Bittersweet Candy Bowl

my orthodontist (being the generally weird guy he is) made this contest for the design for this calender. From each age group (i.e. 0-9; 10-13; 14+ years old) the top four will receive $50. They will be on one of the months, and the one with the best over all, will be on front and back of the calender, and will receive $100 instead of $50. Now, i need ideas for what to draw, the theme is “smile”.

NOTE- I don’t want you to draw it for me (unless you want to =D), i just need ideas.

2nd NOTE- i put this in art, because i dont know what else to put it in……question maybe? too late……

- Hellsing parody, if you’ve seen the way Alucard grins. Any parody involving a slasher smile is fair game.
- A reference to Marathon Man. If you haven’t seen it, it involves a Nazi dentist and some fairly grotesque dental torture.

In a word, anything menacing with a trite little joke in the caption to disarm the threatening nature, considering the age groups involved. Or go the opposite direction, draw the entire thing in crayon, add “Age: (your age here…I know you said how old you are, but it’s not my place to broadcast it even if I know it)” and then some vaguely creepy joke. Example: “Johnny, Age 24, crayon picture of eerily, excessively happy teeth in braces.”

A common contest winning thing I see is when the artist puts various ethnicities together. That could be factored in to your picture in some way.

Put the pictures from the forum comics in there. You’ll win for suuuuurrrree. Not really but nothing to creepy, most people don’t like creepy even if it is awesome.

I wanted to do something like one of the pictures of the War-hammer battle paintings, but replace all the soldiers with teeth, and put my orthodontist in the middle of it, leading it. Or just my doctor on a cliff holding an over sized dental tool, with teeth flying in the air behind him. But none of those have smile in them, sooooo………no chance to win there, even though he’d probably pay me to frame it, and put it in his office.
