything but the real fun loving moments the series has, and the ending is… depressing. Yeah, it’s missing the charm, but I think it’s an okay read.

The series is a brilliant read… with subtitles.

The World God Only Knows- excellent manga about a guy who’s obsession is to play those dating games. Because of this he is contracted into helping catch run away spirits that hide in cracks in girl’s hearts by making them fall in love with him. The main character is really funny an it’s overall a good manga.

And Uhhhh…. Ai kora is really funny, I like it.

Oh, D. Gray-Man is amazing except the new stuff. It’s confusing and never updates… But before that it’s sweeeeet. Also, Krory is THE BEST

The World God Only Knows is pretty clever. I would recommend that one.
