So… I was browsing the yu-gi-oh! wikia (shut up) the other day and I clicked on a link, which happened to lead to a wiki about superpowers and stuff.

That’s not exactly the purpose of this thread, though it is related.

The questions are…

1.- What would your be your power?
2.- Would you be good? Evil? Something in between?
3.- How would you use that power, what kind of cool stuff would you do with it?
4.- Any extra info you might want to add.
5.- (Optional) If you randomed, what power would you rather have? Describe said power in the same way.

Assume you are a supreme master in whatever power you chose, having the power in its best-case scenario.

P.S. Picking Immortality, Omnipotence, Omnipresence or any such powers is lame. I suggest you try another random if you happen to get one of those over the top powers.

Telepathic Perception
I would use it for my own good which may cause me to be something in between, I would use it to find out secrets and thoughts about others and compile these secrets til I know what to do with them. Reading minds would be an amazing power in my opinion.

Omnilingualism was my random power

1. Mind control variant. I can hide subliminal messages in things like objects, voice and body language to control people remotely or directly. It’s not telepathic or anything so it’s powerful but I think not overpowered.
2. That’s a loaded question, Pinky.
3. It’s pretty useful in mass media environments. Say, for example, I wanted Osama bin Laden to walk to the nearest US military checkpoint unarmed, all I have to do is make sure that something from me reaches him somehow.

1.- Random power: Narcosis
2.- I really don’t know. There’s potential to cause discomfort to people, or aliviate them from pain. Narcosis doesn’t really have any feasible evil uses, nor good, guess I’ll just be whatever I am right now. Damn this power sucks.
3.- Maybe joke around making people numb here and there, seeing how they clumsily try to move around.
4.- None

1.- Preferred power: Psionic Inundation
2.- I agree with Miw, power does corrupt, and this power does serious damage. I would try to exclusively use it in emergencies before the corrupting happens.
3.- It can silently kill, or cause serious damage to a person’s mind. I would use it in case I get mugged or something like that. People who did very wrong against me or someone I care for would receive death (Im vengeful =P). I would probably just give some headaches to people I just don’t like, or are giving me a hard time.
4.- None

1) The ability to solve Rubik’s Cubes with the power of my mind in milliseconds
2) I could totally be in the bad side… just imagine how evil I could be solving cubes and distracting everyone while stealing money…
3) I could not only solve Rubik’s Cubes, but also Rubik’s Pyramids and Rubik’s Spheres… all at the same time…! Hundreds of times!!!

You could use it to turn off a person’s ability to gauge their own limits like, say, at a weightlifting competition, to the point that they hurt themselves horrible without knowing it.

You could turn off a person’s pain so they’d feel there were no ramifications for doing something dangerous. “Jump off this building, you won’t feel a thing.”

You could make someone in an important position so numb that they have no precision in their actions. You could use this on surgeons and airline pilots, you dig?

As long as you’re creative, you can do serious damage.

Does anyone else find it ironic you wanna stop nuclear explosions with atomic ones?

I picked the random button for fun and actually got Electric Mimicry. Basically I can turn my body into electricity and travel through wires and computers and such.

This is funny because I have always wanted electrical powers. But I would use mine differently.

First off I would be good, and use static electricity to have a sort of telekinesis. I could also shock people for the lulz and maybe even change the water in my bodies electrical charge so I could have some kind of levitation power, (close to flying if you will).

NERD ALERT! Look who’s thought about this alot!

@spradic zoom- keep in mind, the shields would contain it to kim jong ils exact location making it seem like i vaporized him, and my shields would inspire a fear of god in the soldiers who would then bow to my will and become part of south korea.

There are many lost souls that roam this world. The forgotten, the cursed, the bound, and the unforgiven. They all seek the release they were robbed of in death, and are willing to go great lengths to attain it. All they need is a hand.

I am that hand.

