BEEP BEEP BEEP BE- and then the clock was flung across the room. Justin groaned, then got up and got dressed. He had breakfast, said goodbye to his parents and then got on his bike and pedaled down the road to school. After covering some distance, he noticed Cally walking on the sidewalk some distance away. He went a little faster to catch up to her.

“Hey Cally.” He called. The dog turned and smiled at seeing Justin.

“Hey Justin, nice bike.”

“Thanks.” He pedaled slow enough so that he was at the same pace she was.

“So, your first day of school in the States. Are you nervous?” He asked.

“Not in the slightest.” Cally answered. “I’m very, very excited, actually.”

“Does anything ever make you nervous?”

“The end of the world.” She simply said.

Justin stared. “Um… Okay…?”

“No I’m serious, the end of the world terrifies me. I accidentely watched the Day After Tomorrow years ago and that shook me right down to the core.”

“Wow.”

After some distance of walking/pedaling, Justin noticed Molly walking in the distance.

“Hey, there’s Molly.” He pointed out and then began pedalling forward, leaving Cally behind. Molly heard the bike coming up and turned around, waving at Justin. He stopped next to her and nodded his head.

“Hey, Molly.” He looked down and noticed she was carrying some papers. “What are those?”

“Oh these? Abbey forgot to bring these when he left to clean up the school so I decided to bring these to him.”

“Hey!” Cally called out. “Why did you leave me behind?” She ran up to the two and stopped, panting from the run.

“oops. Sorry Cally.” Justin apoligized.

“Who’s this?” Molly asked.

“This is Cally. Cally, this is Molly, my best friend.” Justin introduced. They both shook each other’s hands.

“Nice to meet you Cally.” Molly greeted.

“Very nice to meet you, actually.” Cally said.

“Cally just moved from Canada.” Justin said.

“Really?” Molly said. “Wow that’s-” But she was interrupted by a gust of wind that blew away all the papers that was loosely held, Molly sqeaked in surprise and chased after them.

“Wow.” Cally whispered to Justin. “I can see why you like her, she flipping hot! Have you tried to make a move?”

Justin stared at his newer friend like she was crazy.

“No! Of course not!”

“You better hurry, or else someone else will move in and it will be too late for you. And that someone could just be me.” Cally said as she looked over Molly as she was gathering the papers. Justin’s heard skipped a beat.

“W-w-w-what!?” He stared, his jaw dropped open. “You… you swing ‘that’ way?”

Cally looked back at him, her hands to her hips. “I don’t swing ‘that’ way.” She replied. “I swing both ways. Ever heard of Bisexual? You better watch your back too Romeo.”

Justin stared as Cally walked ahead and helped Molly pick the rest of the papers. Okay, nothing in the world would’ve prepared me for that. He thought as pedaled faster to catch up to his friends.

[I was pretty sure people would expect Cally to be the wedge between Molly and Justin’s relationship-to-be but how many people saw that aspect of Cally coming?]

[Alright guys, today is my last day of summer vacation, so I will not follow the schedule I loosely followed over the summer after today. I do not know when I will be able to post but, hopefully, I will have a chance]

Justin soon found out Cally was in some of the same classes he was in and she sat as close as she could to him. Which was something he didn’t want as he was still unsure of how to think of her. She liked guys and girls? and she was attracted to both him and Molly? For some reason the fact that she both him and Molly at the same time made him sick and aroused at the same time. But, upon watching how she acts, he soon found out that Cally is an open person. A very open person who is not at all afraid to speak her mind in anything. Justin predicted that’s going to be a huge problem for her later on. But he was, slightly, comforted by the fact that she seemed interested into, well, every other student in the school, regardless of gender. She even showed signs that she was attracted to Malcom, a big computer whizz who knows more about computers than Justin does, he carries a laptop everywhere he goes. For a moment, Justin thought she was just as attracted to him as she was with everyone else, but she showed more obvious signs that she was attracted to him personally.

