I can never forget what makes me whole
What fills the emptiness within my soul…

LOL Family Guy and Not Another Teen Movie.

It’s a parody of American Beauty, which is actually a really good movie.

When the wind blows high and the storms rule the sky,
Where will you be standing then?
Will you take up arms futilely?
Join the oppressor just so you can win?
Or will you sit with me up here and watch the world go by?

If we’re talking poetry, my favorite lines are the sinister and ominous ones:

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

And my perennial favorite:

There is shadow under this red rock,
Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Just stuff you’ve made up.

You have nothing to fear in your shadow,
You have nothing to fear in the dark,
What should you fear? That I know.
Fear where evil has left its mark.

All you must fear is that corner of your soul,
So tainted, so corrupt,
That eats away at your being,
It’s a parasite waiting to erupt!

When in doubt, bash it with a crowbar.

I made it up, and it’s not poetic at all, but it’s okay because it’s true for most things in life. The crowbar can be metaphorical or literal.

Silently I have watched the eons pass,
My stony gaze unflinching,
I’ve seen years come and go like falling leaves,
And cities turned to ash.

I am a voiceless Sentinel,
All who come to me, I shall save.
But I am long forgotten,
Sadly I see you to your grave.

Commissioned by God to be a Guardian,
Now merely a fallen stone.
I wish I could but speak my mind,
Yet I am friendless and alone.

-The Lament of Silent Gaze, the Musing Sentinel

I enter your house,
quiet as a mouse,
steal all your things,
your clothes,
your rings,

to be sold,
for gold,
to buy your dwelling,
which you’d be selling,
cause you lost your things,
your clothes,
your rings,

I have no idea what my theme was here…
I want add more but I don’t know what to use…

This was supposed to be for any bit of inspiration that you came up with, not just poetry (most of it mine and bad). But whatever…

When a man stands in darkness
It’s so easy to see the light.
But when the sun does rule the sky,
the stars are hid from sight.
And though the sun has left me,
I see the stars in the sky;
They remind me now of what I’ve lost,
Each one a reason why.

Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight
You got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Awesome song by the Barenaked Ladies.