I fashion the masks of the spirits, and with them I summon those lost souls to do my bidding. My masks give them form, and I promise them the rest they so desire. The Mask of the Lost gives a body to wandering shades and makes them formidable warriors. The Mask of Screams gives voice to the cursed; their howls crippling the mind with blind terror. The Mask of Warden grants the vengeful spirit the power to imprison the very souls of the living.
Yet of all these, it is the Mask of Judgment that is most feared. This final Mask calls back to this world the spirits of all the people my foe has wronged to bear witness to his/her guilt, and mete out punishment accordingly.

With this great, yet terrible power (for I must bear the memories of all I release), I go my own way. Some say my work is good and just, other maintain that is is vile and twisted. But I do not care. As long I as can live with my own conscience, I am content.

Invisibility

I’d probably just go around, righting wrongs, making people who I don’t like miserable. Stealing food and shit to get by. Sleeping in people’s houses, invisible. I would remain anonymous as much as I could. I’d basically just act as an invisible ghost hand of god. I’d probably just wander around a lot. I’d be a rather insipid superneutral.

3.- How would you use that power, what kind of cool stuff would you do with it? Hack into this forum and change the color of my text bubbles to gray/black.
4.- Any extra info you might want to add: First order of business would be to help kazi with his kim-jong-il thing. Second order of business avoid becoming an a-hole.

1 - Mind Control
2 - Mmmh… I think I would TRY to be good, but you know, this is a hypotetical situation so I don’t know what I really would do :asd:
3 - Well, Mind Controll would allow me to stop almost any conflict I came across without spilling any blood by simply making surrender one of the two “arguer” (not really sure about this term) or putting one of them in a situation wich he could hardly find a way to continue the fight (dropping a weapon and make him lay down, for example)…
It would come in handy for major conflict too by manipulating the governement, of course I also would need a bit more knowledge to avoid to make more damage than the upcoming war would cause (I should also keep in mind that in a world where there are such power there should be also a way to prevent what I just said from happening, so I would eventually get busted in no time :asd: )
4 - It is a great power since it permits to end anything even before it start (if there are the right conditions), but I wouldn’t like to use it since I don’t like to enter other people’s mind, they a some kind of shrine and last defense from the outworld and would be wrong to violate it.
5 - Actually there are two powers I like, the first is the Monster Mutation (especially if is a form of a flying demon), it would come in handy since if there are more transformation: I would be able to adapt myself to the situation… A some kind of “joker”
The second would be the Summoning… It is almost the same as the Monster Mutation but instead of throwing myself in the battle I would summon something to do it for me… Of course I don’t like to just pop something to fight for me but there is the advantage of being able (if skilled enough) to summon more than one creature, so in the end it would be more effective… The drawback is that I should have a lot of willpower or I would being screwed by the creatures I summoned >.

Oh dear. As a random power, I got “Induced Liquefaction”. Apparently, I can make anything melt just by touching it:

“At the user’s touch, molecules instantly start merge together and thus lose total physical cohesion.

Organism may die or oddly live anatomically adjusted to this way. Dangerous ability, highly involuntary.”

That is vile. ^_^

If I were to choose, though:

1. Omnilingualism.
2. Silly question. Good, of course. ^_^
3. I could help translate ancient writing that is currently puzzling scientists. More importantly, though, I might be able to help where cultures meet and collide.
4. Most probably, however, I’d use it for fun. Not maliciously, but being able to speak with anyone would be marvellous. ^_^

Its really boring and I don’t give a thing

I would like to be able to doodle crap that then came to life as long as the paper remained intact. Like that’d be cool. I could draw a dog and the dog would run around and do dog stuff like piss on fire hydrants or chase cats.

I wouldn’t really do anything good or evil with it, I’d just like draw a bubble and watch it bounce around for fifty hours and name it Squibbs. It would make a high pitch electronic whine whenever I petted it, and would shine a rainbow of colors when it feels loved. I would laminate it’s paper and lock it in a vault so it would live forever and never disappear. In my will I will leave Squibbs a note saying the safe combination and if he wanted to have his paper destroyed to show my cousin the note, or if he would prefer to wander the world forever he could do so.