Sign #1: He is the only one to have received a nickname from her: Romeo.
Sign #2: She sits or stands as close to him as possible.
Sign #3: While the teacher talks during a lesson, regardless of distance, she watches him with a kind, yet intoxicating look in her eyes.
Sign #4: She bought him a soda during lunch.

Cally was a nice girl attracted to everyone and bordered on the line defining very close friend and stalker. Justin would’ve wanted to stay away from her were it not for the fact that she was just innocent new student bordering on the idiotic. Plus, admittedly, she was cute. During lunch, Justin confronted Cally about the way she acted with everyone and that she seemed completely oblivious to the fact that she had already received some snide remarks behind her back. Her response: “You want me to buy you a soda?”

Justin then came to the conclusion that he would never, ever, truly understand Cally. She was too unpredictable. Not stupid, she obviously showed intelligence during class, maybe she just had trouble socializing with other people and had no idea, really, how to act in front of other people. She is going to have a hard time in the school, maybe a harder time when she reaches High school if she doesn’t improve.

At the end of day, Justin was glad to know that Cally was staying behind to make a few extra laps around the field (Like he previously concleded: Unpredictable). Now, when he walked home with Molly, he would be able to discuss what she thought of her particularly.

“She’s definitely… unique.” She said.

That’s one way to put it.

“Yeah, when I told that she would make a lot of enemies just for the way she acted, she bought me a soda as her answer. I don’t she understands how things… work in the school and if she does, why does she not give us a reasonable answer?”

“Maybe, in time, we’ll get to know how she thinks and be able to explain things better. She’s probably not use to this yet. I’m sure once she gets to know us better, she’ll start making more sense to us.”

“Maybe. Did you… notice anything weird with the way she acted towards you, in particular?”

“Me? No, I didn’t see her much during the school day.”

So she was just hanging around him, why? She said she had more of an direct interest in Molly than him, was it because Molly was older and harder to get to? Justin pondered for the rest of the night, trying to figure out why Cally was acting the way she was.

BEEP BEEP BE- Was all the clock had time to announce before it was grabbed, and flung across the room. Two and half beeps? That’s a record. Justin thought as he groggily got out of bed. Got dressed, had breakfast, said goodbye to his parents, went out to go on his bike, met with his friends, got to school, then noticed something different. Jeremy, Sam, and Lawrence were not in the usual spot they were in. Justin thought that it was odd but quickly forgot about it. Then, he noticed they weren’t in the classes he was. Something was up. When Lunch came and Justin still didn’t see them in the spot they ALWAYS went to in the cafeteria, he decided to know what exactly was going on. Justin went to the office to ask if anyone knew what happened.

“They’re not going to be here for at least a week?” The lady at the desk answered.

“A wha-?” Justin’s face went pale.

“Jeremy’s whole family is on a camping trip some miles away, and they apparentely invited Lawrence along as well.”

“Oh… Okay.” Justin said in a very small voice. “Thanks for letting me know.”

He turned and slowly walked out of the small office.

Oh crap! He thought. If they’re going to be gone for a whole week that means they’ll be behind a week’s worth of homework! And I’m gonna have to do ALL of it when they get back. Ohh… Someone shoot me now.

“Hey Romeo!” A voice said behind him making him jump. Literally.

“BAAAAAAH!” Justin, after landing on the ground, turned and saw Cally staring at him, completely unphased by Justin’s reaction.

“C-cally *pant pant* don’t DO that! I was in middle of thinking *Pant*.”

“Thinking? About what? Your Juliet~?” She said in a teasing tone.

“My what?” The image of Molly passed by his head. “Oh god damnit Cally!” He yelled.

“Woah! Jeez, sorry. Now I know not to bother you when you’re deep in thought but I had a question.”

“About what?”

“About the Missing signs that are across the entire town.”

