And all the while Agamemon was dead

I feel like stabbing someone now… I just can’t put a finger on who this someone is. For some reason the name “Hebs” springs to mind

Far off in the distance, a faint glow is seen for a few moments. Though dim, it is very wide, reaching further each way than anyone could see without turning their heads. An ominous omen… But as quick as it appeared, the glow vanished…

The dog let’s out a painful growl, as it dives at the nearest target it can see, Amaja. Despite all the damage inflicted to it, it’s teeth seem just as sharp and deadly as ever… The trouble was that the teeth dripped with an unholy cocktail of vile and festering liquids…

Albert looks down at Liselotte, but still keeping an eye on the animal just in case
Oh thats a shame.
How else are we supposed to remeber you’re a bloodthirsty vampire?
He then watches as the dog lunges towards Amaja
Oh god no!
He runs towards the dog and dives into it’s chest, trying knock it over

Quickly waking Makar, Susanna carefully takes up a defensive position near the centre of the group. She pulls up the inky illusion, making sure she and Amaja have a clear sightline.

“This… could have come at a better time.”

(In fact I’m going to be AFK for 30m-1hr, worse luck. As long as Amaja’s here, let her control Susanna; by default, she’ll just work to her strengths of avoiding combat and providing the most necessary support spells.)

The dog is tackled out of mid air, yelping loudly as it is slammed into the ground under the weight of Albert’s armour. The blue flame was extinguished, and the dog whimpered, though the sound was closer to dragging a small animal over a sharp blade slowly. It gave a sad expression and continued to whine at the group.

Spinning to face the painful growl, she stared momentarily in horror at the dog before her. She took a step back until it lunged in her direction causing her to panic, falling back and landing with a hard thud with her arms over her face. When nothing happened for a few seconds she peered out from under her arms and saw Albert had tackled the dog. She quickly got back to her feet and moved cautiously towards the demon hound and Albert.

The knight suddenly opened his eyes, grabbed his sword and got up. He noticed the zombie and rushed. He swang his holy blade and separated the undead dog’s legs from the rest of it’s body. He quickly jumped backwards and stood on guard.
Sorry for not waking up sooner.

“… well then….” Lily grimaced as she saw the countless distant lights her spell created “At least we know someones killed them half way already…most of our works done for us hm?” her little spirit boosting joke not helping all that much.

But their were more pressing concerns as the first of the horrors charged their way, Lily giving a sigh of relief as Albert brought the undead thing to the ground.

Another Card, another chant, Lily approaching as quickly as she could “Keep it -still-” pressing the holy marker direct on the whimpering hounds forehead, it seeming to burn against the undead flesh

“Return to dust whence you came….be free”

(Ehn might be going outside my set out power scheme a little here, but it seems fitting enough for the style of caster Lily is no? Still not exactly full White-mage Undead bashery going on here.)

As he dives into the dog all he can thing in his mind is “oh god oh god oh god” that is until Makar and Lily make short work of whats left, and gives a sigh of releif
What n the hell was that thing?!
It.. It looked sort of sad.
*shudders* Undead things shouldn’t do that.

Amaja smiled softly to her friend and waved nonchalantly about the experience. She moved closer in, with the dog having its limps lopped off and is then reduced to ash. Upon getting closer, she noticed something amongst the debris and reached into the ash pulling out a parchment that was apparently tucked away under its collar. She looked over at the others momentarily before unraveling it and looking at what it had to say.

Amaja July 27, 2010, 2:44 PM EST.

It seemed almost playful…I’m guessing that note is from the young girl we saw. Only she could send a monstrosity like that, and have it want to play with us.

She moves to look over the ashen remains of the dog, raising a curious brow as Amaja pulls out the note.

Lady Lieselotte July 27, 2010, 2:47 PM EST.

As the creature was hit by Lily’s card, it gave one final whimper as it turned to dust. In the pile of ash lay two things. A collar… And a single sheet of paper, stained slightly red. Amaja picked the parchment up and read a short and very poorly written note, scrawled in blood…

U guys r fun! Dont go anywer! I want 2 play som mor!

He turns his attention to the note Amaja found in the ashes and came closer.

