My grandparents ON BOTH SIDES met in middle school and have been married over fifty years. so yeah. and I’m a junior and have been in a very faithful realationship with my girl for two years now. so sorry but that’s a load of crap.

I love hearing the facts of life from snotty juniors with blatant logic farts, like comparing relationships two generations ago to relationships today, or drawing on personal experience that completely ignores the premise of the original argument: “surviving the transition to college.” Good luck to you, but statistics are not on your side.

@ Taysh: I need a lobotomy. And then I could just pick my ending and then lurk around there in the archives and pretend. That said, I would eat a baby for another arc that puts all the characters back together like they were in Acapulco. I mean, not relationship-wise, but just to see how the dynamics have changed between everybody.

I know, honestly Lucy was smart to tell Mike how she feels, but she chose the wrong time to tell him. and now she’s a nervous wreck… thanks Mike. Again LucyXMike is a sunken ship, but “Donald duck” and “his nephews” are gonna bring it back up with ping-pong balls… (being metaphorical)

I realize that and I agree with him personally which Is kinda why I said bad timing… but still MikeXSandy won’t last much longer… I almost guaranty it. like a billy maze guatanty.

I will not lie, I am a major MikexLucy fan, when a couple is introduced at the beginning of the series I tend to stick with them. I’m not saying that they have the perfect relationship, God knows they don’t, and I understand Mav’s stance on how they can’t get together when their entire relationship is balanced on dependency issues, but I still love the idea of MikexLucy.

I don’t have a problem with Sandy, she’s a nice girl, but long term relationships rarely end well. And I love that Taeshi makes us think about if Mike and Lucy should really be together when their relationship is so unstable, but I honestly think at some point Lucy is going to have to grow up.

She’s more of the problem here than Mike. Sure he’s not helping at the situation, but after years of chasing after her, can you blame him? For once he wants to live his own life, he knows Lucy needs to grow up and stand up by herself that’s why he has turned his back on her. Lucy is going to have to stop waiting for someone to pick her up and rescue her, she needs to learn she can get out of the damn tower by herself if she will only try.

So yeah, MikexLucy has a lot of problems, but I still have hope for Childhood romance. Cause, really I’m just a kid at heart.

I’ve been a MikexSandy supporter from the beginning.
these last few chapters have just been upping my belief.

actually it was my first, but I’m slightly dyslectic so there really wasn’t anyone to teach me.

Theory: That play Sue is putting together is an attempt to get Mike and Lucy together… And the day of the play is going to be the same day Sandy comes to visit. Drama shall ensue….

I hope not, I’d like to see sandy get a fighting chance. I was actually expecting sephiroth cat to sabotage the play in a way that humiliates them or something.

@happehface: I’m not saying Sandy won’t get a fighting chance. However, this theory would be the best way to squeeze maximum drama out of the situation…. IMO.

Mike x Lucy? i asked stuff like that when i first joined near the end of summer. I think its unstable with a few holes but a ship is always repairable. ^_^

Well, more like the ship exploded in a ball of fire before sinking.

@ ILB not true almost every single ship (except Uss arizona) was recovered and reused after the pearl harbor bombing, it took only four months to fix them. so sunken ships can be recovered, let alone relationships, no worries. -Kevin

But if they had to be excavated? If we found Titanic or the Marie Celeste, we wouldn’t use them. We’d put them on display. ^_^

And most ships that do sink, frankly, stay sunk.

good point and I agree that MOST ship that take water stay there… but not all, infact the only reason those ships in pearl harbor were recovered was because they were in very shallow water

That WOULD be the ending, if the real paulo wasn’t porking every girl in 2 grades of high school simultaneously… Some people are forgetting the dream is non-canon n___n; wishfull thinking isn’t all bad though, a for effort.

I always figured the early MikexLucy moments were tantamount to a Chekhov’s gun, considering how amorphous Sandy has always been as a character (and still is even after she got her own arc).

Right now, everything’s been kind of linear. Why? I’ve said this before, but what the Hell: it’s the calm before the storm. There’s high school drama (losing virginity, new girlfriends, old flames, etc.) and then there’s catalysts, unknown quantities that Taysh writes during dark and stormy nights laughing maniacally at our ignorance while we sit and ship.

While I’m a supporter of Mike x Lucy, I think their situation can’t be resolved with a “Wow, I love you” speech. Neither of them have ever made up its mind. Lucy never actually got completely over her feelings for Paulo, and Mike is clinging to Sandy, who at this point it feels more like a wishful childhood memory than a real person. I know she’s real, but she just seems too perfect.
Mike is (has always been) sure that Lucy is just using him as an anchor, and fears what a relationship with her would mean to that. What if she realizes she doesn’t actually need him at all and leaves him?
Lucy never pursued actvely a relationship, fearing that the pain of Mike leaving her again would be even greater if they were a couple. Also, she struggles with the remains of her crush for Paulo.
Not an easyly solved problem, indeed. Or that’s what I think.

Sandy x Mike = DOOOMED

Lucy x Liam = Good for a while, but they’d grow apart

So I think they’ll both be available again, but if they stayed mad at each other it would be stupid.

Personally I’d like to see Mike and Tess hook up. Just seems like it’d work to me.
