i have viking instincts. i enjoy conflict and battle and killing. its terrible, but i cant live without it, but i also cant live as just that, i need to live for a cause and only gain the viking satisfaction from that cause.
so i live FOR something.

I believe neither of those, Kazi. And no, Alzheimers/dementia does not create a loss of intellect. There is a loss of memory, but memory is not thought or intelligence. It is what one remembers. What we call “subconscious” and “conscience” is not affected, either.

Besides, I did not say that either of those were the soul. What I said was that science is unable to grasp what they are and where they come from. Therefore we cannot comprehend them through empiric research. Science does not have an answer to everything, not even to everything we know to exist. Thus I do not believe that the concept of a “soul” can be disproven. ^_^

suppose it boils down to what we each think of as bein the soul.

Its perfectly possible that the universe has existed infinitely. The big bang in simple terms is just an incredibly heavy atom, made up of all the mass of the universe. The heavier an atom gets, the more violently an atom collapses (Radioactive elements for example) This violent collapse causes the matter to explode far and wide, making TEH UNIVERSE.

Like everything you explode, it comes back down to the ground. Gravity brings all of matter back to a point (the great collapse), and fuses it back into this super atom. New big bag making TEH UNIVERSE again.
