I think Cyo should be Jake’s therapist.
Cause honestly, there is a point between teaching a lesson and being an extremist.
Take it from me, let yourself go in this topic and try not to link your past tramas to most every fighter in you school.
One day you’re gonna be sued and saying “the sonofanitch had it coming to him” is not going to lessen your sentence.
(I apologize if this sounds like I’m trying to make you out as a criminal, just trying to help)

Well, don’t we sound like a certain wheelchair-bound victim before they were put in a wheelchair.

Jeff in Aus April 24, 2010, 11:40 PM EST.

Comment ID #8045

I’d just like to make a point, you severly injured a young man because of his cockiness and him saying he was the greatest isn’t that correct Jake? However, you are saying that no one is deadlier than you. In essence, you are pretty much cocky yourself and you believe that you are the greatest in then world and no one should mess with you. Therefore, beating a person down to near death for being overly cocky is kind of like beating yourself down.

Therefore, I believe that, even thought you may not know it, you beat this person to near death as you were in fact angry at yourself and you saw a bit of you in him, which caused you to projectn your anger out on him. You can do these things without realising and to me, it does make sense.

It’s fascinating how man can become the monster he felt so much wrath towards. Such is another one of the numerous sad facts of life. Another one being that some people are incapable of change, no matter how much people may try. They live in a state of mind that they believe 100% in and can not see anyone else’s points or ideas.

And now I must research a quote that I may use in further instances that are identical to this one.

ToastyJester April 24, 2010, 11:50 PM EST.

Comment ID #8048

Hey, that kid was wanting to start the fight, I just finished it.

Jake April 24, 2010, 11:52 PM EST.

Comment ID #8049

@Toasty: I wholeheartedly agree, the world can be a cruel place and it can turn people into cruel, manipulative people beyond change or as we’ve seen here, the thing he strived to destroy. But alas, these people may also be beyond change and therefore, their destiny can be considered predetermined.

TheRay April 24, 2010, 11:52 PM EST.

“He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster.” -Friedrich Nietzsche

Ah there we are~
I do enjoy a good quote. I will have to make sure I read Beyond Good and Evil at some point.

ToastyJester April 24, 2010, 11:54 PM EST.

Comment ID #8051

@TheRay
And I didn’t see me in him, I saw that one kid who insulted my mom… and it made me angry.

Jake April 24, 2010, 11:57 PM EST.

Comment ID #8052

@Jake: Think about it, was it worth it to destroy his life, did he deserve it just for wanting to be the best. A little cockiness is hardly a reason to hurt someone severly, especially when you are even more cocky than the other person. Hoping to be the best is not a problem but thinking you already are can lead to many disappointments in life. You wanted to get rid of the bully and you succeeded, but in doing so, you have awoken a beast inside of you. You have taken on a persona of the very thing you hate the most. You are, quite literally, your own worst enemy.

TheRay April 24, 2010, 11:58 PM EST.

Comment ID #8053

@Jake: I did say it was not always noticable. Perhaps you are repressing your feelings in order to destroy what you believe is your problem, unable to realise it is in fact yourself. Also, the boy said nothing of which the other one that began this did, so I fail to see the comparison.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:01 AM EST.

Comment ID #8054

I am nothing like him! I don’t go picking on the ones who I know who are weak, I always fight those who believe that they are stronger then me…

Jake April 25, 2010, 12:02 AM EST.

Comment ID #8055

@Toasty

You really should, I really liked it but I’m one of those college educated liberal types so IDK.

TheNoun April 25, 2010, 12:06 AM EST.

Comment ID #8056

I did not say you picked on weak ones, but it does seem that way. Also, he did not believe he was stronger than you, obviously it was his debut, so he’s going to try and use tactics to try and intimidate you. He was a rookie, he made a rookie mistake but sadly, that mistake was seen as an insult and so you brutally attacked him. To you, it wasn’t a boxing match, it was a fight and until you get rid of that mentality, life will not be such a delight.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:07 AM EST.

Comment ID #8058

Whenever I hear someone say “those pussys they throw into the ring with me” it makes me believe they think the other person is weak. But that could just be me, I don’t know.

@TheNoun
I enjoy a good brain stretching book. I might go buy it after I finish reading up my H.P. Lovecraft phase.

ToastyJester April 25, 2010, 12:12 AM EST.

Comment ID #8060

Toasty is quite right, you do seem to be picking on people weaker than you because you think it may scare others, but it doesn’t always work that way. You can only strike fear into so many people.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:14 AM EST.

Comment ID #8061

The I’ll slam fear in those who are foolish enough not to be scared of me.
and I treat all of my matches like a fight, because that’s what it is.

In boxing only the strong survive, and the weak are destroyed.

Jake April 25, 2010, 12:18 AM EST.

Comment ID #8062

@Jake: You just proved that me and Toasty are correct, you prey on the weak. You get satisfaction from destroying people you know you can because it makes you feel strong. Let me tell you this however, physical strength is not the only thing needed to be the greatest. You need to have good mental health as well or else things won’t go so well.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:20 AM EST.

