wow for once I don’t want to start with a fire pokemon.

@That Guy: This was the first Pokemon game to ever get a perfect 40/40 score. All the rest were never rated this high. Several were rated much much lower.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 9, 2010, 12:11 AM EST.

Comment ID #88725

That does give promise of two great games.

And apparently, Gabriel, you’re an even more avid reader of Bulbapedia than I am ^_^

still waiting on a duel normal/ghost type havent seen one of those yet

that review seems a mite suspicous so i shall have to reserve my judgment until ot comes out

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 3:00 PM EST.

Comment ID #88782

Well, considering how Normal has only been paired with three types so far (not counting Shikijika), that is not surprising. ^_^

Actually, I’d love to see a Ghost-/Fire-type. Like Ninetales, only better.

ILB September 9, 2010, 3:39 PM EST.

Comment ID #88790

i dont think another fox type will be in the works for awhile they already have those two new ones based on the kitsume in this generation zorua and its evolution

ghost types are rare in any generation though

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 4:02 PM EST.

Comment ID #88796

Yes, I know. :(

But I want one if it has to be my dying wish. ^_^

ILB September 9, 2010, 4:31 PM EST.

Comment ID #88807

a ghost steel combo would also be nice, maybe a haunted suit of armour perhaps

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 6:09 PM EST.

Comment ID #88808

yeah that would be awesome

Chazfullmetal September 9, 2010, 6:12 PM EST.

Comment ID #88832

@Goldwulf: Previous Pokemon games have never gotten higher than a 35. Still a good score, but still, the fact that Famitsu gave a perfect score to the most recent generation is huge. Ruby and Saphire got 34/40 and Diamond and Pearl got 35/40. If Famitsu did the original games back when they came out, they probably would’ve recieved a higher score than those two games.

i guess, i really enjoyed platinum the best and that is going to be what i measure any future games by, i was hugely disapointed by heartgold, i know it was a remake but i still had high hopes for it

the new season mechanc is going to be interesting in the very least with that deer pokemon haveing a different appearance for every season should be a nice touch

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 7:26 PM EST.

Comment ID #88838

Yeah, with Black and White adding season changes along with keeping day/night changes is a very nice addition. Also, I’m very curious about how triple battles will play out. The screenshots shown seemed very cluttered. If they eventually do full party battles, they might have to alter the batttle screen and mechanics to be somewhat similar to the Robopon series.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 9, 2010, 7:30 PM EST.

Comment ID #88842

look whos having McCain pokemon moments

Chazfullmetal September 9, 2010, 7:35 PM EST.

Comment ID #88846

triple battles will be slightly more complex than doubles seeing as how placement with the party will affect who can fight who, the one in the middle can fight any of them and the ones on the sides can only fight the one across from it.

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 7:38 PM EST.

Comment ID #88849

Ooh. Fire/Water. ^_^

Right now, I’m looking forward to see if there are any new Eeveelutions.

ILB September 9, 2010, 7:40 PM EST.

Comment ID #88855

I just want more damn ghost types.

Combinations that will make me <3:

Ghost/Steel
Ghost/Fire
Ghost/Fighting
Ghost/Psychic
Ghost/Normal
Ghost/Water

Gabriel Kaxbe September 9, 2010, 7:53 PM EST.

Comment ID #88863

ghost eeveloution, dragon eveeloution and bug eveeloution would all be good in my opinion though so far i seems like all the new pokemon in this generation are not connected to any past regions, so im not sure if there wll be any eeveloution in this generation, disapointing if there isnt because i have like fifty eevees in platinum just sitting there

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 8:11 PM EST.

Comment ID #88866

@Goldulf: Most likely, there will be new eveelutions, you’ll just have to wait to get the national dex first. Remember how in Diamon/Pearl, you couldn’t get Rotom until after getting the National Dex despite it being a new pokemon0? Same is the case with a few ledgendaries also.

