So list the websites that you want to go on during your “holy crap I’m bored… Oh look! A computer!” time but you can’t because your school is an anal dickwad and blocks them.

Dang i wish it wasn’t blocked in our school. It wasn’t for a while, but then someone had to show a freakin teacher what site we were on. Now they patrol the area during school hours lookin at all the screens. >:l

when i went to highschool they were to cheap and stupid to block any sites, of course back then it was dialup so it was a slow computer lab

I’m in college, so instead of trying to block sites, they have monitoring programs, and if you go on something you shouldn’t you get fined.

Hee. I don’t think I’ve ever had any interest in banned webpages. ^_^

My college doesn’t have any content filters. I’ve frequently perused /b/ on the library computers in between classes.

Handy tip that’s worked in my current high school and 4 middle schools. It’s really really useless as it only lets you view the page, but if you past a url into Google translate and translate the page from English into English, it should get past an average block.

well, it was only google.ca and google.com… every other instance of google still worked.

also, i found this one webpage, it was blocked for (and i shit you not) black. i had been to the web page prior at my house and there was nothing wrong at the site… nothing. (i forget what it was, but eventually came across more and more blocks like this so, irrelevance)

My school blocks everything under the sun. Not even kidding. They thought of banning Google and Bing on some computers, I think, but they just took off Google Images instead.

Luckily, no one on my school’s staff knows how to or cares to block any website, they don’t even bother updating the anti virus.

I’ve got too much work to go perusing the web at the academy, even if I could escape the notice of my eagle-eyed sensei.

When I was in junior high school I had a friend who was a nothing short of a computer genius he got around all the schools blockers he was called down to the office and showed the schools techs how to make there security better. He could code better then the teacher and passed the advanced computer class with ease. The school blocked any gaming sites and cult sites but I could still get furry porn.

Pretty much every download service. That’s Rapidshare, Megaupload, whatever.

I think ebuddy was blocked too, and msn messenger. They also figured a way to block every online game in existence (They probably share the same port, that would make it easy).

I also thought BCB was blocked, as the first time I tried to access it from school, the site was down at the time. LOL.

We block damn near everything in school. Not that I surf in school. I just sit around and watch my saved episodes of Top Gear on my Vaio.

I think my old high school blocked wikipedia for awhile. Cause, you know, it poisons the mind.
