Actually, it’s supposed to be a secret, but all the “fancharacters” after Tess, Kizuna, and McCain were created by Taeshi herself and then were “given” to a few interested people as part of a mass advertising campaign. The idea was that if people thought that people were making OC’s for her webcomic that people would think that the comic was a wicked awesome comic (which, of course, is true). This would cause more interest as people would see the characters on the “creators’” deviantART accounts.

This is why Taeshi rants about bad fancharacters. She just didn’t create them.

Fiona is Lisa’s creation, yes.

The stories behind the fan characters are not as readily available as the other stories, but you can find some of them by searching the forums for ToastyJester’s, Lisa’s, Gabriel Kaxbe’s and so on’s art threads.

Oh, and that’s an interesting thesis, Gabriel. ^_^
