After many days at sea, the infinite blue of the surrounding oceans has finally been broken by a sliver of green on the horizon. The adventurers stand on the bow as their boat draws nearer to the shore. Paddy fields surround the village, and thick forests beyond the fields. The village itself is connected to the mainland by a single rope bridge.
The boat pulls into the harbour the village now in full view. A large wooden guard tower stands central in the village, archers on all four sides keeping watch. Large bamboo walls surround the village, leaving only the bridge and the harbour exposed. Most of the village was empty, few could be seen apart from silhouettes seen through the screen doors of the inn. The few who could be seen looked curiously at the ship but did little in reaction to its arrival. Numerous small buildings littered the village, many the homes or workplaces of the locals. Steam rose from behind a larger building, the local bathhouse open to all. Next to the bathhouse a small stand could be seen, headed by a familiar white cat in a green striped sweater.
Guards watched the ship from the edge of the docks carefully, unsure of what actions to take. No other ships apart from their own seemed to be in the harbour, and an air of unrest could be felt. Whatever troubles may have plagued the land were not immediately apparant, it would take some work to find the source of the problems.
The group gathered their belongings and left the ship, glad to feel their paws on the sturdy wooden docks. As they gathered the harbor master approached, bowing deep to the adventurers.
Welcome to Siilitie.

The archer keeps his bags close as he sniffs the air. I don’t see anything wrong here. He whispers to Dave. Seems like a normal village to me. I wonder what could be wrong…

Amaja hearing the ship make it to port, she collected her belongs into a satchel and grabbed some spare rations from their trip before slinging the satchel over her head onto her shoulder before patting at the bottom of her long shirt to adjust how it lay. She looked around the barracks of the ship once more, thankful they’d made it across the sea safely and smiled faintly before turning and making her way up onto the dock, with a hop in her step she bounded lightly up behind the rest of the group ready to follow them wherever their journey will take them.
(Fuck you and your run on sentences >:I I’ll try and not do them as often later, but I have no idea how to adjust them at the moment)

The paladin is roused from sleep, if you can call it that with all that’s been happening. He awakens very cranky, and, still a bit groggy, gets out of bed, preparing to leave the ship.
“Ugh, I have a bad feeling about this.”
He stumbles around a bit on the way to the door.

Whispers back to Paulson
I don’t think it’s a normal place, they wouldn’t send us if it was.

Konar returns to his cabin to take his stuff and his sword that he used to defeat many foes in his travels
Well,i think is time to start a another journey for me.
Konar leaves the ship

We finally arrived… the trip seemed really short…
Time to get to work.
He unloads the ship’s cargo, as well as the belongings of the adventurers. He places everything neatly on the docks, so that everyone can carry their belongings from this point on.
Well… here we are. I’m going to be free until you’re ready to sail back. I’m interested to see what adventurers like you do, so I’m going to follow you around. Hope that doesn’t bother you.

Paulson shrugs and decides to be the first one to speak up to the Harbor Master. Hi. Uh, we’re here to help you with…what ever problem you’re having I guess.

(I’ll be afk for D&D for a while, so autoplay me. I will just follow the group. That’s all.)

The knight analised carefully his surroundings before turning his atention to the guards in the docks.
I hope nothing goes wrong…
He stepped out of the boat and stood in front of the guards. The Lord saluted, with a serious expression in his face.

The hedgehog raises his brow at Paulson taking a moment to think.
Problem…hmm yes, I understand you have sailed from Caignwell have you not? If that is the case, then you must be referring to the cease of trade and talk between our lands. Please, walk with me, I shall explain as we tour the village.
He gestures for them to follow as he slowly walks off the dock and into the village.

The archer smiles to himself on what he sees is a job well done and happily follows the Harbor Master.