“Oh those. Well…” Justin was very thankful to have something taken off his current state of mind, Cally seemed to be good at doing that. “Those have been around for years, someone went missing without warning a long time ago. The Police looked everywhere but couldn’t find anything and the case was soon dropped. Those signs are the parents desparate attempt for finding him.”

“Wow…” Cally stared with obvious interest. “They never found him?”

“Nope. One day he’s there all happy and fine and dandy. The next: gone without a trace. The Police couldn’t find anything to his disapperance. It’s a mystery.”

“What was he like?”

“How should I know? He disappeared when I was still in elementary school. I think he just ran away. Simple as that.”

“Huh…” Cally looked away. For moment, they just stood there. Justin then turned to get to class a few minutes before the bell rang.

“Michael…” He heard Cally mutter.

“Huh?”

“That was his name. I looked at one of the signs. A Korat who wore a yellow and orange scarf. Last seen in the High school. Gone without a trace apparentely. That’s… Perfect!” She cheered while snapping her fingers.

“Now I know what to interview people about!”

“Interview?”

“Yeah, you know… For the English project?”

Justin stared, clueless.

“That’s… due first thing tomorrow?” Cally said.

“English project? I have no memory of an Engli-” Then it hit him. He suddenly remembered about the project that’s worth 20% of his term mark. He turned and ran, where exactly he did not know.

[Aww, people like this enough to bump it, I’m flattered]

As the bell rang and everyone eagerly exited the school, Justin was deep in thought in what he was supposed to do.

Okay, I gotta figure out what to interview people about. Then I’ve got to interview people about the subject. Then write it well for tomorrow morning. Yeah, I can do this. I mean, Cally has to do hers at about the same time as me so everything should be-

“Hey Justin!” A cheerful voice behind him said.

“Dah!” Justin yelled as he spun around and saw Molly.

“Oh.. Molly. Sorry, I was thinking about my English project that’s due tomorrow.”

“Oh Cally told me about that. I’m sure you’ll do fine. But right now I’ve got to ask you something.”

“What.”

“Cally said that before she talked to you, she saw that you looked pretty distressed. Did something happen?”

“Um… No, nothing major happened.”

“Something minor then?”

“Yes, minor, so it shouldn’t bother me. Let’s forget about it.”

“Are you sure? Come on, Justin! Why don’t we head over to my place and you can tell me about it?”

“Wha- again? This isn’t like you, Molly.”

“Justin, you’re my friend and there’s a problem you’re having and I want to help solve it so let’s go!” Molly said cheerfully as she grabbed Justin’s arm and pulled him along.

“Ah! Now!? Why now!?”

“Why not now!?” She asked.

What’s gotten into her? He thought.

“So… Molly?” Cally said as she and Molly walked through the hallway.

“Yes?”

“Justin seems like a pretty cool guy, huh?”

“Yep. I’m glad he’s my friend.” Molly said in a proud tone.

“I think I’ll ask him out!” The Canadien declared.

Molly stopped where she was.

“Erm…Come again?”

Now…

Cally hid behind a tree and watched as Molly dragged Justin away.

“Yep. That confirms it.” She muttered to herself, smiling. “Those two are crazy for each other, but they probably won’t admit it. This is gonna be tricky…”

[I’m back everyone! With a rather long and interesting post. Enjoy and hopefully I’ll get more going soon]

Cally watched as Molly dragged Justin away a little more, then she reached into her small bag and grabbed out a pen and a notebook.

“Now I better start focusing on my homework. I’ll worry about those two lovebirds later.” She said to herself. She opened the book and looked at all the names listed their, below each of them was their address. “Hmm… who to interview first?”

She decided to go with the first one listed. Although it wasn’t the closest, she didn’t mind the walk there, she needed the excercise. When she arrived at the house, she walked quietly over to the front door and knocked. A few moments later, a siamese cat opened the door and looked down at her.

“Yes?” He said.

“Good afternoon Mister…” Cally looked down at list and saw his name. “…Augustus! I’d like to ask you a few questions.”

