Question! Are orders being delivered by UPS, FedEx, or another shipping company? I just want to know what to keep a lookout for.

Just got my package today, I’m in West-Brisbane. All is in perfect condition, much appreciated!

That’s great. It seems that all is well with our shipping and packing methods. Thanks for the reports.

Draixen, just standard air mail. It should be delivered by your regular national postal service.

Got my Key Charms today, all the way over in lil ol’ England :D Michael’s tassel-thing was missing, but that’s ok - I’m gonna find some string and hang him from my rear view mirror!

Oh, and thanks for the awesome drawing xD You spelt ‘Huddersfield’ just fine!

Eep! Sorry. I hope you’re able to deal without it! It must have fallen off while we were packing.

Do let us know if you want us to mail you one of the straps when we get more.

SuitCase August 24, 2010, 9:13 PM EST.

Comment ID #81320

Thank you so much SuitCase! It actually got here a day earlier than expected. Also,Taeshi thanks for the handwritten note and half broken button. Thanks again!

Draixen August 25, 2010, 12:16 AM EST.

I got a piece of mail today from you guys that was supposed to contain a Michael keychain and a Team Sandy button but all I got was an envelope with a gaping whole on the left with only the hand-written note from Taeshi (which was really nice by the way) inside :’( crappy postal service

Sonata August 25, 2010, 2:08 AM EST.

Comment ID #81358

I should note that Draixen’s slightly damaged Sandy button was a freebie we threw in! I hope this isn’t giving the impression we’ve sent broken stuff.

Sonata — aaa! That’s terrible. What was your name? We can resend you that stuff as soon as we get stock. Or I could send it tomorrow if you don’t mind it missing the phone strap (we are currently out of stock of those).

Also, was it in a yellow envelope or a white one?

SuitCase August 25, 2010, 3:06 AM EST.

Comment ID #81366

Oh wow, really? :D My name is Zachary Brockman. It was sent in a white envelope, and I kinda wanted the phone strap thing unless there’s an easy way to replace that with a keyring or something (but even so, I am pretty lazy so I might just have to wait). Do you know when more stock is expected? Thanks so much!! But would you guys be losing money at all? I’d be happy to donate some money if so

Sonata August 25, 2010, 3:34 AM EST.

Comment ID #81374

Not all that much! If it was a full fan pack that went missing then I’d be a little more hesitant, but it’s not a problem at all to replace what you bought.

If you like, I’ll wait until we get stock of the straps, and then send a new one. I’m really sorry. Can you tell from the envelope whether it was our shoddy packaging or a customs official that opened it? I did try to seal all the envelopes but our packaging material wasn’t the final type we want to use for future orders, which is why a lot of you had bits of bubble wrap rather than nice padded envelopes.

Oh noes I woke up this morning to put my David key ring on my phone (cause i didn’t get the stuff til late last night) and the tail was cracked. Oh well nothing elmer’s glue can’t fix :)

Yeah, they’re not indestructible. Once you hold one you get a pretty good idea of how much stress they can take. The good thing is even if you crack it, the laminated front doesn’t seem to get damaged, and it all stays together. We tried to make the shapes structurally-sound regardless.

SuitCase August 25, 2010, 11:28 AM EST.

Comment ID #81589

Yeah that’s what happened with my David, but it was still kinda together, so like I said: elmer’s glue :3

Draixen August 25, 2010, 11:30 AM EST.

Thank you sooo much, you guys rock! I will definitely donate some money in the donation section

Yeah, I’ll wait until more straps arrive. Will I still get an email when it ships?

Well I’m leaning more to the idea that is was accidental considering how it is and the fact that there’s a small hole on the back of the envelope, but the shape and concept of the hole just makes it look purposeful (or maybe I’m paranoid about evil, grubby, BCB-obsessed postal workers)

Sonata August 25, 2010, 9:36 PM EST.

Comment ID #81822

Also (for the white envelopes) do you usually wrap the items in bubble wrap or put some pieces in seperately? ‘Cause I’m trying to figure out how the little note managed to make it while everything else slipped out ?_?

