This is one I’m sure a lot of people would like to go “Marcus Fenix” on, given the chance.

I watched the video, then I read some comments about killing ill puppies and the lady saying that they were her grandmas and they were ill and they needed to die.

I am confused.

Then why was she so gleeful about it? (You watch. She grins and laughs) Also, why do it in such a cruel way?

Either way, she was tracked down by some people, and now she’s been charged with animal cruelty to the tune of what I think was like… $5000 or something. Most people are of the opinion that this is too leaniant. But that’s what the law dictated.

That’s pretty awful. How would they know if puppies so young were really sick? I mean worms is kinda conceivable… but not really at that age…

Also, a fine of that low is really not that hard to believe, animal cruelty is intense but… really not that intense.

As much as I love puppies, I don’t think what the /b/tards did is justified in the slightest.

I mean, it’s not good that she threw puppies into the river. But, in my eyes, that does not warrant seeking her out, spamming her with threats and more or less marking her for life. Death by drowning is not that cruel by far. Besides, if what she says is true (that they were infected and had to be killed), there are far less humane ways of doing it. I do not believe she takes pleasure in euthanasing animals, neither in their pain.

In fact, years ago it was the norm to get rid of them by drowning. It is not inhumane (though far from good, I know ), stoning them would have been. Or throwing it in a cage and not feed it or give it drink until it starved to death. Perhaps feeding them to hungry hyenas. Those methods would have given cause for reproach, but the way 4chan treated her? No, I do not believe anything could justify labelling a young girl no one of them knew as a “heartless sadistic puppy murderer who should be thrown into the river herself”. Just imagine being tracked down without yourself knowing, and suddenly - out of the blue - receiving that much hate mail. I would not wish that upon anyone.

But again, let me say that I do not like seeing puppies drowning (thus why I did not watch the clip). I just think the reaction is exaggerated beyond what any sensible human being should be doing.


That said, why on earth she filmed it is a mystery to me. ^_^

I do not try to diminish the pain of drowning. I know it is a horrible death. But we forget that she could have done far worse if she wanted to cause them pain for pleasure. Drowning? They are gone, and you really won’t be seeing their discomfort since they’re at the bottom of a body of water. It would be a terrible choice for a sadist to employ.

Besides, many cultures are using similar ways even today (and it was the norm here not too long ago). Some asphyxate their guinea pigs, which is just as horrible as drowning them.

I disagree with you on the fact that you think 4chan went too far,i think they havent gone far enough,these puppies were only 3 days old and that “they were infected” is bull they did not look infected,and if they did get infected its because of that filthy bucket she was carrying them in. Now i know many things happen like this in the world that doesnt make them any less horrible,but you shouldnt tape it and then post it or let it be posted on the internet and it seems to me that she bought these puppies / “rescued” them simply to kill them a few days later or maybe a dog of hers gave birth to them? and she didnt want them idk i havent heard much about this tbh.

i suppose some people do things because they have the power to do so and its hard not to try. they need no other reason. i know such people. its sad really. some of them ended up losing everything.

anyway. it happened and theres nothing we can do now. theres nothing anyone can give up that can bring something back to life.

So it is all right putting people into the gaping stock, is it? That is a cruel punishment, worse than most ways of dying (including being drowned). Were the puppies infected? Maybe they weren’t, but I doubt we can tell that for certain by looking at this clip. I, for one, choose to believe that the story is true (that they were infected through their mother).

The point I was trying to make, was that if she were a cruel and heartless sadist she would have done this otherwise (by doing one of the things I have mentioned above). A few decades back, it was not uncommon to dump deathly sick or unwanted animals into the river - if it is still the custom there, how can we blame her for dealing with them that way? And if it is not, it is still far better than trampling them to death or whatever you might want to do. She is not the puppy hater/murderer she has been made out to be. If she were, then it would have been all the more clearer.

I firmly believe that humans should be more worth than animals. Not to the degree that animals are dirt and should be treated as such, but I will rejoice more every time a human life is saved than I will when that of a cat is. Yet these puppies have been victimised far beyond what they should, and the girl who threw them into the river has been stomped on, treated like dirt and (at least indirectly) been threatened on her life. Yes, what happened to them is terrible, let me emphasise that again, but I do not feel it justifies starting a manhunt and a hate mail campaign on a young girl.

Still, I do imagine that many of those who joined in this campaign have - more than once - killed a fly with unnecessary cruelty. Swatting it, and when it didn’t die, let it lie to dry out in the sun. Or caught a fish, and watched it struggle while laughing at it. Or thrown a saucepan at their neighbour’s wailing cat, and smiled as it struck. Maybe they even wear fur coats.

So she might have been ignorant as to how one should deal with sick animals. But does ignorance warrant punishment? No, it does not. And if it did, then someone should teach a lesson to those 4chan forumers who are ignorant to what the pillory can do to people. No, I would not support this at all, but it is meaningless to proclaim her as a sick and lawless person when those from /b/ actually broke several of the human rights to get to her and spread their arbitrary justice.

And you have no idea how it pains me to write all this. I did not want those puppies to die, especially not that way, but what happened to her is far more inhumane.

But, i firmly believe things happen for a reason. whatever reason it could be, no one dies for nothing. those puppies did NOT die for nothing. they cant have…

i hate those people that do things just because they can. they have the power and submit to the urge to abuse it. innocents die at the hands of those people.

i swear to god those people deserve everything they get as punishment.

Granted that drowning unwanted or sickly animals is indeed common practice in some countries. What is NOT common practice is throwing them over arm by the scruff of the neck, laughing and joking, filming it, then puting it on the internet.

Personally I don’t buy the sick puppies angle. But that’s because I think it’s an invention of people who simply don’t want to belive that people can be so cruel.

Like I said, I could not make myself watch the film so I did not see that. And that is indeed terrible. But I still feel that assaulting her with such force, threatening her and telling her what a horrible person she is, is disproportionate in any case.

And imagine, just imagine, if those from /b/ had gotten hold of the wrong person.

I did not check further into that story, but from what I gathered I feel the same way about that incident.