And I’d personally want to see the ghost evee and fighting evee. Normal evee would be cool even.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 9, 2010, 8:18 PM EST.

Comment ID #88873

A Normal-type Eeveelution would be magnificent. Eeveon. ^_^

I hope there will be some, but Generation III did not have any new ones and that was, too, an odd-numbered generation… Steel-type Eevee would be good, too. Ireon. ^_^

ILB September 9, 2010, 8:26 PM EST.

Comment ID #88874

did not know that actually never played dimond and pearl just yellow, platinum and heartgold, and rotom was easy enough to get in platinum

im not excited that retarded brocoli monkey is part of a trio of stupid monkeies, i pray they are not as ugly as it is

i guess fighting type eevee would be flexion

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 9, 2010, 8:27 PM EST.

Comment ID #88880

wtf would a flying type eevee be like you suppose

Heres a topic, if there was a new pokemon type, what would it be?
Air? - Aireon
Light? - Brighteon
Or maybe a really kingdom-hearts style “nothing” type? Voideon

what u think?

i think i suck at names.

Chazfullmetal September 9, 2010, 8:34 PM EST.

Comment ID #88916

Air would not be a good new type. The only two I can imagine are Light (as an opposite to Dark) and Lava (with characteristics from Fire, Rock and Steel). But both of those carry great weaknesses.

And amoeba-type would be pointless. ^_^

ILB September 9, 2010, 9:26 PM EST.

Comment ID #88924

^HA!

PUN-CH September 9, 2010, 9:37 PM EST.

Comment ID #88926

Whatever did I do this time? ^_^

ILB September 9, 2010, 9:38 PM EST.

Comment ID #88930

Well dark and light would both be super-effective against eachother, but light would also be effective against ghost but weak against psyshic i think.

Lava isnt that good, since it is more like a fire sub-type. (see Rhyperior and Magmar evolutions)

Nothing would be effective against everything but neither super effective nor unaffective to any type and vice versa. it would also be extremely rare.

but its still cool. maybe a legendary would be a nothing type

Chazfullmetal September 9, 2010, 9:43 PM EST.

Comment ID #88945

I really don’t want to see any more new types. The only reason Dark was made was to balance out the type grid since Psychic was too powerful during the first games. Steel was made only because of its resistence to several elemental types while only being effective against two types, requiring more skill to use.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 9, 2010, 9:53 PM EST.

Comment ID #88947

doesnt matter either way i guess

Chazfullmetal September 9, 2010, 9:54 PM EST.

Comment ID #89707

even more new ones here looks like the evolution scan were the real deal

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 11, 2010, 3:25 PM EST.

Comment ID #89710

My take on Goldulf’s discoveries:

Evolutions - TOLD YA
Baoppu, Yanappu, and Hiyappu - Baoppu is the only cool one. And why do we have three Gym Leaders with similar themes? Gentleman host or whatever.
Basurao - Evolves into a shark
Yorterri - It’s ugly. It’s not even ugly-cute.
Choronecko- Choronecko > Glameow
Desukan - I’m a sucker for ghost Pokemon, and I did see this one before. However, I was hoping that it would be ghost/ground or something since it’s Egyptian
Ononokusu - Bladeface
Denchura - Cutest bug type ever~
Doryuzu - Moguryuu has a cool evo? IMPOSSIBLE
Buffalon - PLEASE OH PLEASE ENGLISH LOCALIZATION TEAM! KEEP IT’S NAME
Dangoro - It’s like a Geodude fucked a Seedot
Mebukijika- BADASSERY LIKE NEVER BEFORE FROM A NORMAL
Tabune - It’s an ugly Chancey
Monmen - This is ridiculous
Churine - Again.
Tamagetake - I llove mushroom Pokemon

Gabriel Kaxbe September 11, 2010, 3:54 PM EST.

