attetion all mikexlucy fans i have a question for you i want you to look back at the point were sandy moves away and tell me that if sandy never existed would there even be a spark between mike and lucy becausee when sandy moved away mike tried replaing her with lucy and thats how the spark was set. and if you belaive there was a chance plz post it and explain?

Did you even realize that Mike was going crazy for Sandy and left Lucy alone? What kind of a friend is that? There’s nothing more that screams ”asshole” than putting your girlfriend or boyfriend before your friends. And that’s my point, firestar. When Sandy moved away he wanted to replace her with Lucy. That hurt Lucy a lot; she didn’t do anything wrong. So in conclusion, Mike is a true sannavabitch. He doesn’t deserve Sandy OR Lucy.

Mike is blind to all else that moves when Sandy is around. If Sandy hadn’t exsisted he would never have neglected his friendship with Lucy when they were younger, Lucy may have had far fewer trust issues, she might not have become so attached to Mike, she might have opened herself up to others…who knows…(well I’m sure Taeshi does)

Firstly, Noodle, you need to remember that Mike was only really friends with Lucy back then because she forced him to be her friend. His neglecting her actually doesn’t really surprise me that much.

As for the actual topic… If not for Sandy, I believe that they would have EVENTUALLY ended up together, since Lucy would always look to him as her one true oldest friend etc. The one who was there when no one else was. So even if she did open up to the others, he’d still have his special place with her, and Mike would eventually settle on the idea that he liked her too. Either that or he’d end up with Daisy.

Well, Taeshi mentioned that in the old series Mike had a romantic interest in Lucy, and in that scenario he had already given up on Sandy. So…if Mike and Lucy’s personalities were the same back then as they were at the beginning of BCB…it’s certainly possible and likely probable.

Lucy liked Mike even before then. Without Sandy, Lucy would probably just be a happier person and that would probably make Mike like her even more, as she would probably be more willing to open up to him.

Yes. It was already established in a previous arc that Mike had/has feelings for Lucy. There is no reason to believe that the total removal of Sandy from the equation would change anything.