Looking over Amaja’s shoulder to read the note, she reads the notes several times through while contemplating what to do.
Pack your things…I think we should move. I think we should move now.

What should we do now?Maybe that girl know that we are here.

She looked over to Lieselotte and held the note out to her, her hand quivering faintly as she did her best to keep calm. She looked back down to the ashen remains of the dog, uncertain to whether it was out to get them, or just have fun. Clutching her arms around herself once more she shivered lightly before turning to face everyone in the gathering. Curious to what the plan would be.

After reading the note, he held his sword tightly and gritted teeth. He turned back, enraged.

Not another sick-minded!! I already fought a child who likes to murder for “fun” and it was already enough!

The attacked the air a few times and rested the holy blade under his cape. He sighed and turned back to the others.

If we stand here any longer, the worst may happen! We must go right now!!

He ran towards his bag and placed it along his sword. He walked towards Lieselotte.

It was just my mind playing with me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again.

Albert grabs the dogs collar and stares at it before putting it away in his pack. He then walks over and looks at the note
So I’m guessing the girl has a name now?
What kind of girl can summon undead creatures and be so powerful at this young an age?
*shudders again* It just creeps me out when this happens.

“…Assuming she’s even human…though someone really needs to teach her proper grammar.” Her eyes naturally going Lord Makar’s, her voice sounding less then impressed .

“Yes lets charge on forward then, run away with our tails between our legs. This little rhyming demon following us all the way so we have an army of guards in front of us, and an army of undead behind us with us in-between”

As she no doubt got some glares she folded her arms and gave a reassuring smile “Oh don’t worry we still need to run… but only until morning -then- we face her. We can’t just keep cowering at every monster we face. The nights… ‘her’ advantage not ours…lets see if we can stay ahead long enough hm?”

As the party starts to panic, the slow droning sound of over a hundred voices could be heard, filling the air. The slow and lumbering forces had crossed the vast distance surprisingly quick… And furthermore, they had done exactly what the party needed the least right now… They had encircled them…

The firelight flickered weakly, almost as though the very atmosphere choked at it. Everyone could feel the icy chill of something sinister sliding down the back of their necks. Like an ice cube melting frozen water onto them. The creatures moaned an otherworldly sound as they slowly began to advance upon the camp.

The knight turned his attention to Konar. He sighed.
You’re right… I defeated a psycho magician before… I know that the fear will not help.
He turned his gaze to Lily after listening to her first phrase. The nodded after listening to the last phrase.
It’s decided, then. Let’s go. The last thing I want is to meet Mollith still during the night.
After listening to the moans around the campsite, he got his holy sword again.
Another good reason Mollith is worse than that witch from before… she DOES have a zombie army.

Lord Makar July 27, 2010, 3:15 PM EST.

As the chill went through the air and the moans got closer and closer and darkness enveloped them once again Lily muttered “… It seems she’s already taken away our choice….” Lily quite happy in this darkness it couldn’t be seen how pale she was….though right now being able to see what was coming would be all the more reasuring.

“….Makar… whatever magic this is there’s it can -not- hold back the glow of the holy sword of light….if you wouldn’t at all mind bringing that up….”

Her ears twitched at the moaning, careful stepping back as she tried to figure out how near the demons word a short warding prayer being muttered out though the words wasted ones. Speaking to Lord Makar again a little worriedly

“Any time now.. whenever you ready hm…?”

Amaja looked around at the group as their uncertainty continues to overwhelm them. Furrowing her brows she looked towards the glowing sky where the village once was. She saw the billowing shapes of shuffling creatures, her skin crawling as the chill fell over her and the group as they dawned closer upon them. She looked back to the group once more, then turned back towards the oncoming horde and slowly began to walk in their direction. She wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but she had to find out what this girl was after.

Listening to Lily, the brave Lord raised the Sword of Light, which shined brightly. Swinging it foward, the holy blade could make the foes easy to spot. The Zombies very slowly take their places, all of them finding their patch of dirt and standing still, staring at the party. The air was still and heavy. No wind… Only the faint crackling of the burning village could be heard in the distance. A few moments passed, and it seemed like no one would make a move…

Suddenly, the Zombies began to scream an ear shattering scream. The previous silence only serving to make it that much more painful. The once lumbering beasts began to charge at the party, reaching out to grab at anyone who was close enough, trying to bite and claw whoever wasn’t fast enough to slay them.