That’d be cool.

If not that then something to do with using the power of Rock. Oh or teleporting.

1 Electric Manipulation. I randomed this and I already love this power.

2 I don’t know…I’d try to be good, but that kind of power can corrupt, as has been said.

3 Well, hypothetically, if I was a top tier user of my power I could become a one man army in this day and age, using my amazing powers to fry my enemies, blow things up, and whenever I touche someone, they get a very shocking sensation.

4 Electricity Manipulation is beastly without being literally beastly.

Teleportation, Nuetral Nuetral, I’d help myself to what I want, sexings, also sexings.

2. I’d probably be good, with a hint of evil, just in case.
3. I could probably make it snow in this country. That or make glorious ice sculptures (or figurines and such) and sell them for huge cash.
4. I’ve never experienced snow in my 17 years of living.

Preferred:
1. Timebending. Hell yeah!
2. Either, depending on my mood.
3. Lots of possibilities with this. Make wrongs to rights, just goof off with certain people while everything else is frozen in time, slow down the good moments and fast forward the excruciating ones, do stuff I will never be able to do if time just passed by. Yeah, that’d be awesome.

Psionic Swordsman - no i didnt random. Its the ablity to augment your abilities using psionic energy and also create weapons from it like blades, or fire it in controlled bolts. Its a very versatile power that, with training, grants flight, force-like powers and various other cool powers like invisiblity, shields, taking the image of another person, etc.

The downdside however is that, though you would be shielded from most attacks by the energy, if you are in combat with a shit load of people at once, your mind would be under a lot of psychic stress and could overload and shut down, putting you in a coma temporarily. The same would happen if you used the power for a prolonged period of time, so constant use of this power is very dengerous.

Basically, its an awesome power but needs to be controlled and measured for the sake of your well being. And its downsides stop it from being overpowered.

2.
I would be the chaotic neutral alignment; siding with whoever I wanted or whoever had something worth my time and effort. I would be quick to turn on people though i would hesistate to do something rather selfless if needed like save the Earth (its where i live!) or save a fellow superhero (someone’s gotta save the cities and i’m too lazy)

3.
I would probably become an assassin for hire, being paid millions to take out specific targets. Or a bounty hunter, bringing in wanted men and women for a client. or just a freelance guy doing whatever and taking whatever in return. I wouldnt be a rapist because thats dumb. i’d stab the whores after i use them anyway with my psionic blades (im a nasty person ^_^ )

4.
I would probably end up losing an arm on a mission and building once psionically out of super-hard alloys. Using it i would channel my psionic energy for more powerful attacks (and also be able to morph the arm would be cool)

Yeah, i thought this through a long time ago, but it was still tough to choose my other choices were:

Biological Transformer:
A transformer with the ability to turn into a human. X-rays would show me as human but underneath the skin would be plates of super-hard metal and hidden weapons like machine guns and laser cannons and wristblades! (Wristblades FTW!!!)

“King of Hearts” Burning Gundam Powers:
Since i got Gundam Dynasty Warriors, my favourite guy to play as is Domon Kasshu, the King of Hearts. His Gundam, (big robot suit) has the ability to move super fast, fly, and destroy anything with his super burning attacks. it also works as a shield, stopping pretty much anything coming at him with his hand.

Homunculus Powers:
A homunculus is an artiicially created being born of the forbidden Arts of Alchemy. When a dead Human is attempted to be brought back to life by alchemy, a Homunculus is born as well as a monster

(Alchemy uses elements and the laws of physics to create things. In order to obtain, something of equal value must be lost. It is possible to create life or alter it using alchemy, as the elements that make up humans and other animals are known and obtainable. But, it is impossible for Alchemy to recreate or create a mind or soul, so whatever is created is simply a brain-dead monster with little more than raw instinct. If you want to see a very gory, sad and scary example, watch the first 5 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist, where the mains character show what they lost trying to bring back their dead mother, and also what happened and how they tried to do it.)

