I was one of the most accomplished singers in high school. My incredibly sexy voice almost landed me a threesome a couple years ago.

I wish I had an incredibly sexy threesome voice. Now I’m just sad. =’[

Buck up, son, I’m still a threesome virgin. xD And you can play guitar. That’s pretty slick, man. I want to learn so bad, but my fingers just can’t work the frets.

I can play guitar, just not “de-ne-li-de-ne-li- WYAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!”*
*A guitar sounds nothing like this… Unless your high.

*Your should be you’re.
Darn grammar mistakes. ¬_¬
Comment ID #7915
I respect attention to grammar. And three years’ experience is still three years more experience than I have. I’m just not dedicated enough to teach myself, and now that I’m twenty-four I feel that I’m too old to learn. I mean, maybe not, but it still feels that way.

Percussionist here baby!
Yer, the whole drumset, cymbals, timpani, snare, bass, hard-hat, and a few others whose names currently escape me.
Also capable of playing the xylophone.
Might also learn the piano too. If I can, of course. XD

I’ve a somewhat average - mediocre baritone singing voice. I can play some basic Bass, and I used to play a little Piano. I’ve also messed around a bit with Drums but can’t actually play anything…
It’s the ONLY thing that I hate about having ADD… I’m just generally too unfocused to practice frequently enough to actually get good at anything. I’m only average with my voice (despite being told I have great potential) because I sing ALL the time. But I’ve never actually had any training, and again, I’m too scatterbrained to remember to do vocal exercises.
It sucks because, next to film, music is my second favorite thing in the world ever.

@ Maverick
Make a schedule. Trust me, I have ADHD, and without a schedule, I wouldn’t get ANYTHING done. I get too distracted otherwise.
And some forceful parents.
They’re annoying as crap, but they’ll make sure you stick to it. |D

@Cyo
I’ve long since moved out unfortunately. But yeah, I really should try and get some sort of schedule… I don’t know… I love singing, but people repeatedly tell me that unless I know music theory, or can play an instrument properly, no one’s really going to want me in their band ^^;

Then sing. Do not let others tell you what is right and what is wrong! They cannot decide what you should do. Only you can make that decision.
And besides, who knows? Life is strange, and you may get lucky.
Comment ID #7924
True enough. You never know where life will take you ^^;
How long have you been playing Drums?
Comment ID #7932
Um, well, I started playing back in 6th grade. Stuck with it for about three years, till a series of events happened that pretty much changed my life. I would have continued playing if I had the room to store a drumset. Sadly, I do not.
However, I would love to get back into playing it, even if it is simply for the sake of playing. I wound up getting first in a contest, so I would say that my drumming skills are pretty good. ![]()

Am i the only one here that got the Spongebob reference?
I’ve been playing violin since fourth grade. Don’t ask me to count how many years ago that is. Ending up getting first chair in my college orchestra… somehow. O_o I still don’t know why, i kinda suck.

I played Trumpet for about three years starting in sixth grade, but after a while I realized I hated playing that thing. Love the sounds it makes, but hate actually playing it. The band directors were also complete a-holes (save for two) so I quit the school band this year at second semester and I am so glad I did.
Aside from that I also enjoy smacking my hands on hard surfaces and snapping. I also have a love of piano and violin, so I really want to learn to play those as well. Gaaah piano why do you sound so beautiful!?

I can sing, but I can’t really do anything poppy-ish. I can also scream and do grunge shit. I’m also a percussionist, but I’m not too good at the set because I haven’t had much time to practice on it. I can do some simple rhythms but that’s it.
I am however awesome at the Marching Bass, and I can play the bells/xylophone. And I can play pretty much any hand percussion instrument in existence. I usually stick to the djembe though.
I can also play the blues harmonica. I can also beatbox, and then I can do both at once.
I’m trying to learn how to play the guitar right now though.

8 years trumpet and 7 years singing bass. So yea got a lot of experience in the musical world. Funny thing is that I wanted to play trombone first and not the trumpet, love playing that instrument by the way. I had to practice a lot to get to where I got in high school, first chair and the solos meant for baritone/bass, which isn’t a whole lot that’s for sure. But right now I just randomly sing but have not touched a trumpet due to living in an apartment and not having time for it. Might start it up again when I go to college.