Sonata August 25, 2010, 9:40 PM EST.

Comment ID #81870

I wrapped everything in bubble wrap, so I can only assume the envelope tore.

And sure, I’ll email you when!

I have two questions:

Q1- How big are the keyring charms?
Q2- What kinds of chains do they come with?

Oh, you should make a Amaya charm :)

Comment ID #83129

@Taeshi I wouldn’t be surprised if it took longer to get here, after all I live in the middle of Canada and the candy is coming from Australia… I’m pretty patient.

ChewySmokey August 28, 2010, 7:28 AM EST.

Comment ID #83131

Heh, see Tae I am almost positive the problem is the Canadian Postal service. Remember how late my T-Shirt was too, it’s gotta be something for us Canadians :P

Rukral August 28, 2010, 7:39 AM EST.

Comment ID #83134

I’ve found in the past that letters that are larger than they should be can get held up for odd amounts of time then eventually delivered. I’m sorry if that’s the case. I’d wait longer, as it was just general airmail and it can vary a lot.

well I’ll be damned, exactly 10 business days since I received the email that my candy shipped, it arrives! No problems with the packaging either, everything is intact. I’m pretty amazed it got here on time to Saskatchewan. Thanks, I shall enjoy my bitter-sweets now :)

Just had a new thought for the store today:
The Music of Bittersweet Candy Bowl!

Seriously, Taeshi throws a vast number of tracks into the story, usually sung by the cast, although occasionally just referenced. The Animated Edition guys will probably turf them all out eventually, but this might be a good time to see whether you can get the permissions to sell a CD / download list of them.

I haven’t really researched this, but surely there must be some (legal) way to advertise other people’s music, yet still make a minor profit?

Why wouldn’t you like a bcbdvd?

Draixen September 6, 2010, 7:26 PM EST.

Comment ID #87178

Multiple reasons, but this isn’t the right thread to discuss them. Making a thread to hate on the animated series would just result in hate towards the thread. Nothing would be accomplished because criticism would not be accepted.

Here is the content, and you can see that my Fan Pack is complete

Thanks again for the Fan Pack, and so thanks for the back of the Note Taeshi, will my record of the “Longest Address Ever” will be beaten? If it is, let me know!

We got some more straps, but the big order of charms is still on its way.

If anyone cares, we have a bunch of Sandy, Michael and Daisy charms ready to send, so long as you don’t buy any other characters.

SuitCase September 8, 2010, 2:15 PM EST.

YES!
Not 5 minutes ago, my cute-but-cold Sandy Mug finally arrived! I feel so manly right now!

Amusingly, I’m also closer to Sandy than Mike’s been in years.

Yappy September 9, 2010, 8:16 AM EST.

Didn’t you order that ten years ago?

The sample I ordered only took like, two weeks!

SuitCase September 9, 2010, 2:11 PM EST.

Comment ID #88793

August 10th, so just under a month. But it does kinda feel like ten years. And your order woulda been international too… hmm…

I guess they just don’t like Brits. >:|

Yappy September 9, 2010, 4:18 PM EST.

Comment ID #90110

Not to whine or rush or anything, but I was just wondering when my order would reship?

Sonata September 13, 2010, 3:13 AM EST.

Comment ID #90131

I was hoping our supplier would manufacture the keyring charms in something less than the quoted 15-20 business days, but it appears they’re taking their time. This Wednesday is the deadline (by the “20 business days” measure) so I’m waiting until then.

I suspect you’ll have to wait another two weeks, assuming they ship this week. I’ll post updates in this thread.

SuitCase September 13, 2010, 4:32 AM EST.

Comment ID #90822

Oh hey, they emailed and said the charms are on their way. Expect to wait about 10 days from now for us to mail out the orders we have queued up.

Putting together 500+ keychain charms is going to take a few days. We have all the stock we need to fulfill orders and will hopefully email you by Monday about all the packages that are on their way!
