Nothin’ much. I’m getting stuff ready so I can go get a haircut and some contacts tomorrow. Also that “super-medicine” isn’t working for me anymore so I’m wondering if they’ll just take out another six inches of intestines. I’d be okay with that. It gets me painkillers for, like, six months. I’m learning to complain in just the right way that I can wheedle Oxycontin out of them if it comes to it.

Okay dokey then. Don’t get hooked on the stuff though bro, I would hate for you to slip into a downward spiral of depression and end up in an alley way downtown begging to sell your liver for drugs.

Who would make rude inappropriate jokes with me then?

Nah, Oxycontin isn’t about depression for me. It’s a desperation drug. It’s an “I hurt so bad that I don’t want to feel anything at all” drug. Now that the ulcers are back, this is kind of where I am. I’ve learned that if I tell them that I hurt, they’ll pretty much ignore me, which is another reason I switched to stronger anti-deps: they recognized the pain as a problem but refused to treat the pain in favor of treating my reaction toward the pain.

Plus, I don’t have an addictive personality. I smoke cigarettes, but only one cigarette per month. I drink alcohol, but extremely rarely. The xanax is to help me get to sleep.

Anyway, I’m rambling. Forget about it.

Naw it’s cool yo, I know what ya mean. I have an addictive personality though so I can’t take any of that stuff. Well except the smell of cigarettes makes me want to hurl and I’m terrified what would happen if I drank.

pain is insignificant. learn to block it out with your mind.

Drinking sucks. I only drink small amounts when I do. Ideally, one or two shots of tequila before bed makes it easier to read because it relaxes the muscles in my eyes that help me focus so I can speed-read longer without getting a migraine.

As for smoking, what I do is take one cigarette and go outside on a cool day with my iPod and listen to a couple songs and just savor the taste of the tobacco. After that, I drink some Coke because cigarette after-taste makes Coca Cola taste better. Cigarette smoke reminds me of my dad and late night conversations hanging out with friends and the girl that I almost married. It calms me.

Well it’s good that it reminds you of good times but it makes me gag. And I just hide the pain, bottling it up inside till it wants to burst inside me. That’s healthy right?

Make a list of all the things you hate about the world and life.
Find the person you hate most in life.
Beat that person unconscious.
Shove that list in their trachea.

You know, since I’m a librarian, I’m actually seriously going to request writing my thesis paper on the organization of pornography. My theory is that economic and biological impulses create a different drive for organization than in other sectors.
