Because everything needs a wiki page!
Its free advertising at any rate.

There’s a wiki for everything.
It’s only a matter of time before someone makes a wiki for BCB. It’s inevitable.

BCB is not relevant, it has not won any awards or achieved anything impressive like getting properly printed. Therefore it should not get a wikipedia article.

But hey if you wanna expand articles there’s always tvtropes :D BCB got an article there.

well If I ever judge a comic book award ceremony you know where I’ll look first… I’d pick BCB over my own comic

I am the writer for all the little plot twists and my brother is the main artist. about half the characters are based off of real people I’ve met over the years.

Also I hope nobody minds but I cameo’d David for five seconds in the intro. If Taeshi would like me to remove it she can say so.

I want bcb to stay off the radar! Just look at Scott Ramsoomair, soon as he became popular his uploads dropped off like crazy and now all he does is talk about all the cons he goes to. And his art style got dumber imo.

happehface September 15, 2010, 2:12 AM EST.

No offense, but that is a sort of selfish thing to say. I mean I don’t know a lot about how websites work, but I’m pretty sure more traffic means more money, and in my opinion Taeshi deserves as much money as possible for her amazing webcomic. So in my opinion we shouldn’t hope that the comic stays under the radar. I don’t think Taeshi would turn into Scott Ramsoomair personally so no worries there.

Taeshi is not Like Scott, and why scott got so many fans is because of the popular topic VIDEO GAMES!!!!!! (glimmering) Taeshi’s topic will keep her on the radar but still not so high that every SaM is gonna target her(more figures of speech) also unlike scott who updates whenever Taeshi is consistent which I’m not quite sure why that helps but it does.

I thought VG Cats is a forum with a comic attached to it. The forumites over there were pretty nice, and there was always the occasional jerk that wouldn’t find his heart of gold, and he gets flamed out by the mod himself. Ah. Good times.

They do have fun threads to tread through, like ‘Fav Pics’ or ‘Fav comic strips’ with thousands of top of the line pictures. The creative sub-section contains a lot of great stuff.

Though I must admit, those are nothing compared to the CandyBooru and the NSFW thread. So that’s why I’m here now.

But back to topic: honestly, Taeshi, this troper doesn’t think anyone short of a tvtropes expert can add anymore tropes to it. The only way to expand from here on is to Wikipedia! Because everybody knows everything is better with Wikipedia! Look at VG Cats! What happened after it was added to Wikipedia? Nothing! But it’s great to the ego: “Hey, and what do you do?” “I HAS WIKPDIA PAGE! I IS FAMOUS.”

However, I do look forward to the day that BCB will be legitimately put on Wikipedia by non-fans, through means of published comic books, notable influences to current culture, people over at animooted thread actually put BCB on TV, etc.

Ryan, i was about to say something about what you said but i better keep it to myself. Anyway, a wikipedia page wouldnt be a good idead right now in my opinion.

Shotgun_wizard September 15, 2010, 3:20 PM EST.

a wikia page? maybe when BCB’s storyline is more developed. Right now its too much hassle to be updating a wikia page every monday, wednesday and friday. or, something like that. A wikia page at the moment would only do what the BCB pages are already doing. (info on characters, etc)

so no, its not necessary.

It will only be a good idea if it’s relevant like if it has awards (hahahahahahahhaha) and stuff. I would feel quite embarrassed if it ever popped up there

Some day i will be as relevant as silly daddy……..

There’ve got to be some webcomic awards BCB would suit. We just need to find them and nominate you!

But really, unless BCB actually influences something in real life, a webcomic award isn’t much, to be honest. Sure, you get a webcomic award, but what’s the point? People used to give out their own awards back at the start of the century, and if you surf around, some people still keep those very old awards. Hell, some people on Neopets still have those “FUN PROFILE” trophies given by users themselves.

Now if it earns an actual, real life award (sponsored by something not on the web), that would be something to look forward to. If Taeshi gets stands at conventions, there’s that possibility of her to get an award. I dunno much about convention awards, though, but I did read about how Erika got her awards at DAR (webcomic). She got the award in real-life because she published her comics, and they got something like “Best Debut” and “Best Writing” and another award.

Personally, I would be happy enough if BCB gets published. What goes on from there is unpredictable, but if the book does get recognized by comic readers and critics alike, man, there’ll be a lot more people that read BCB. Then I could talk for hours on end with other people in real life about the various plot twists and pairings and I dunno.

The only people that know about BCB in my geographical vicinity are the people I introduced BCB to, and none of them have finished reading it yet. So yeah.