I played the violin for most of elementary school. I wanted to play it in the band when I got to middle school, but they didn’t have a string section. So, I went out for percussion and fell in love with the mallet boards. I had to play the snare, bass drum, etc on occasion. And when I got to high school, I joined the pit in my marching band. Two years in a row, we went to BOA and played for the Georgia Dome. Shot down by many, many other much larger and richer bands, but it was still a fun experience. This recent year though, we didn’t have enough percusionists to go around, so we didn’t get to have a pit. Instead, I marched on first bass. We also didn’t go to BOA, one because we lacked funding and talent (most of it graduated) and two, our new director was certainly not so ambitious. I’d like to pick back up on the violin, but I don’t have the time to get reaquainted.

Oh, and because i’m a total whore about things like this, i show off via a video i whipped together of the source material for the piece I play. (A show that MAYBE a few of you would know. But probably not.) No webcam for you since i don’t have one, and my last one sucked major donkey hair. Plus the audio quality is iffy since i only recorded it via a mic. Has a few flub-ups, but as the title for the vid says, I WAS BORED.

I learned a few more songs today!
Well, the main parts at least, nothing too big really and it was just all Pink Floyd.
Wow, I really need to go to lessons again. T-T

Here’s a video from my drum line. We sucked this year because there were only three seniors so we rush like hell. That and the quality sucks and people wont stop screaming, but whatever. I’m the dude withe nasty ponytail and blue head band. I’ve had my hair cut since then.

I’m, uh, a pianist. Not a very good one, mind.
I’m also learning the bass guitar and the flute. I doubt I would have attempted to learn a single instrument if it wasn’t for my father, though - he can play the flute, piano, guitar and bass guitar. And he sings.
It’s a blessing, really. ^_^

I sing, play piano and guitar. Though… I’ve fallen out of guitar lately. This is me singing. It’s on the GLEE audition website, so if you like it, feel free to give me some stars.

Ive played with the Piano for almost my whole life… Didn’t learn it till I was 13-15 though. Spent about five years in it. Maybe more or less. I forget… Before I stopped going and just played whatever I felt like. I don’t know how to read sheet music right off the back. But I think I still know where C is and what the various doohickeys found on the sheet paper mean. Though I tend to play by ear more than read sheet.

Above link has a video of me playing around for about ten minutes on the piano. Some of the songs are made up by me. By various artists. (mostly Linkin Park xD) and a few mess around’s/made up on the spot stuff. The description has a quick search for all of these
xD peace xD

I’m not very good with instruments, but I’m a somewhat decent singer in the tenor range. Otherwise, I dabbled a TINY TINY BIT in piano. Like, only basic melodies, though. I like to finger drum, though, and I will eventually create a masterpiece that is the electric xylophone. ![]()

Was in chorus originally and picked for solos, played guitar for about 2 years before an injury to my left hand. Can still kickass via singing though, however it’s all for fun and friends nowadays.

I’ve been playing guitar for like, 3 years, now…
And I used to have a band…Well, I got kicked out.

I am a violinist.
I’ve played for about 5 years and going in for another year.
Been playing since the 6th grade (had to choose an instrument and didn’t want to be in band).
So from choosing something I had no interest in, the violin has been a nice skill to have.

Saxophonist.
Alto Sax to be exact. Been playing for about 8 years now? Mostly classical but I’ve dabbed at jazzy stuff too. Apparently I’m good though personally I hold a deep belief in myself being average so I don’t know really. I’ve played in various kinds of bands/orchestras a lot so I’m not really good at playing solo. Not that I actively perform or anything. I rarely even practice nowadays since I lack any good sheet music to play.

Alright, does anybody out there play a musical instrument or sing or anything. Before any of you ask, mayonnaise is not an instrument.
So I’ll start us off. I’ve been playing guitar for about 3 years now, I’m better than before and my friends say I’m good, but I’m not so sure. I’ll just wait until I can play a couple of songs and then astound people with my super rawk! I’ve also wanted to get into drums, but I have absolutely no money of my own so I have to ask my parents, maybe around my birthday or Christmas or something. I also like to sing sometimes, I’m not exactly Freddy Mercury though xD.
So people, tell us about your musical exploits or future ones, do you play or want to play something, tell us, or you’ll make David cry.