Delilah has been out on the deck of the ship all day, and by the time they set into port she’s feeling much better than she had earlier, her nausea having subsided. Returning to her cabin, she rouses Albert and gets the pair’s things together, putting on her bag and standing on her tip-toes to give Albert a kiss before the pair emerge onto deck. By the time she has re-emerged, Paulson appears to have asked the harbor master something and she catches the tail end of things. She moves quickly to fall in behind the archer, Albert following, her feet clicking against the plank as they descend to the shore.
The dancer looks around at the houses happily, her skirts swishing as she walks, smiling and waving to the locals happily as the group from Caignwell passes by. Falling a bit behind the archer, she moves to catch up quickly, and asks the harbor master.
What happened exactly?

His serious face relaxed a little when he listened to the Harbour Master. Quite worried, Makar decided to follow the Harbour Master as well, quiet.

As you know, our land has traded with yours for many decades. A strong connection we had, one that made both sides profit.
He watches the group follow closely behind as they pass the guards of the docks.
This village mere months ago was one of many stops for the ships between Caignwell and Siilitie. We flourished for a time, but it all came to an sudden end. It started with the arrival of a royal messenger. He delivered to me the same letter that all others who oversee harbours like this one. It simply ordered the stop of trade. No reason, nor explanation.
He casts a glance at the guard tower above, the watchful archers above surveying the village.
Days later we were told not to let anymore ships dock. Along with that order came an increase in the guards. None were meant to enter Siilitie. You fine people have only been granted entrance due to the tales of legend about you. To deny you entrance would cause quite a stir amongst many.
Comment ID #64182
Paulson stopped in his tracks and have the harbour Master a sideways glance. So wait, you don’t even know what’s happening around here?
Comment ID #64187
Makar guided a hand to his chin, now thoughtful. After a few seconds, he looked at the guard tower, then back to the Habour Master.
You don’t even know from which kingdom that royal messenger came from?
Comment ID #64190
Delilah clears her throat.
I think he meant THEIR royal messenger. Why would they listen to anyone else’s?
She tilts her head at the harbor master, seeming thoughtful.
So we only are allowed to land here because it would cause trouble if we weren’t? I’m glad its just that…
She seems to brighten up considerably, almost skipping along happily now.
Well, its good to hear that, at least! So you’re worried that without trade with us, you won’t be able to support yourselves? What’s your king like? Has anything strange happened lately other than this?
Comment ID #64191
I can assure you, the messenger was of Siilitie, both he and the message had the mark of our emperor.
He glances nervously around him, watching for any prying eyes or ears, he speaks in a low voice.
Few actually do. The issues at hand seem not to be with the people, but somewhere within the empire. I like others protested the stop, but the extra guards make it difficult for much to be done. Few dare to leave the village, in fear of gaining unwanted attention. There have been rumours circulating, speculation, but nothing we know for sure. The only information we have been given is to ensure our nation remains strong and steadfast against all obstacles. What these obstacles are, we do not know. The guards are watching, we’d best end our “tour” now.
He comes to a stop between the inn and the bathhouse, speaking loud enough for all to hear.
And hear is where you shall be staying. We have prepared rooms enough for you all, and food and drink is available should you feel the urge. The bathhouse is also here for your use, I understand some of you may wish to clean yourselves after a trip on the open sea. If you have anymore questions, you may find me in my office, by the edge of the docks. And please, come nightfall do try to stay indoors. There is a curfew in effect.
He smiles and bows once more before leaving the group to return to his office.

Dave smiles and gives a sigh of relief
It’s a good thing there are bath houses, my stench was becoming unbearable even to me.
Comment ID #64200
Delilah looks less happy at the pronouncement of martial law and extra guards, looking at them, her ears flickering a little as she bites her lower lip thoughtfully.
I see… well…
When the harbor master says it is the end of their “tour”, however, she stops talking and looks up at the inn.
Interesting… yes, it would be nice to take a bath. Your office, you said?
She smiles at the harbor master.
I’m sure some of us will be by later to speak with you. But for now, yes, I think I would like to take a bath and get my fur straightened out.
The dancer curtsies to the harbor master, not really knowing whatever local ettiquette there is but hoping it comes off as respectful before grabbing Albert’s hand and tugging him along towards the bathhouse.
You can use a bath too honey; the inn can wait. And you can help me get the kinks you put in my fur back out of it!
She giggles happily as she half-drags along the hapless knight along behind her.