“If you’re one of those girl scouts, no! I don’t want any cookies.”

“Actually, this is a school assignment I’m doing.”

“Oh? What kind of questions are you going to ask?”

Cally looked up, now it was time to be serious.

“The disappearance of a certain Korat named Michael?”

Cally thought she saw something flicker in Augustus’ eyes but it disappeared.

“Hmm… You do know I barely knew him, right?”

“No I did not. But you do know at least a little about him, right?”

“Well… To an extent.”

“Then I’ll still ask my questions if that’s alright?”

“Fine…”

“Can you tell me what you knew about him?”

“All I know is that he’s an average guy who did all the same things we did, however, I did hear rumours about him having a girlfriend that lived hundreds of miles away but the details were sketchy. Some said she lived in Rickter, others said she lived in New York. And a few claimed she lived in Istanbul.”

Augustus shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know.”

“You think this girl might have something to do with his disappearance?” Cally asked, completely intrigued.

“Possibly.” The Siamese answered. “But about a month or so before he vanished, he looked extremely disturbed.”

“Disturbed?”

“And angry, and sad. I can only assume something had happen between them.”

“I see. That must have something to do with his disappearance.”

“You might have better luck asking Daisy.”

“Daisy?” Cally looked down on her list, there was a Daisy and she was third on the list.

“Or Sue, or even Lucy, but I strongly suggest you don’t go for Lucy she’s… been rather disturbed herself since Mike disappeared.”

Cally looked back at her list and found Sue and Lucy.

“Well, I guess I’ll go to Sue next. Thank you very much, Augustus.”

“My pleasure.”

Augustus smiled politely and closed the door while Cally turned and put a check mark beside his name. Then, she walked over to Sue’s address.

[No, Sammy, this isn’t a tie-in with Kara’s story, it’s completely different.]

Cally knocked on the door that was Sue’s house. A few minutes later, a light-brownish furred cat looked down at her.

“Can I help you?” She asked.

“Is your name Sue?” Cally asked.

“Uh, yes.”

“My name’s Cally. I’d liked to ask you some questions.”

Sue leaned on the door and smiled. “Alright, ask away. I’ve got a lot of free time on my hands.”

“It’s about Michael.”

Sue’s smile disappeared instantly and her face became sad.

“I already asked someone else about him and learned that he was in a long-distance relationship with a girl, is this true?”

Sue nodded. “The girl he was dating lived in Rickter.”

Cally nodded in answer. “I also learned that he seemed quite distressed just before he disappeared.”

Sue’s face became more solemn. “It’s my fault…”

“What?”

“Mike and Sandy, the girl he was in a relationship with, used to talk to each other via phone all the time but then Mike was unable to get a hold of her for months. No matter how many times he called, Sandy wouldn’t answer. That’s when I was…”

She stopped, took a deep breath, then continued. “…When I was on the internet, I found something that I really wished I hadn’t. Hold on… I’ll see if I can find it…”

Sue closed the door behind her. Cally stood outside and waited for quite some time. When Sue finally opened the door, Cally noticed that her face was wet from tears and she held a piece of paper in her hand. Cally took the paper and looked at it, it was a paper printed from a news site in Rickter. The words on it read: Wealthy Mother, Father and Daughter Murdered.

Cally saw a picture of the said family that was murdered. One of them was a beautiful white furred cat with long, black hair that was kept together with a blue rippon.

“This is Sandy?” Cally asked.

Sue nodded. “When I showed it to Mike he…” She shook her head as the memory passed through her.

“I’m sorry.” Cally said.

Sue merely nodded. Cally knew this was hurting Sue badly and she wanted to just say that she was done but she knew there was at least one more question she had to ask.

“Do you think this has something to do with Mike’s disappearance?”

“Yes. I’m sure it does.” She answered, her voice beginning to crack. “If I had never shown him that, he might still be here…”

“Wondering why his girlfriend no longer contacted him.” Cally said. “You did the right thing in telling him of this.”

