Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Since I doubt some of you look through the Booru and since it constantly cycles with everyone’s new artwork…and since I like discussing things… I’m dropping an art thread in here.

I will not list my NSFW art here as I already have in the appropriate thread.


Here goes, in order of completion…

I love Paulo and Lucy together. Lucy actually seems happy for once.

A crappy sketch of Paulo putting Mike’s lights out. I got the idea from SpaceMouse. I don’t like how it turned out though…


Amaya is very close to Sue. I tried a bit of stylization with this.


This was a sketch done by Taeshi that I vectored, and added various effects to, to create a desktop wallpaper.

Now, feel free to discuss, I’ll also be taking suggestions for artwork ideas. I may not do all that is suggested, and in fact I probably won’t, but I will use this thread as a source of ideas. So, please post some.

Alejandro (rapecat/confrontationcat) should be above Augustus on the last one unless you left him out on purpose.

I simply love Paulo in that first drawing. ^_^

NCN I mentioned it in the comments on candybooru, but I’ll drop it here too.

In the original sketch Alejandro was too blurry for me to salvage, and I didn’t find him to be a terribly important character to keep anyway. He only showed up once that I recall.

I look at it this way, every character in the image now has at least some good in them. (Some less than others maybe XD)

Also I’m working one something BIG!

….Ok that’s a bit of a lie, it’s actually very small. About 24 x 30px to be exact.

Have I ever mentioned I’m a huge fan of certain MMO’s? (And I loathe most others)

I love the way you color.
The whole SuexAmaya picture is my fav just cause of the way it’s colored, really. It’s pretty nice. ^_^

The vectored one came up funny-looking on my desktop, I’m sticking with the uncolored one It is however, very nice.

I did some things to the CandyBooru image to make it less than 1mb… (shrunk it from 1900x1600 to something random and made it use indexed coloring. I’ll upload a full bitmap version later, that should work fine.)

Also, my “BIG project”… is looking grim already… so I’ll just spill it…
I’m a huge fan of Ragnarok Online, and I was thinking that it would be interesting to make BCB characters’ heads and do a BCB themed server… however… I’m realizing that RO’s heads are… much TALLER than BCB styled ones… so the whole project may go down in flames before I even pass GO! and collect my 200$


…I did do a brief, and somewhat poor, sketch of Paulo as a Gunslinger though. I’ll up that later too.



EDIT: For everyone who didn’t notice…
Paulo doesn’t have black tipped ears, and his cheek tufts are much clumpier… but taking cat genetics into account, Paulo’s offspring are most likely going to look like clones of him regardless of gender…

If I’d given her odd-eyes or blue eyes, it wouldn’t be genetically feasible… so I worked with what I had =\

It looks, perhaps just a tad streached, but otherwise beautiful on my background. It finally replaced that crystal chronicles one I had.

It should be about 3meg and 1900x1600px (that’s as much as I could handle with my meager 2gigs of ram and PhotoshopCS2… otherwise I would have made it bigger…monitors are freaking huge nowadays)

Remember, that was her fault, if she just accepted Paulo’s Love the breakdown would have never happened.

She had legitimate reasons for doing it, but that doesn’t make you any less right. *sigh* Oh well. That’s old news.

I would see Mike as a Monk, Paulo as a Sinx, Daisy as a Dancer, David as a Sniper, Abbey as a High Priest, Tess as a Merchant/WS, and Lucy as a Star Gladiator. Amaya would so be a Sniper. McCain could be a Stalker! XD

Also, I always saw Mike as a more kick oriented fighter, and Lucy a more punch oriented one. So, those roles reversed…

Daisy would probably be more like a professor XD David would be a novice.

Well daisy is kinda the whore. I said Sniper for David cuz that’s the class that takes like no effort at all.

Augustus actually kinda dresses like a prof almost O.o. Sue….Alchemist? O.o i dunno.

And the animals could be different homunculi~

High Wizard Augustus turned out pretty well I think.

Still looks like him in my opinion.

And what makes you say Daisy is a whore? Just because cheerleading is the stuff of nightmares and she took some bad advice from…^ that guy, doesn’t mean she’s a whore…

Mike = Star Gladiator (cause he runs fast)
Lucy = Shura (cause she loves punching people)
Paulo = Gunslinger (he likes looking bad ass that’s for sure)
David = Clown (cause he is one)
Daisy = Sniper/High Wizard (cause she isn’t sexy enough to be a Dancer and she’s a coward to boot! That being said, she’s smart so she could be a High Wizard as well)
Abbey = Lord Knight/Royal Guard (he IS the knight in shining armor)
Amaya = Assassin Cross (cause she’s quiet)
Sandy = High Priest/Archbishop (she’s pure and innocent based on the comic)
Sue = Genetic (cause she’s creative. That and the Genetic looks bad ass)
Augustus = Stalker (cause he is one)
Tess = Shadow Chaser/Rogue (cause she’s a former rebel. Plus points for the Shadow Chaser for looking incredibly pimp)
McCain = Assassin (discreet and collected. Just like how Assassins should be)
Jessica = Dancer/Gypsy (now there’s a slut)
Rachel = Wanderer (who needs wing pins when you’ve got a whole costume as wings?)
Carson = Bard (cause Bards are gay)

You all seem to have a lot of interesting ideas.

I’ve quit playing RO some time late 2008. Tried coming back earlier this month but the fun just wasn’t there. Oh, and I play in my country’s official Free-To-Play server so, yeah. I can come back anytime, but as I said, it isn’t as fun anymore.

OT:
I’d change Amaya to a Thief. I think the costume fits her better. Justin and Molly should be Novices =3

May I ask- what is RO?

RO = Ragnarok Online.

People still play RO?

^A few (albeit less than 2500) in my country’s official servers (most are botters). I assume a lot still play in private servers, with the Renewal patch just released and all.

More people play the private servers than the official ones.

I have succeeded in hammering together a Ragnarok 2 Saga server… it only works on my computer and I don’t know how most of it works… there’s hardly any useful GM commands and the database setup is vastly different (and in my opinion inferior) to RO’s

Anyway, no new art, but yes, anyone is free to do variations on my art here as long as you credit me and obviously Tae.

Also, if you do use it, I’d very much like it if you added a copy to this thread.

On the subject of RO, I’d hazard that if you put together the sum of all private servers, it would probably rival the newer MMOs.

I decided not to give up on my BCB face set for RO btw… I have a few of Lucy’s done, but I’m working slowly since spriting is different from sketching… I’m party worried about Lexi, since she can’t get internet and I don’t see her much the last few days… and I have RO2 to play with…

All that aside, I check this page regularly so feel free to ask questions, comment, or post derivations of art here ^^