Handing a sweater to a local, he smiles at the group from his stand next to the bathhouse.
I hope you and your partner do not plan to wash together! That building is not mixed gender, trying to do so otherwise would result in a nasty slap!
He chuckles to himself as he rubs his cheek.

Paulson put his hand to his chin and thought for a moment. Hmm, this is really weird. I think I’m gonna set my stuff down inside and then head over to the Harbor Master’s office, who wants to join me?
Comment ID #64209
Delilah stops, blushing a bit. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t think about… that.” She looks around a bit, then sighs. “I guess I’ll have to comb my fur myself…” The dancer says mournfully. “But don’t think that gets you out of taking a bath!” She pushes Albert towards the men’s side of the baths, then goes over to the women’s bath, not really sure where to put her things while she bathes and asking some locals in that side what the proper protocol was for such things.
Comment ID #64211
Dave rubs the back of his head.Well I was planning on taking a bath but your suggestion sounds more exciting so I will accompany you my friend.

Konar enters the inn and leave his stuff in his room and sits on the bed and thinks a bit
Hm,something is not right here, sounds like a secret organization is trying to take over the things here, but is to soon to run in conclusions.
I think i’ll go take a bath.
Get up from bed, leaves his room and head to the men’s side of the bathhouse

Amaja looked over to Paulson and raised her hand with a determined look on her face. She stepped past the group into the inn section of the building and made her way to her quarters, taking the satchel off of her shoulder to place on the bed. She quickly moved back down the stairwell with her hands raised slightly to keep herself balanced. Returning to the group she stopped by Paulsons side waiting for others to decide whether they’d join them to the Harbor Master’s office or take a bath.
Comment ID #64215
Paulson claps Dave on the back. There will be plenty of time later for the bath! We should use the daylight to ask questions then we can come back and see if any of the ladies would enjoy our company. He winks at his friend, pulls one arm around Amaja and then looks up to the rest of the party, Anyone else care to join us?
Comment ID #64217
Makar was now intrigued by the situation. He stood in the same place as the Habour Master left. After some time reflecting about what he said, the knight decided to enter the bathhouse
… Something uncommom is happening at the empire. The people here don’t even know what they’re fighting. I’m going to the office as soon as possible.
He stared at Paulson and frowned. I guess it’s not even necessary to ask.
Looking at the Sweater Salesman, he sighed. That was quite expected, right?
He walked towards the men’s side of the baths.
Comment ID #64218
She looks around them all, her small black silk bag slung over her shoulder.
I think I will join Delilah, I’d prefer to get the salty smell of the sea out of my fur. Makar if you finishing washing first, could you please find our rooms for when I finish?
She pecks his cheek before joining Delilah in the women’s bathhouse.
Comment ID #64220
Amaja getting pulled into Paulson when he wrapped his arm around her. Her cheeks flushed a light pink before taking his arm in her hand, slowly unwrapping it from her waist while taking a side step away from him and out of his reach. She smiled cutely setting her hands behind her back looking around at the others, now hoping more will join them to keep Paulson’s attention off her.
Comment ID #64222
Paulson simply laughs at Amaja’s reaction while he smiles. Well I guess I’ll go set my stuff down and we’ll be off! He rushes up stair and to his room where he lays his bag on the bed and hurries back down to the front of the inn.
If everyone’s ready, let’s go!
Comment ID #64223
As paulson is walking he vaguely is aware of something and turns around sharply. Seeing nothing he turns back around and notices McCardell in front of him.
I hear you are heading to the harbor master’s office. I believe it would be prudent to follow for more information to our quest.
(Commie, we miss you in skype!!!)

