Well i wanted to discuss what do you guys think about the return of sandy, so far she havent meet maishul again, but at least we can see her not on a flash back/letter/photo

Well the new chapter is called “To the Top” and I was trying to figure out what the meaning behind it was. What I came up with is that Sandy is trying to get to the top of the modeling career or something along those lines, hence why she has to make a good impression on someone. I think her appearing in comic will likely lead to her joining the emo parade.

This whole thing with sandy is a ‘damned if you do and damned if you don’t’ situation. I do not like sandy, just because she added unimaginable amounts of angst to the comic. What if that letter mike received by sandy (the first one we saw) was torn up by Jerk, before mike checked his mail? then there would be no angst. except, maybe by sandy, but who cares about her, am i right?

It is about time there is finally a chapter about Sandy. For better or worse I do wish the whole MikexSandy thing would start to go somewhere.

You’re not alone Tayvin. We’re just in the vast minority unfortunately.

I like the whole Sandy arc. People like Pyrotwister claim it’s a bad thing that it created tensions and angst between Mike & Lucy, but… Hell. How fucking boring would it be if they just hooked up? Were’s the drama? Where’s the interest?

That aside, I also love the MikexSandy pairing. It’s one of those rare pairings that just… Works. You can’t even really explain it. The two of them are simply head over heels about each other, and it’s really sweet

Does MikexLucy work? Sure it does. But why? Because Mike is one of the few people who can tolerate Lucy’s shit. Which kind of sucks IMO. I think if she was able to get over her need to be 100% dependent on one person, they might work. As it stands though, it’s just a sad sad story.

That said, I still fully support MikexSandy.

Mike x Sandy is doomed by the fact that he got together with Sandy too early. All the stuff concentrating on Mike becomes a shaggy dog story. As such, the ending will not be Mike x Sandy.

I like Mike x Lucy, but really I support everything but Mike x Sandy (at least as an ending).

We haven’t seen enough of her to decide if we like her or not. That’s my beef, maybe it will change after this chapter.

I’m like Sandy’s character & I’m a fan of MikexSandy but I admit I’m slowly and steadily losing faith on this. After Sandy’s character was first brought up anything beyond friendship between Mike and Lucy seemed to fall to the wayside making the alternative easy to see and support. But really ever since the summer vacation arc ended things have certainly gotten more complicated with Sandy’s nonpresence and Lucy’s emotional angsty breakdown. I think that the next chapter could be interesting and I suspect a possible plot twist in the coming chapter.
I’ve also noticed that while Lucy has shown to be a very attached to Mike so has Mike proven to be attached to Sandy (albeit in a different way). Even if I’m MikexSandy I can’t help but see Mike as a person in love with an image of a person rather than the person itself, and not only this but read back and find that he is mindlessly in love with this image. Mike seems blind to all else that moves when with or thinking about Sandy .
*heavy sigh* at myself for typing all of that

It doesn’t really matter how much we like Sandy, its from a narrative standpoint I take the “Mike and Sandy will not end up together”.

That doesn’t mean that Mike and Lucy will necessarily end up together (though I hope they do, I guess, though I wouldn’t be disappointed if something else happened - I believe strongly in the author telling the story they want) but I strongly suspect the final couples are Mike x Lucy and Paulo x Daisy due to various things in the comic.

Here’s my opinion on most (if not all) the possible canon endings of all of the different characters
MikexLucy ending: Possible, quite possible
MikexSandy ending: I believe this to be a more likely ending for Mike, Though if that’s the case, I hope Lucy will have moved on at that point.
MikexDaisy ending: I don’t think so, Paulo said it himself, he thinks of Daisy as his sister and Daisy is not that into Paulo (mainly because of Abbey)
AbbeyxDaisy ending: I find those two to be the cutest couple in the comic and I hope they stay together in the end.
PauloxTess ending: It’s a slight chance but it’s very doubtful now that those two will end up together but… fingers crossed.
PauloxJasmine ending: Jasmine is the newest possibility for Paulo and, maybe, the next best thing for Paulo if PauloxTess isn’t possible.
PauloxLucy ending: I see no chance in this as clearly stated in past chapters. Paulo cares about Lucy, yes but he knows he’s not the best thing for her.

Eh, I think the likeliest ending couples are, in order:

Mike x Lucy + Paulo x Daisy
Mike x Daisy + Paulo x Lucy
Mike x Lucy + Abbey x Daisy
Paulo x Lucy + Abbey x Daisy + Mike x his hand

Some other endings are possible (for example, Mike and/or Lucy could end up alone by the end of it all; the only character I’m sure will be in a relationship at the end will be Daisy, really).

Abbey x Daisy doesn’t seem as likely to me due to a variety of factors - Daisy seems to really like Abbey, but it seems like to some degree its because he likes HER, and as Lucy herself states, he’s “as close to Mike” as she is likely to get… indicating that, yet AGAIN, someone is being a replacement goldfish, which is never really healthy.

Additionally, Paulo x Daisy has been hinted at continually throughout the entire length of the comic, back to the parenthood chapter, and in fact has been pretty consistent. While Paulo says he thinks of her as his sister… does he really? I don’t know that that is really the case, and really, the sheer amount of hints of the pairing are incredible. Heck, when he was being confronted by the girls, what sobered him up?

Heck, it may be a more likely pairing than Mike x Lucy, even, just because of the heavy foreshadowing.

Of course, it is also easily argued that Paulo x Lucy has been hinted at for quite a while as well, and it isn’t all that unlikely a relationship. In that case, you’d see Mike x Daisy or possibly Mike x No one.

Lucy x no one is a possible ending as well, but I don’t think it will happen - it is not outside the realm of possibility, though.

So far I only see one likely ending and that’s AbbeyxDaisy, everything else is pretty up in the air

One couple that is not going to be a canon ending is JasminexPaulo. Taeshi has had the ending in mind since before Jasmine was created, and I doubt it’s going to change. Sorry Jasmine fans

The best non-canon ending was when Mike got lost at sea for ten years. The line about Lucy being preserved as a loli was one of the greatest lines Taysh has ever written.

It was a one-off incentive, whole story encapsulated in one long-ass comic; so good that, to this day, it’s the only incentive I ever saved. I’ll upload it to somewhere later if I can. It was simultaneously the most awesome Mike has ever been and the sweetest Lucy has ever been.

And then: “They also banged eachother on the same beach that same day. 10 times. People watched. It was awesome.” The fact that it’s not canon yet is a travesty.

Funny, it was the first incentive I ever saved, just cause it was too hilarious, and I’ve saved them all since because of that one.

LucyXLucy: I imagine her having a mental breakdown and using a white jacket with really really long sleeves.

SandyX(RandomActor1 -> RandomActor2 -> RandomMusician1 -> etc): She is a model, and seems as if her life isn’t a happy one, so an unstable family life is very probable.

MikeX(Alcohol/BottomOfRiver): He depends too much on his girlfriend (whom is practically non existent) and is emotionally unstable. When reality hits him, he’ll try to escape.

Taysh has been EXTRA SOUL-CRUSHING this week.

Dunno if she’s just sleepy or if SuitCase is rubbing off on her too.
And as I stated about that partucular incentive comic before, Paulo and Daisy just happen to be there. Together.
