Well…putting the previous rage apart, and all the slaughter madness…this is my humble opinion.

Liberal or Conservative or Independent?: Independent.
Why: I’ve made my own mind and i see the world as i learn, see, feel and think.

Gay Marriage/Civil Unions: Gay Marriage.
Why: Love isn’t made for just one kind of people, as it’s expression says, it’s a union of two people, not necessarily man and woman. Every person is allowed to love who they want and to who they choose.

Abortion/Pro-life vs Pro-Choice: Pro-choice
Why: It’s on your hands, sometimes is needed when there are complications for the mother or even when there is no hope for the baby. Or in the worst case, in a R***e situation. But some other times is just some idiots trying to have fun without protection. That’s irresponsible and they should face they’re responsibility and learn well. Of course, if they’re grown up responsible people, not spoiled brats.

Marijuana: Legal or not? Legal. I think legal would make it better, but in small dose. Not to carry your pot everywhere and with that molest other people with the smell of the weed. It will be legal because great drug fights may finish with this kind of stuff.

Thats my mind.

I am liberal, but my party affiliation is independent.

This makes it even more difficult to live with my conservative republican parents.

Gay Marriage/Civil Unions:
I’m for gay marriage. Marriage is not an “institution that needs to be protected from the perverse actions of the gay community”. Marriage is, as others in this thread have said before me, a union between two people. Love is love. I believe that, no matter how jaded I am on the subject.

Abortion/ Pro-life vs. pro-choice
Now, this is a bit iffy for me. When it comes down to abortion, I have more specific beliefs about it.
Reasons why I would be against abortion:
Nothing religious here, I have separated myself from the church. I am just against it when people use abortion in order to avoid taking responsibility for what they have done. I know quite a few people who got abortions simply because they, “didn’t want to deal with it”. Not that they were unable to go through with a pregnancy, these people had enough money and resources to go through with a pregnancy and at least give the child up for adoption.
Reasons why I would be for abortion:
There are several people who have legitimate reason for getting an abortion. There are people who are simply unable to pay the expenses of being pregnant. There are others who become pregnant as a result of rape and other crime. There are other people, like a close personal friend of mine, who rely so heavily on their parents that they had to get the abortion in order to keep their parents’ support.
Anyways, as for people calling themselves “Pro-life”… being “Pro-Life” is a much bigger thing than being against abortion… and I’m not the only one who thinks this way. To me, “Pro-Life” means keeping all life “sacred”, so to speak. I am talking about doing away with the death penalty, improving living conditions for the poor, taking care of the homeless, taking good care of the environment, etc… You have no idea who sick to the stomach some of the “Stupid South Bible-Bumper Pro-Lifers” make me when they say they are against abortion but for the death penalty. And they have the nerve to say that they are “Pro-Life”…

Legal Marijuana
I honestly don’t really care about this matter.
