Your Birth Arcana

Comment ID #81918

You like Tarot Cards, right? They’re cool, right?

Well then, now you can calculate your birth arcana!

I was born under The Devil, which simplifies to The Lovers

What are you?

I find my cards very interesting, since I feel that what the cards represent are semi-accurate descriptions of me.

I got Star/Strenght…
Actually I find what it say somewhat accurate of me.

I find it interesting how much variation in the results you can produce by messing with the inputs. If I had more time, I’d work backwards and figure out the formula, but I don’t.

I wouldn’t be too proud of being an arcana that deals with mental stagnation, egotism and vice.

@Hysteria: The forumla is likely based on similar things as the Zodiac, which explains why my birthday got 3 cards instead of 2 (as I’m in a contested Zodiac date).

Anyways, as if you al cared, I got the Magician (Creativity, Initiative), Fortune (Sudden Changes, Fate), and Sun (Enthusiasm, Optimism).

Not entirely accurate, especially Sun, I guess, but I’d never held much stock into mysticism.

The Heirophant is basically discipline, respect and learning.
Temperance is basically balance, union and health.

The Hermit is basically seclusion, inner thinking, meditation.
The Moon is basically confusion, deception and fantasy.

The Emperor is basically order, leadership and tradition.
Death is change, transition and the end of old ways.

Note: Tarot cards sort of ‘mean’ different things in pairs than they do alone, and can be reversed (meaning basically the opposite), and the first 14 (starting at 0) are thought to meant the journey in life and the last set are thought to mean the journey of the soul, hense why death is in the middle and signifies ‘change’ rather than ‘the end’. Your milage may vary depending on who you ask.

Hermit and Moon together is an interesting choice as it can be interperted as daydreaming and self delusion at the cost of sociality and isolation.

Death and Emperor are neat together as it can be interperted as the ending of an old established tradition or authority.

Granted, this may not fit you at all, but then again, I never personally believed in mysticism.