Comment ID #8063

Truly, Jake, you’re worse than the man you put in the wheelchair, simply because you don’t know when to stop.

You are a monster now, and I hope one day you realise that.

Jeff in Aus April 25, 2010, 12:22 AM EST.

Comment ID #8065

Jeff is also right, you need to realise that this isn’t going to get you anywhere in life. Right now, I’m going to be honest. You are a sick individual who needs serious help with anger issues and many other possible problems.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:27 AM EST.

Comment ID #8066

I don’t prey on the weak! I never go looking for anyone who I know can’t stand up against me! If you try to fight me, I’m gonna fight back, and I’ll make sure that you learn to never take me for granted!I’m not that weak little kid anymore, I am strong, and if you think you can beat me… strap on the gloves and step in the ring. I’ll make sure to show you how “weak” I really am!

Jake April 25, 2010, 12:27 AM EST.

Comment ID #8067

Being defeated does not equal being weak. Lets look at UFC for example (different sport, but quite the same in a lot of aspects). Brock Lesnar was a former WWE Champion who lost his first match. Was he weak? I don’t think so, it’s obvious. You seem to think you have to win every battle or you are weak, that’s a bleak way to look at life.

TheRay April 25, 2010, 12:29 AM EST.

Comment ID #8068

Well if he wasn’t weak, then he wouldn’t have lost.

Jake April 25, 2010, 12:31 AM EST.

Comment ID #8069

I really, and I mean REALLY don’t want to play this card, but I think it deserves a mention. (again, really sorry about this)

Ahem…
Jake, would your mother be proud of this?
She was a wise woman, and I think throughout the time she was alive, she was teaching you not to use violence.
This may strike a nerve, but how you are acting is not something a mother should be proud of.
Don’t answer this back, what I want you to do is think this over.
And remember this, even the users here won’t give up on you.
Accepting facts won’t make you weak, it’ll make you wise.
Perhaps I won’t ever feel your pain, but that doesn’t mean I’ll give up on you.

Ved of Flames April 25, 2010, 12:32 AM EST.

Jake is totally fakeposting.

TheNoun April 25, 2010, 12:33 AM EST.

Comment ID #8071

@ Jake

I am disappointed in you.

You say fists, I say knife. Or a gun. Shotgun, preferably. Easy to acquire, to boot. Weakness, you say? You’ll be a dead fool before those words ever leave you mouth.

Fists? Pathetic. A proper strike to the diaphragm, and you’ll go down like a ton of bricks.

You have a lot to learn. If your lucky.

But, it seems you never will.

Every response you give is in defense of yourself. You think we are all attacking you in some manner.

If that is the case, then leave and never return. It is apparent that you and your “boasts” do not belong here. We will try to help, but that will matter little unless you help yourself first.

Godspeed, you misguided fool, godspeed.

Ya know what? I agree with ya. Anyone can say anything they wish on the internet.

Without any real proof, I refuse to believe another word you say, Jake.

Action speak far louder than words. Words can be easily twisted. Action is far, far harder to twist.

Cyo April 25, 2010, 12:40 AM EST.

Comment ID #8077

You’ll all be singing a different tune when I become the world champ.

and Cyo, anyone can use a gun. Anyone can hold a gun and say “I am strong”, but a real man dosen’t need guns to fight.

and what does it matter what my mom would have said, she’s dead, and I could have done something to save her. But because I was weak, she’s now six feet in the ground…

Immature.

Little.

13 year old.

You’ll be dead before long. Words mean little.

Yeah?… Then bring it to the ring then.

Jake April 25, 2010, 12:49 AM EST.

Comment ID #8081

OK, now I definately don’t believe this.

Jake, I believe you are just a young boy looking for attention, I doubt you even box. Sure, I may only be 15 and this may mean nothing to most, but the fact that you made up such a story in order to get people to listen to you is ridiculous. I pity you, hopefully, you mature a little and understand that it is best to be truthful and not just try to gain attention.

A real man doesn’t need to fight.

I once had a therapist who fell asleep halfway through a session, and didn’t wake up until it was over. I wasn’t at all surprised, though; he was fat…the kind of fat where the person starts to mumble and slur their words. He also had a pretty thick, I’d say, Eastern Bloc accent. So yeah, pretty much a perfect storm of awkward. Retrospectively hilarious. I am not even kidding.

I burst out laughing and nearly got sent home when he told us to close our eyes and imagine a deserted town. It was science and were learning about cells and he’s talking about deserted towns. He went to explain that a phagocyte is like pac-man…

When I was in high school, we had this one substitute we called ‘the Incredibles lady.’ She looked, honest to God, exactly like Edna from The Incredibles. You know, the short lady with the wide face that made the suits?

Erebus April 25, 2010, 1:05 AM EST.

Comment ID #8097

@Toasty: Yeah, it was hilarious.

He said something like this. “Now we’ll learn about phagocytes, close your eyes and imagine that you are pac-man, not when the bacteria comes up, you will engulf it and therefore destroy it. You won’t burp, that wouldn’t make any sense.”

He lost control of the class there. xD
