Bittersweet Candy Bowl

So I found a curious device while on a plane today. Hence SkyMall. :p

Since this is an artistic forum, has anyone used a device like this? Is it functional? Would it make digitally inking all of my crap more time-effective? This is the first time I’ve seen something like this, although the concept seems logically sound.
