+I think you’re being a bit big-headed. After all, I read BCB. I am probably an example of someone who is not “emotionally mature” or “sensible”.

Is BCB too “High-Class”?

Why did they instantly decide this?
Comment ID #61400
Because this is the internet. In my group of friends, myself and another read BCB and everyone else (save…three, leaving a whole crapload) assume that this site is all about furry porn.

Oh hannibal.
Everyone knows the internet is for porn!

BCB is a good mix for just about anyone. Its got humor appropriate for young teens through adults. It covers themes that that same, wide age range can appreciate.

Well to be fair my Trent Micro virus scanner is showing the page as “Untested” (as opposed to “Safe,” it won’t even let me on a page labeled “Dangerous&rdquo
, as a rule of thumb I generally avoid any page with that label.
Also it did take some time for me to like BCB so perhaps it’s something of any acquired taste.

Haters gonna hate. Just go with it.

HA, I can’t wait for another path, it’s going to be silly….

Wake me up when it’s over, would you? I will preserve the sanctity of my personal canon.

When another path is here, it’ll be the beginning of the end for the BCB world that could have been in another reality had certain events taken a different route…
Anyhow, there ain’t no class here! Joking, It’s just like a westernised manga site. Jokes are for kids but there’s adult humour in between too. Nothing wrong with it, in fact it broadens the appeal of the site.

Elliot, im not at all sensible, and im a redneck in most aspects of my life. I understand and enjoy this comic.
So no, not at all. NOT AT ALL ![]()

BCB is for girly girls!!

I’m pretty opposite of emotionally “mature.” I’ve learned how to deal with my emotions, but I’m viewed as possibly the most apathetic person ever by just about everyone that has met me. I am in no way empathetic, yet this is my favorite comic out of the 14 which I read…So no.
If I had to guess, I’d say you’re friends don’t trust you very much if they automatically assume that any website you send them to will infect their computers.

If you talk in the skype main chat you’d know by now half the people here need to be beaten with the maturity stick.

Can I do it?
PLEASE let me do it!!!

In all honesty, a quick look around the forums will probably tell you that this isn’t exactly a highbrow sort of place.

Elliot,
Yes and no, to both your questions. Just take into account many of the animated movies recently featured. They have elements for both the young and old. Does one need to be mature and sensible to gain entertainment from the comic? No. Will only those who are sensible and mature enjoy this comic? No.
Are you big headed? A bit (aren’t we all though)? You ask the question if this comic “is for the emotionally mature, sensible minority of people”. In the least, you’re seeing their response two-dimensionally. If a coin only has two sides, then what is the edge that connects them both? Though I cannot say for sure from your post, I will assume that you did not ask them to explain their conclusion.
Your friends’ judgment, it seems, is based solely on a cursory examination of the site. They have probably been exposed to some web pages that are infected or have seen too much furry porn floating on the web and have had prejudices ingrained because of these things.
More importantly though, you should learn from this all. To glance at something is not the same as to look at it. Try not to look at things on the surface, as your friends have, but look deeper. Also (if you haven’t done so to the friends you’ve originally texted) try to explain further WHY you like this comic. Nothing helps people understand each other more than by talking. Above all, remember that an experience means only as much as you gain from it.

A comic with depth, not a bad thing in my personal opinion.

its fine the way it is

It just takes a lot to convince people to read something that you end up forcing someone to read it. Once they do however, they usually get hooked on it.

too “high class” ?!
no ! you know whats that called ?
it’s called being GOOD !
aother webcomic artist could do well to read this and learn sumthin’ from lil.
i’m tired of seeing comics where the entire plot exists soly as a bridge between boob jokes.

Thanks, you guys. And yes, I am about as big-headed as they come. Then again, one of the smartest ans most sensible people I know decided it was a good idea to throw himself down a snow covered bank into a barbed-wire fence, and physically dragged two other people with him. Imagine Mike’s expression half the time he’s being hit by Lucy, or when he’s hanging off of that cliff. That was what they looked like.

‘Emotionally mature’? Dude, we have at least three threads dedicated to porn.
But yeah. Good comic, some emotional or violent parts, occasionally softcore/implied sexual shtuff. PG-13 at least, but not ‘high-class’.
Comment ID #78227
i approve. Alot of webcomics these days are just sensless violence or comedy. I would say this is -too- high class, but I will say for sure that the maturity of BCB is refreshing, if not needed on the web

Opposites attract each other.
So when the fanbase is immature and vulgar, then logically, the comic must be…
I jest, I jest. Sorry, dears ^_^
Head back to the forum index.

Not to annoy anyone, is just that I tried mentioning BCB to a couple of my friends through texts and they instantly decided it must be porn or a site full of viruses. Plus, Taehi’s comics are very emotionally mature, and a decent sense of empathy is required. Sooo, basically I’m asking if you guys think that BCB is for the emotionally mature, sensible minority of people? Or am I just being big-headed?
