I have actually been programming a Dateing sim style game engine for another project I am working on. It is not fully competed yet, but I could probably whip up a demo to show some of the simple things it can do in about a week or two. Would you guys want to see that?

Ok, will do. I already have the sound engine done and I am almost finished with e graphics engine. I just need to finsh that up and then borrow/steal some some of the characture artwork from the comics to display. I suppose I should also create a short storyline as well.

So I noticed that Taeshi implied she’d like a game made but she doesn’t have the time, and that fans in general want a game.

Henceforth, as I said in the advertising thread, I will gladly use my time and game development experience to make one for you guys on the condition that SuitCase and Tae don’t mind, and you guys actually want it. I have free time and I’m bored anyway, so…

But yeah, just thought I’d throw that out there.

Okay, I actually have an idea for this now that would have the same art-style but Taeshi would have to do no work whatsoever.

So we take all the people capable of making games and we have a competition. You use frames directly cut from the comic or something and maybe team up with a writer, and the winner gets their game posted on Newgrounds or something like that.

Stock art?

The stock art’s good, but only if you have it as a sprite game where you just get an image of the person’s face and speech next to it. When you want different poses, expressions, etc… then it gets slightly more difficult.

Pulling images from comics could work, but you’d have to account for such things as quality of the image, difference in drawing style, etc. etc.

Better yet, make a movie about it, it has to be better than paranormal activity 2

Mmm… but would a movie really work? All we could really do there without interfering with the comic is just animate everything that’s been in the comic.

Besides, a game would be much more fun :3
