Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Alright. For this one, I’m just gonna draw the cafe area, I’ll pin up a few paintings. Tile floor, red walls, and a portion of the counter will be visible, but I’m gonna leave the stage out. Do you mind if I throw a shop window into the front wall? The picture’s in the cafe, looking out toward the street, which is why I’m ignoring the stage (assuming it’s against the back wall, ‘cause that’d make the most sense).

Yeah, It’s against the back wall and actually visible from the window. It’d make sense if both Larken and Sammy were working the counter and Cassie was waiting/busing tables. Thanks again in advance~! You’re awesome for doing this~!

Sorry, with as much of the counter as I have visible, I -might- be able to fit a dishcloth, and if I put in any more than the main six (at least the way I’ve laid it out) it would be too crowded. Don’t worry though, ‘cause I sincerely doubt that this is the only picture I draw of the Coffee Juice. ^^ I’ll put your characters in after Toast’s request, so I’ll get to them in a day or two (depends on my workload at school XP).

Kk. With finals and vacation, I won’t be updating for at least two weeks.

Mrmph…. I drew stuff for James but I lack the essential scanner and thus cannot add drawings unless I find one on campus or something..

so it starts in the coffee shop, where the neglected club is relocated to. Sounds good to me *thumbs up*

So how are we actually going to write/draw this?

I dunno. Maybe the more * juvenile* of the fan characters get distracted by the arcade.

I’ll take a shot at writing if anyone wants. I think Ved is the best of us for drawing regular pages, while Lisa ‘s gorgeous artwork would be perfect for chapter covers, really important panels, that sort of stuff.

Heh, well Lisa’s gotta agree to that.
I am good with the idea of writers.
I think I’ll have the first (ad) comic up late tomarrow or the next day.
After that, we can expand with more writers and artists.
Kou looks like he can draw comics as often as I can and Liam colors his work quite well.
Plus, I know we have more writers, so you guys can discuss chapters. (the more people the better, but try not to make the chapters too long)

Now of course there are other people out there, so pick a spot and join.
Writers can work up a script and then email them to the artists. (first chapter: revive and recruit)
Though for the sake of the topic, I need a partner(s) to draw every other chapter. (with my own comic to keep, this will end up being time consuming)
Remember, we are the fans and we will create the city Taeshi hasn’t had the time to finalize.

I can write as well, so I could probably be a co-author with Pronkat? Anyways, If I were to draw, it’d be filler only. LOL. Maybe some cute chibi 4panel. Like this cute thing.

Here’s a thing I haven’t seen discussed too much here….

how would these characters interact with each other? Take one persons character, and stick it with another, and ask yourself that. How about taking it to the natural extreme, and putting all these Fan-characters in the same classroom with each other; avoiding getting the ‘main cast’ involved at all…. though a few characters might need to rewind a few years for it to work.

Romances? Distant relatives? New best friends? Plenty of options no? Don’t be afraid of making the characters hate each other either. We are drama, angst filled creatures, and can turn on each other for the silliest of reasons…..

If…memory serves… a friend of mine has a Randomization-Program where you can enter in a list of names, along with events, and themes that might serve such an idea well. I could see about getting a copy, and punching in the right info for it.

Ooh~! That’d help a bit~! Though I have an idea who my characters would like/dislike, I have no idea how the other characters would interact.

like you put Luna’s name into it, and you put another random character in and it generates a scenario? it would be a bit vague though…

Okay, found it. Not quite as user friendly, or specific as I hoped but I should be able to manage it. The Scenario IS very vague too.. I’m sure I’ve seen better generators, but it’ll do for now. The Vagueness gives people more creative freedom.

I currently have the following put into the program:

Themes:
Love, Perversion, Comedy, Fun, Hate, Adventure, Mundane, Drama,
Tragedy

Are there any characters, events, or themes people would like me to add before I get it to spit out some options for people to try?

I loved the fact that three events were trapped together, truth or dare, and exploring a old masion but then I see that one of the themes is perversion.

As I said the generator wasn’t.. quite.. as good as I had remembered. In fact the things damn primitive, but it works…

But yeah I had to create the BCB event scenario for it from scratch as a result, which is why I asked for more events/Themes. Haha.. and yes it was a coincidence Jacob, when I first thought of those three events they had nothing to do with Perversion.

Just some notes if you plan to use it:
-Make sure Spaces are turned ON. Much easier to read.
-Top button will generate a dozen or so combination’s….I’d limit myself to the few at the top for the sake of fairness… but ehn.
-It generates three characters per set. The third character being ‘optional’
-It’s possible to get the multiples of the same character… so.. just ignore the doubles….
-You may edit the generation by opening the BCB notepad. Remember that any new characters must be put in three times, due to the three lists
-Characters may need to have their ages adjusted, or made to already know each other for some of these situations to work