Making use of his skillful swordplay, Makar were able to slay a zombie in the head, which were reduced to ashes when the holy blade suddenly glowed white. For a brief moment, the knight was surprised for what he just did, but could dodge another zombie’s claws in time and counter-attack, reducing this one to ashes as well. He jumped backwards and covered Lieselotte’s back with his own. He quickly looked to the vampiress and nodded, prepared to counter any zombie’s attacks agains one of them.

Amaja jerked back in her forward momentum when the zombies had taken their positions and began their charge towards the group. Letting out a light yelp she threw hands towards the ground and began a spin on her feet into a crouch; her hands flowing out from her body. As she spun into a squat she stopped her spin and flung her arms up with her fingers out stretched. The ground around her had dissolved as she spun, as she brought her hands up the earth shot up from the ground creating a barrier of spikes impaling any zombies that had been close enough for the initial summoning of earth.

Her back to Makar, she moves in unison with him. Twisting and turning, she allows none to touch her or the Lord, using only her claws. Ducking under the slow swing of one zombie she impales it, using her strength to toss into the shambling horde. Her confidence is high as she works with Makar, her claws and his sword making short work of any and all who come near.

Two More Zombies vanished into dust revealing the hedgehog woman behind them, the stinging sensation of claw marks across her cheek reminding her as well as she was equipped for fight these things…. she was ten years past her prime…and no where as fast as she needed to be. A third tackled her from behind sending her stumbling and coughing, face twisting as it bit into her shoulder, the woman just barely managing to force it back with a shove. One sleeved hand quickly swaying out as a spray of holy salts came with it… sending the moaning creature into a shrieking ball as they burnt through its flesh. The vile stench of it bringing a hand to Lilys mouth as she stumbled back to her feet, a fresh note in her free hand still flinching from the wounds thus far.

“well.. this is a lovely way to start the week…..A child of all things doing this… a child…” As more undead approached the singing words of the girl went through her head. She needed to lure the kid out…. and… the first method that came to mind was sure to make her look the fool… but the hell with it.

“No time for pride my dear..” she quickly muttered to herself as she shifted back from the stretched faces of the growling dead.

She spoke out in Rhythm and song.

“..Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man….Bake me a cake as fast as you can…”

The archer had been standing frozen in fear while the rest of the party attacked. Being awaken from his troubled sleep by the small child who haunted it had been the last thing Paulson wanted right now and it was not doing amazing things for his psyche. He stood in shock and confusion as the zombies attacked and finally, some thing snapped. He felt the blood rushing through his body, it pumped painfully into his brain and he let out angry shout.

He might not be a specialist in close combat but that would not stop him. Using a short dagger he carried with him, he shoved it deep into the zombie’s eye sockets, letting their jelly mixture of brains and visual orbs run onto his hand. He swings his arm back and uses his elbow to break jaws. Screaming as he worked it was apparent, he was not taking this any longer

For every Zombie the group killed, two more seemed to take it’s place. There just seems to be no end to them… Suddenly, something rings through the hoard. Lily starts to sing a children rhyme. The zombies slow their assault slightly, though they do not stop, their attack becomes less coordinated, more hap hazard.

“Mix it and prick it, and mark it with B…” The familiar sing song voice of the small child rang out over the carnage. It was hard to distinguish exactly where it came from though…

“…And put it in the oven for Baby and me!” Lily did her best to sing in unison with the voice, as the undead slowed, her confidence grew some, this was working in one way or the other. As the first song came to its end she muttered to Albert and Konar behind her “… Just keep them off my back….”

She took a breath searching for another little song to sing her voice ringing out a second time. “Old King Cole was a merry old soul~….And a merry old soul was he~”

She took cautious steps forward, doing her best to weave around the undead as her ears searched for the cheerful yet unsettling voice.

The zombies seemed to become confused, some starting to attack each other as well as the party. The danger was far from over, Lily’s song seemed to be doing something certainly.

“He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl, and he called for his fiddlers three~” The voice was closer, but she was moving… Each line of the verse seemed to come from somewhere else…