They stood in silence for moment, then Cally spoke.

“Is there anyone around that knows him well?”

“Lucy…” Sue muttered. “…But I wouldn’t go to her, she was… Is still in love with him and ever since Mike had vanished, she’s kept most of her time in her home and won’t talk to anyone.”

“Alright. Thanks for everything, Sue, I know this has been tough.”

Sue nodded. “You have a good evening.”

“You too.” Cally smiled reassuringly. Sue returned it with a weak smile, then closed the door. Cally looked back at the paper, and at Sandy in the picture. It pained her to know that someone this beautiful was killed, she probably did nothing to deserve it. Cally put a check mark beside Sue’s name then looked at the rest of the list.

I doubt anyone else can give me anymore info on Mike She thought. But maybe I can figure something out if I pay Lucy a visit.

[Goddammit, do you all hate Sandy so much that you all party like there’s no tomorrow because she dies in a non-canon fanfic? I mean, come on, she’s not that bad is she?]

Cally stopped in front of the door of the house. For some unknown reason, she didn’t want to knock on the door, she shook her head and tapped on the door. She waited… and waited. She knocked a little harder this time. The door opened, and an angry white cat wearing a dark coat looked down at her.

“What do you want!?” She yelled.

“Um, are you Lucy?” Cally asked. I can see why they didn’t want me to see her.

“Yeah, and who are you?” She asked.

“My name’s Cally and I’d like to ask you some questions.”

Lucy’s eyebrow lifted up. “What kind of questions?”

Cally hesitated and wondered how to approach the subject as softly as possible.

“Questions that I know are very sensitive for you.”

“What kind of questions?” She repeated, growling.

“Questions about the disappearance of Mik-” The next thing Cally remembered was that she was lying on the ground, her face under excruciating pain and blood pouring from her now broken nose.

“Get the fuck out of here!” Lucy yelled. “Too many times have little fuckers like you asked me what happened to him and too long has the memory of him and my pets haunted me. Leave now before I call the police!”

Cally’s vision was blurry and she found hard to get up. She heard the door slam behind her and something smash from inside the house as well as screaming. After a few minutes, Cally found she could stand straight and see clearly but her face was still hurting a lot.

“Ow…” She groaned. “That girl can hit fast and hard! It’s like she’s been doing it for years.”

“You okay?” She heard an old voice call from behind her. She turned and saw only the house.

“Up here.” The voice called. Cally looked up and saw a blue bird sitting on the edge of the roof. The bird jumped and glided down to the grass next to Cally. “I’m sorry about Lucy, she’s been particularly unfriendly when Mike left.”

“You knew him?” Cally asked. The bird nodded.

“He’s been my caretaker for years.”

“Do you know what happened to him?” She asked.

The bird shook his head. “No. All I know is that a few months before he had disappeared, he was extremely sad and angry for the death of his girlfriend but what was weird was I overheard him mumbling. He kept saying he could go back and stop it from happening. I was getting worried that he was losing his mind. And then he vanishes without a trace.” He shook his head again. “I don’t think he could handle it.”

“Are you saying he went off and killed himself!?”

The bird didn’t answer for what felt like the longest time. “It’s getting late.” He soon said. “You should head back home. Goodnight.”

“G-goodnight.” Cally said. The bird then flapped his wings and flew away. After a few moments, Cally began the long trek to her house. After crossing a few blocks, she bumped into a black cat that she had seen in her school before.

“Hey, what happened to your nose!?” She asked.

“Someone punched me.” Cally answered.

The girl reached into her purse and pulled out a tissue paper.

“Here.” She said handing it to Cally.

“Thanks.” She said and gratefully took it.

“I’m Cassidy.” She said.

“Cally.” Cally said and smiled as she carefully cleaned herself up. “But… Call me Cal.”

“Cally… You’re that new girl from Canada, right?”

