Arbiter dark eldar are not servants of chaos, they are just sadistic. And ninja this thread can’t be salvaged, it was damned from the start, I’m still suprised it’s still here

me too

Ace, no they cant be swayed by chaos because their ties to the warp are much different than the chaos winds. Besides, Orks are like huge muscley hobbits: they dont want the sort of power that chaos offers them like hobbits can resist the power of the ring. Chaos has no control over them (i read the codex, i have the codex and they cant be swayed by chaos. the dont WANT chaos. orks arent even an original species they were CREATED along with the Eldar as a war machine by a dead race)

But eldar were corrupted cuz of some douche messin with the webway. orks just tough out the warp and get to the killin bits. The orks are like their gods Gork and Mork (what imaginative names) who are essentially invincible and cannot be persuaded by anyone or anything, and Chaos is an awesome enemy, so why would they succumb to it? they’re too unstable and warlike to be subdued by chaos.

huh… i thought the dark eldar were slaneshi…

and what about wierd boys? arent they chaosy?

please correct me if im wrong.

GoldenArbiter01 August 30, 2010, 2:34 PM EST.

Nah dark eldar originally thought that the only way to survive was to appease slaneesh by giving sacrifices, of course this didn’t work. In time they learned to like the lifestyle.

Weirdboyz have a connection not as much to the warp as a conduit to the raw pshyic energies produced by a horde of orks in on place.

And Chaz, what edition do you refer to? Thety change fluff all the time, but in the demonhunters codex, They allude to orks that can be corrupted by chaos arifacts or demons playing their influence out on the world. Now orks will normally not willingly submit to those they deem inferior(chaos) but that does not change the fact that they can.

i refer to the modern one, the one since the last major ork-related White Dwarf

Admitted that they often side with chaos on many occasion but are quick to turn on these newfound “allies” at the slightest excuse.

@trev: ultra smurfs? own? are you sure the arent something…. better? like any other chapter?

@ace: thanks for the info.

@everyone: does anyone here play any of the computer games online?

I play ‘nilla smurfs. They’re pretty flexible and are certainly not bad, but they are hardly unbeatable.

I would have to say that if Lucy and a Space Marine could meet, the laws of reality and physics would be so fucked up that Lucy could win if she was lucky and Taeshi was in the same room.

That would’ve been awesome if the art had been better and it didn’t have that incredibly cheesy “ONLY THOSE WORTHY MAY READ THIS.”

Hahaha Ah Maverik, I respect you, you know that?

Seriously nerding out is cool and all I love that, but this thread has outlived its usefulness it was something befitting the random chat.

And anyways Fantasy is a good game but my hear belongs to 40k. (Even if I loooove my Empire in Fantasy. Who has 7 warmachines? THIS GUY!)

I’m a fresh convert. I’ll never play the board version or read the books, but I’ll play whatever good game adaptations they make and pay close attention to the canon.

if you play online, look me up. (GoldenArbiter01)

GoldenArbiter01 September 2, 2010, 7:36 PM EST.

Comment ID #85681

lol i didnt like DOW2 that much, given that i prefered the old AOE type strategy game that the old series had been, and suddenly thrown into this vastly new and confusing way of playing a game. (for me)

Chazfullmetal September 2, 2010, 9:29 PM EST.

Comment ID #85683

I enjoy DoW 2’s campaign and the expansion is fun. ALTHOUGH if you play the expansion on primarch, just try to beat the last boss…I dare you. In my opinion orks are underpowered in the multiplayer, but maybe thats just me. Also I agree about soulstorm, terrible game.

JuniorBoomer September 2, 2010, 9:34 PM EST.

Comment ID #85686

I’m looking forward to space marine, gunna be awwwwesome, as it looks like bolters will actually Explode in this game.

And I like the campaign on dow2 but the multiplayer in Dow1 so much better. Best was winter assualt for multiplayer when your units weren’t really capped and IG would rape everything short of a drop pod assualt and a orbital strike.