Comment ID #89711

the gym leaders with the retard monkies are the first faced, which leader you fight depends on your choice of starter, which ever yours is weak to, you fight

Goldwulf Q. Triplesexy September 11, 2010, 3:56 PM EST.

Comment ID #89712

That’s stupid. While kinda cool.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 11, 2010, 3:59 PM EST.

Comment ID #89716

How come they make another Fire/Fighting starter Pokémon? That got old in the previous generation. ^_^

Anyway. My thoughts:
Janoby: It is still fantastic. I’m glad it’s the real deal. ^_^
Chaobu: No, not good. Even worse since it’s the third Fire/Fighting starter evolution in a row.
Futachimari: Now that’s more like it! ^_^
Baoppu/Hiyappu: Yes, I agree with you, Gabriel. Baoppu has got that something that Yanappu hasn’t. Hiyappu is not all that bad either, though.
Basurao: Carvanha again? I don’t really like this one.
Yorterri: What are you talking about? This one is wonderful. ^_^
Choroneko: Mmh. I quite like it.
Desukān: We have another Bronzong in the works, apparently.
Ononokusu: I hope it isn’t related to Kibago. I mean, it’s not exactly bad, but Kibago is far better.
Denchura: Haww. It’s an interesting choice of type, and I guess it looks as good as such a Pokémon could look. So fair enough. ^_^
Doryūzu: Better than Moguryuu, but I still prefer Dugtrio.
Buffalon: Hee. Isshu has got to be America. I mean, first Wargle, then this. ^_^ It looks like a lot of fun, though.
Dangoro: Kind of pointless, but very entertaining to look at.
Mebukijika: Yes, this is perfect. We have both Bambi and his father. ^_^
Tabunne: It has a certain charm. I like that.
Monmen: Hee. It’s so ridiculous that it might just become one of my favourites. ^_^
Churine: Aww. It’s really cute.
Tamagetake: A Pokéball mushroom? Fun, certainly, although if it gets a backstory like that of Voltorb I will be slightly disappointed.

@ILB: It’s not an item!? WTF POKEMON BATTLE

Gabriel Kaxbe September 11, 2010, 4:33 PM EST.

Comment ID #89722

The mushroom? No, apparently not.

If not: What are you talking about? ^_^

ILB September 11, 2010, 4:39 PM EST.

Comment ID #89724

@ILB: The mushroom, yeah. Walk up to something thinking it’s an item… DAMN YOU VOLTORB.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 11, 2010, 4:50 PM EST.

Comment ID #89727

Oh, like that. I must have misunderstood you. ^_^

That would actually be quite desperate. It stops being fun when it’s not a round ball making radio sounds and paralyzing your Pokémon. ^_^

ILB September 11, 2010, 4:54 PM EST.

Comment ID #89730

strange…i just notice that the stupid monkies all have playing card symbols on the end of their tails…..

im not sure if that dragon is the second evolution or the third…if it’s the third than it would be the first fully evolved pure dragon type so far

i think i like Bambi’s winter form the most so far

Black and Whtie released!

Unofficial pokedex so far, more info to be revealed.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 16, 2010, 8:18 PM EST.

Comment ID #92295

I think only the prereleases have been sent out? Or are Japan that early birds? ^_^

And, wow. If Victini is the first Pokémon in Isshu listing I will be endeared and positively surprised.

ILB September 16, 2010, 8:29 PM EST.

Comment ID #92313

@ILB: Well, this is unofficial, but it does use information gathered from many, many sources. Also, the black and white versions came out today in Japan. English translations won’t be available until spring.

Gabriel Kaxbe September 16, 2010, 9:07 PM EST.

Comment ID #92318

Well, according to Bulbapedia Saturday doesn’t start for Japan before about eighteen hours have passed. So I do believe the information we’re getting right comes from the pre-shippings.

ILB September 16, 2010, 9:12 PM EST.

Comment ID #92324

Well, you’re right about that. Early shippings FTW