“That’s me.”

“I’ve heard from other kids in the school that you act a little odd.”

“I’m only acting myself, if anyone else has a problem with it then they’ll just have to deal with it.”

Cassidy nodded. “Atta girl.”

“Why can’t some people just accept that?”

“Maybe they’re afraid of showing their true selves, I know my dad is.”

“What’s your dad’s name?”

“Larken.”

“With a name like that, he must’ve been cold-hearted.”

“Oh, he was until he met my mother, Briana.”

They giggled.

“Girls, they bring out the best in people, that’s one of the reasons I like dating them.” Cally said.

“Really?”

“Yeah. I’m bisexual.”

Cassidy nodded. She reached into her purse and pulled out a slip of paper and a pen. She wrote something down and handed to Cally. Cally looked and saw that it was a number.

“Call me sometime, we should totally hang out.” Cassidy said, smiling. She waved and walked away. Cally stared for a moment then continued on. Despite the fact that her nose was broken and her face ached, she smiled. Less then a week here and I’ve already got a date! Man, I’m on a roll!

[In case you’re wondering, Tae, that girl that Justin bumped into was in fact Lucy.]

Two things; one, emo Lucy is a horrifying idea and she will surely kill us all, and two, Larken. As a father. Either Larken is a more common name than I thought or holy shit balls no frakkin’ way.

Soo just how old are Justin and Molly now? If the cast are all growed up, then that would make Justin about 11?

[@Jimmy
I am not insane, I’m just a big MikexSandy fan *Dodges almost everything flung at him*
Yeah yeah, hate me all you want…]

“Okay… I am thinking of something.” Molly said.

“Is it alive?” Justin asked.

“Yes.”

“Is it a he?”

“Yes.”

“Is he a dog?”

“Yes.”

“Is it David Tennant?”

Molly blinked and looked at Justin in disbelief. “How did you-?”

Justin chuckled. If there was one thing he was unbeatable at, it was 20 Questions.
“C’mon Molly, I know how big of a fan you are of him.”

Justin and Molly had spent the last few hours playing a few games, watching some TV, and chatting about things. When they had arrived at her place, Molly seemed to avoid the odd looks her step-parents and elder brother gave her but they welcomed Justin in. The young dog could’ve sworn he heard Abbey chuckling as he followed Molly up to her room. Then a thought came to Justin, Molly had told him her reasoning for dragging him here was because he was distressed about something but she hadn’t even mentioned it when they arrived. The reminder that Jeremy, Sam, and Lawrence were on vacation for a week and that he would do all of their homework when they returned came and slumped down on his chair and groaned. Molly tilted her head slightly.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“For now…” Justin groaned.

“What has gotten your spirits so down all of the sudden?”

“The thought of endless amount of work to do next week… Ah! I mean…” Justin did not want Molly knowing that he was doing the homework for the 3 kids he hated. If she found out, she’d go on a rampage finding them and telling them off and that’s the last thing Justin wanted, if she found out about the deal he made with them and the reason behind it…

“…I mean the thought of another year of school!” He quickly lied. Molly’s head tilted a little more, her face showing greater confusion.

“Bit late to be worrying about the school year isn’t it?”

Before Justin could say anything else, Kevin’s voice rang up the hall.

“Justin! Your mother’s here!”

Oh thank goodness… He thought as he got up and went down to the front door. HIs mother stood their talking to Kevin.

“…Usually Molly would warn us a little bit before hand before she brought her friends here.” Kevin said.

“Well, at least I know he’s here.” Justin’s mother smiled as he came down the stairs. After he waved goodbye to Molly and her family, Kevin closed the door and Justin followed his mother down to the sidewalk. After they gained some distance from the house his mother slowed somewhat.

“So…” She said, her tone now much more suspicious. “What did you two do?”

Justin knew a blush was growing on his face. “ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!” He yelled.

“Uh-huh…” She said and he knew she didn’t believe him.
