In this topic I would like other readers to post which couples they think are most likely to happen and please explain why you think so and please give us evidence from the comic.

It is one of the authors favorite pairings and there has been a longstanding mutual crushing with each other.

As stated Paulo fell in love with Lucy during 5th grade (I think) where Lucy also fell in crush with Paulo around the same time. Paulo saved Lucy when she almost drowned.
He once again was the one when Lucy confessed to Mike and when she was throwing herself at him he refused because he says and I quote “Whether you like it or not other people love you, Lucy. Like damn hard.” (another shoulder pg. 9)
When Mike fell off the bridge Paulo once again comforted Lucy Even when they all fell off the cliff. (search and rescue pg. 15-18)

I suspect the final pairings will be Mike x Lucy and Paulo x Daisy. Mike x Lucy is obvious; it has been the central point of the comic since forever. Paulo x Daisy has been hinted at continually, from the very beginning; Paulo and Daisy pairing up for the parenting and being uber cute, Paulo being better behaved around Daisy, the bizzare conversation that Paulo had with David on vacation, his reaction to Daisy and Abbey going out… however, on her side the affection seems much more platonic, though she does defend him from his other friends who seem to think he’s much more of a horndog than he really is. She sees him as what he truly is more than anyone else in the cast.

Since the forums started there has been endless speculation about who will end up with who.
Example: I tend to follow the crowd that favors Mike ending up with Sandy, that has a very high potential of triggering an argument with those who favor the pairing of Mike and Lucy.
Flood gates=potential pairings, flooding=every argument favoring any number of those pairings.

Thanks again (nameless) i’m a bit new to this stuff. Personally I perfer Paulo X Lucy as my previous comment stated.

But ummm…actually on topic I think that Daisy and Abbey are the only solid couple at the current point in time (I point to the general stability of the relationship and lack of drama/angst). Just about everything else is up in the air, Lucy is a mess with a serious attachment disorder, Paulo might have something looking promising but who knows (he recently managed to alienate Tess and Lucy), Sandy and Mike never see each other ever, Tess won’t commit to anything, David…yeah.

Same here your pretty helpful and nice. I got to ask you though (nameless) why did you chose to lack a name?

I agree with you on the Daisy X Abby relationship.

Well hopefully after the talk with Paulo Lucy got over that a little bit at least.

I still dont get the Tess commitment thing… heh this comic has way to many romances. *sigh*

There’s actually an, albeit dated, thread for how people came up with names. I’m somewhat paranoid that someone I know will discover I read webcomics such as BCB so I choose something other than my usual nickname. I wasn’t able to thing of something original so I wrote (nameless) as a place holder so…yeah.

And fate seems to conspire to keep Sandy from ever visiting Mike, if Taeshi decided to slam the door on the next visit I would not be suprised at all.

Well for some weird reason Sue seems to be the only one who spends any extended time with him.

yeah my argument for the pairing is a bit weak i realize that but im trying to get the back on topic.

Okay fine, but i admit to liking the following.

MikexSandyxLucy (I can’t say that i don’t like the interactions between mike and Lucy, but i really like Sandy, that and she reminds me of the relationship i have with my girlfriend (being at seperate colleges and all.))

PauloxJasminexTess (I LOVED the chapters between Paulo and Tess, but i can’t deny that Jasmine has become an interesting character. Not much to decide fully though, we need to wait and see.)

AbbeyxDaisy (both ignored by the one they initially loved, then they come together. Classic.)

McCainxSue (Sue is probably my fave character, and i love how Taeshi drops random rumor starting hints about her and out favorite wet-blanket.)

But as i said, i will be happy with whatever outcome is decided, because this comic is just that good.

MikeXSandy shipping seems to mostly depend on whether of not the person has had a bad or good experience with long distance realationships,or if it reminds them of themxtheir bf or gf

true… but really, i don’t see how anyone could hate sandy, especially after the recent chapter with her. She’s so unbelievably cute, and despite the fact that she and mike are far away they are both doing their best to keep their relationship strong. It’s heart-warming.