A homunculus cannot die and has a power associated with one of the deadly sins since it was a sinful creation. its only weakness is that it is little more than a doll if it is brought within a few meters of any remains of its real body (the dead person that alchemy tried to revive)

Watch Fullmetal Alchemist up to episodes 5 prt 1 and 2 or episode 6
That is, if you dont mind a sad, gory story of two boys who lose everything trying to bring back their mom from the dead. In spite of it, its very interesting as a story.

Depending on the user’s control of the power or genetic structure, the reactive effects can be permanent or temporary.

2. I’ll be sort of an anti hero.
I won’t go out of my way to help someone, but if I get something out of it, I’ll do what ever needs to be done.

3. I could become the greatest boxer in human history. Imagine going up against someone where with evey punch you give them, every move they see, and every second you fight them… they become more and more stronger. No one will be able to defeat me! AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA~!!! *ahem*

4. This could really help me in school. Every test I take will make me smarter, so… yeah.

Just look out for the stuff that kills you.

1. Okay, Like in the last airbender, the power to bend water. FULL POWER not this wishy washy “only water! not ice!”. All water. Everywhere, even if i can’t see it, or could possibly know its there. “does this planet have water on it?” “nope.” “you sure?” “yep.”

2. Chaotic Neutral. Fun times.

3. This power is the complete and utter control of the compound H2O. I can split it, vibrate it, move it, flow it, destroy it, and compress it. This means in a battle with, say, an army of space marines, I can just have the water in their heads get sucked into one point of their brain, and freeze, killing them instantly. Or, split all the water in their head into hydrogen, and oxygen, then vibrate one or two of the remaining water molecules so fast that the hydrogen catches fire. This is what water can do. Fear it.

4. This would be epic for everything, if used in creatively enough. Force choke someone, defuse a hydrogen bomb, create a hydrogen bomb, bring about the ice age, and everything in between! If i had the brain power i could use the water within your skull to tell what neurons are firing, and in witch direction, and READ YOUR FUCKING MIND.

5. Nightmare Realms is what i got, control of the opponents nightmares, and makes him/her think that they are real, and summon their nightmares from the depths of hell to aid you in battle. Cool, but not as cool as the fact that i can make your head into a microwave anytime i wish.

1. I did random and got “Simian Mimicry”
2. I would mimic simians with good intentions
3. I would use my simian mimicry to mimic simians
4. Simian mimicry is pretty radical
5. Simian mimcry is definitely the most practical and super totally awesome power ever. I would not even change it for inanimate object mimicry.

I randomed three times:

First time i got Memory Manipulation; the power to rewrite, obstruct, control, or read other people’s mind.

Second time i got Computer Manipulation; the power to control computers completely through simply touching them. Like being able to access every computer in the world no matter how protected it is.

Third time i got Money Ray. Kinda dumb cuz i cant conjure up money for leisure, but i can shoot coins at high speeds, or bribe others with infinite riches.

ok one more time:

this time i got Immobility, in which nothing can move me but i can move myself.

come get me hulk!



EDIT: so i started clicking it over and over and getting stupid powers, when suddenly i came on a really good one:

Death Evocation: the power to kill people instantly at a thought or touch, but it doesnt work on myself or immortals, though touching immortals may make them experience unbearable pain. i would need gloves for this.

I got something called the Michael Hayes power…or something like that.

anyways if i had a power it would be shadow manipulation, and while such an ability would seem inherintly evil, id use it for good.

i been randomig for ages and i got Body Part Reshaping just now. i can shape my body and limbs into anything. i’d make blades from it and also shoot people with bullet-like bits of bone.

EDIT: later i got Electric Manipulation: a power i’ve dreamed of since i was a child. Its the power to generate, manipulate and completely control electricity in all its forms. I could shoot lightning or create storms or control people

Me too. sort of. i prefer Lycanthropy: Werewolfism. Not like those weird Twilight wolves i mean anthropomorphic Werewolves (humanoid werewolves) that can talk and fistfight and stuff. They arent affected by the stupid silver bullets or crosses either.