Hannibal’s eyebrows slowly climb as he hears the Harbor Master’s tale.
This sounds interesting. I’ll go with these guys into the office.
Comment ID #64226
Delilah seems to have figured out how things go, having disrobed, her clothes neatly folded with her bag set atop her things, her tortoiseshell comb and fine brush taken out and set aside so she can groom herself. She smiles at the noble vampire as her friend enters the bath, waving to her.
I was worried everyone else decided to go off to see the harbor master with the smell of that ship still clinging to them.
The dancer wrinkles her nose a little.
Especially the guys. Much as I like how Albert smells sometimes, when he lets it and the salt sit in his fur…
She shakes her head as she slides into the bath, shuddering slightly as the water flows up around her fur, slowly running her fingers through her fur, working the water into her pelt.
It feels so nice not having to use salt water…
Delilah looks up out of the bath at the vampire, smiling.
So how have you and Lord Makar been? I hope you haven’t been too rough with him.
She winks broadly.
Comment ID #64227
She nervously looks at Delilah, picking up a towel she wraps it around her figure after having disrobed. She walks around the bath to the opposite side of Delilah and lowers herself into the steamy waters.
We’ve been fine Delilah. He still laments the passing of Sunday at times, but I do what I can to try and keep his mind off it.
She closes her eyes and enjoys the stillness of the water.
It does feel nice to bathe in fresh water…
Comment ID #64228
Makar blushed slightly and nodded, entering the men’s bathhouse.
The knight didn’t needed too much time to get clean. He was actually glad for cleaning himself. Feeling a little lighter, the makar headed to the inn and found his room, leaving his bag at one of the room’s corner. After finding Lieselotte’s room, he rushed back to where Paulson and the other were at.
I will go to the office as soon as possible.
He stood close to the entrace of the women’s bathhouse, waiting for Lieselotte to leave and tell her where was her room.
I feel like an idiot standing here…
The knight took a few steps away and kept waiting.
Should I have enjoyed the bath a little longer? The water was really good…
Comment ID #64229
Paulson nods to Makar before turning rag-tag group and smiles. Alright then if you guys are all ready let’s go! He starts heading back towards the dock with a smile on his face.

Amaja drops her hands from behind her back and shuffles after Paulson, as she catches up to him she attempts to keep stride with him. All the way she looked around their surroundings to take in the atmosphere.
Comment ID #64232
Delilah seems to be less concerned about this around the womenfolk, smiling at her fellow feline as the vampire wraps the towel around herself and walking over to the bath.
Doesn’t it?
She soaks there for several minutes, but after a good soak, gets some of the scented soap, slowly rubbing it into her fur, getting a good lather up on herself, though she hasn’t bathed by herself in quite a while now, so it feels a bit weird to her.
Ah… I miss having Albert help me. He’s getting so much better at helping me get the knots out of my fur… I really like it, but sometimes, it is so much work to keep it nice. You’re so lucky, your fur always looks so good…
The dancer frowns a little.
I miss Sunday as well… Albert was so excited to come on this journey, but I’m a little worried myself that we’re going to end up in danger again. But this all looks like its some sort of misunderstanding… I think we will be able to get a peaceful resolution! No fighting at all…
The ragamuffin mix drops lower into the water, rubbing her hands across herself, slowly kneading her fur, using the slick soap and water to smooth it, get it back into orderly curls. She then looks over at the vampire a bit cautiously.
Lieselotte? Would you mind helping me with my back? Albert always does it for me, and its SO much easier…
Comment ID #64234
En route to the office, Hannibal decides to get a favorite from when he was here a decade ago.
Barkeep! Three saki jugs, on the double!
Hannibal literally throws money at the bartender as he retrieves his liquor. He then ties them off of his armor and catches up with the group.
Comment ID #64235
She stares at Delilah with a dumbfounded look on her face.
No Delilah, I’m sure you can wash your own back. You lasted without Albert for years before, you can last a night without him.
She moves away to the far corner of the water, hiding herself under the water from Delilah. The room is filled with a long awkward silence.
