So, you know how it bumps the topic on the forum when you comment on a comic? This causes:
1) Epic spam.
2) A reason to epic spam.
3) Difficulty of finding actual topics.
4) It makes getting reviews/comments a bad thing.
Seperate them or something. I feel it’s only polite to comment often when reading someone’s hard work for free, but I do realise I’m filling the forum with crap.

*Points at the handy little button at the top of the forum page*

It reads “Show Only Topics”, and does exactly what you’re asking for. I don’t think you can view it like that as default though, so you do need to do it every time you refresh. But it works regardless.

OH GOOD LORD.

Why have I never seen that button?

Thanks, that’s a huge help.

…Am I the only to notice that the quickie-question-fill-in-thingy-that-prevents-spam bots is now gone?

Nope. Now all I have to do is hit “enter”…

I mean, click the button.

Crap. I keep hitting enter thinking it will submit my reply.

CRAP.

The math box will come back to haunt you if you ever delete your cookies.

Morale: Never delete your cookies. It’s bad for you.
(That sounded so much better when I pronounced it. ^_^)

Awesomeness.

I’ll make sure not to do that. Also, that’s a relief, I had thought something had gone wrong for a while there.

I reckon they should make that topics only button the default setting, and if you want to see the page comics too, you have to click it.

I’m not sure about that. I agree that it sucks to fill the forum with comments, but only when they’re stupid comments, which is kind of a separate issue..

I like the idea of leaving the mixture as default because it encourages people to see what people are saying in the archive. I could swap them, so that you have to choose a specific page to view the comments\topics mix, but I feel like it’s better to make sure people are aware of comments being posted. Because some are relatively good and worthy of reply!

Welp, it is up to you.

Spam or missing out on good comments, that is the choice.

It used to bug me, but now the comments being shown seems nice to me. I can see when someone comments on a favorite page of mine. Aaaand if I’m waiting on a certain thread to update, I can just browse through the comments also~! It’s a win-win for me now.

I think the current system works fine. I just read the forum as normal, and if someone’s spamming up a storm on the comic, I click the only topics button and am bothered no more.

Yeah despite the idiotic comments I occasionally read that anger me greatly, I do enjoy browsing the comments when nothing has been posted in a while. If people don’t want to read it they can just click on that Topics Only button.

Simple as that.

I do know the button, and I don’t mind the topicflood, but I just feel like a spammer, you know.

Why? If you aren’t posting anything stupid for the sake of doing it then it’s groovy! (Boy am I a hypocrite sometimes… XD)
