@ Klaus - I can agree with that. I always kinda thought of faith as the polar opposite of reason, so I can’t get behind it completely. But still, it does work for a lot of people. I myself try to be hopeful, even if it defies probability. Taking risks is the fruit of life after all.

Yes, I haven’t yet established a common ground to base my decisions about taking risks yet. It’s one of the factors contributing to me remaining single. I should probably work on that.

It warned that when frying a turkey for thanksgiving you need to be carful because it could cause burns, “facepalm”. Penuts are a legume, not a nut. Having penuts in there does not nessesarily mean that there are nuts.

They put it on all sorts of nuts, though.

If you are allergic to peanuts and you buy a bag of peanuts and you eat one and you die from it, you didn’t really deserve to live to begin with. Typical litigious American bullshit.

You’d better change that to, “If you are allergic to peanuts and you know that you are,” because there’s always people who don’t know they’re allergic until they have a reaction.

We are slowly getting better. Life expectancy is up, fewer people die in war now per year than in previous centuries, disease is less prevalent, and we may soon have the technology to colonize different planets so we don’t have to deal with each other.

Find another race with the sophistication to wage war, than I think one can make a true comparision as to whether that knowledge and sophistication is a gift or a curse.
