There is already a thread like this and Taeshi has said she know how the story will end. We just have to wait for it.

But seriously though, there IS an end to BCB planned. There’s also a “good” and “bad” endings. They’re up to Taeshi whether or not we see the good or bad, though.

This topic is like the Ubuntu Virus of Retardedness.

The problem with endings is: webcomics don’t end. I have read many, and have only seen two ending: Kid Radd and Concerned. Some continue for a long time, some end abruptly with an announcement (rip Thunderstruck ) and some just slow down before stopping and dying with no ending.

8-Bit Theater ended.

Oh, right. I hoped it would be another cop-out, so I kinda forgot about it. We know three webcomics that had an ending. We can be happy in knowing that if BCB stays popular and Taeshi stays inspired we’ll probably be reading it until we die.

I prefer stories that have a definite beginning and ending, otherwise it’s just a narrative cocktease.

There can be 3 approaches to series:
1) It all tells a big story
2) Each arc is a story, the series is the world. The world doesn’t die when one story is over.
3) Who cares about the story, =>pony/blood/boobies<= (choose any 2).

Then who tells the story when the author can’t anymore? It all has to end sometime.

Think about book series. The last book usually doesn’t have an epic ending that summarizes the story of all other books (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tried that, where did it get him? Exactly.) The last book is just the book that happens to be written last.

Worked for J.R.R. Tolkien, and that epic summary, assuming it’s been planned properly, is how a series should conclude. It ties up all the loose ends and provides closure. Or it should.

A well-done ending is good, yes. But for some series it’s hard to create a good one.
In some works there is a central conflict and once it’s resolved there’s nothing more to write about. But when there’s nothing really starting the story, it’s hard to find a suitable event to end it.

I didn’t mean that it’s impossible, or that stories with no ending are better. Just that there are good series with no ending and no organic way to add one. They are a series of stories, each of which has an ending. They do not form one big story.

A show without an arc innately ends every episode. That being said, a lot of THOSE shows can have endings as well.

WEBCOMICS CAN HAVE ENDINGS expeshily if its i mew it was brand new and they never eva did the bloody thing this is betta anyway

they only update every 10 million years or they never got the guts to finish it it did lyk 10 bloody pages. there not stuffed to do it. shame on them shame on all of them

But I hope that this comic goes further and further before the actual end.
And if it ends it can be done again… as a animation or a remake.
You know… because things may be told many times and in different ways.

i really hope that BCB continues on for a long time. its a great story and i believe taishi will make the best ending possible for the story when it ends.

I’m just hoping for Lucy and Mike to get together, that’s why I’m reading this comic in the first place. x.x

This thread is suffering from the horrible disease of lack of punctiation. Can anyone even understand what that meg fellow is wirtting? And as the replies show up, the disease spreads, with more and more - otherwise normal - people being affected and no longer using commas, full stops, capitalised letters and other less common punctuation. It is a horrible fate for a thread and for a person, but with strength and resilience, there is a way through.

I don’t want to spoil the ending but the ending would look like extreme drama and stuff about future generations from 6th grade (I think) to college something like that.
