Idk if i can do that to mike, we want to keep it as close as possible to the comic

Draixen September 22, 2010, 2:48 AM EST.

in my opinion the voicing for that one part in this current chapter would be embarrassing to do xD even if for a short bit

Raylene September 22, 2010, 3:07 AM EST.

Still, someone’s got to do it. We’ll see about mike’s voice, Sandvich.

yes, for the 2 people it is going to be wierd. but from an actors p.o.v (mine :P) it’s something you just gotta get use to.

as a Canadian, i know what you mean. getting embarrassed by stuff is such an american or European thing to do. but we Canadians? we never get embarrassed. were to full of ourselves to be. :)

but in all seriousness, i understand what you mean (vague man is vague) awkwardness spawns in the most unlikely of places. but yah, as an actor(es) yah gots ta learn ta o’ercome yer fears on ta subject, and learn ta live wit yah mastakes.

Well I’ll keep trying. If that dosent work, at least keep me in the loop. Well actually, that won’t take any extra effort. Assuming u make a thread when your actually making it.

I really like the idea of this comic getting animated… But from one my experience i would not use Anime studio. >.< its very janky. If you need donations- i could help :) I’ll have some of my drama major friends audition, Because hey you never know if that could come in handy… Goodluck!

I’m actually taking a digital animation class, and for my next project I was thinking about using some BCB characters.

@Bloddyfirefly OMG! you would actually donate for this project?
@Michael Cool! Post it when you’re done. I’d like to see it.

I know that Anime Studio’s not the best, but Kratos’ dad might be getting us a much better animation program. Regardless, it’s still something to start with, right?

X-Saber September 25, 2010, 11:42 AM EST.

Comment ID #95944

that is true. If anything Anime studios may simply get you started and familiar on what to do.

Raylene September 25, 2010, 3:49 PM EST.

Comment ID #96521

Hmm… I’m alright with an animation series. Just make sure you follow the few basic rules of animation.

1. Get the characters to actually practice the voice acting. Make sure that when the characters talk, they don’t sound like they’re reading right from a script.

2. Stick to the story. One of the most common mistakes about animes or movies based off of the story or characters is when the creaters try to be “Original”. People watch the movies in the first place because they want to see the same story in animation.

3. Don’t switch voice actors in the middle of the series because that certain voice actor has to stop acting for a while and you want to continue it. If one of the actors can’t voice a movie for some reason for some amount of time, wait out that amount of time unless you’re ABSOLUTLY SURE that they will never be able to voice act for the movie again.

Jake September 27, 2010, 1:49 AM EST.

Comment ID #96536

not to call you out, but those rules are really ovious and understood.

Draixen September 27, 2010, 2:36 AM EST.

Comment ID #96593

Sure it’s risky, but what are the chances that one of us would send you a letter bomb?

Hysteria(sarcastic*Ninja) September 27, 2010, 2:39 AM EST.

that’s not the problem, mailmen/mailwomen have a habit of taking $ and items from envelopes.

Draixen, why don’t you just bittorrent the software and download a keygen?

happehface September 27, 2010, 11:55 PM EST.

Comment ID #97007

Because we’re getting something different from anime studio now. It’s government animation software that Kratos’s dad has. We just need to go get it.

Draixen September 28, 2010, 12:30 AM EST.

Comment ID #97025

@Draixen Yeah, but even though those rules may be completely obvious, people still don’t follow at least one of those rules.

I’ve seen plenty of attempts at fan animations over something awesome, only to totally destroy it because of horrible voice acting or poor planing.

Oh, another rule that just popped into my head!

4. Even though it might be tough, try to do your best to copy the type of art style that the original artist used. Again, very tough, but imagine the look on the faces of the fans and hearing them say stuff like, “Did Tae do this animation?” or “Did she make this herself?”. It may offend you a little that they’re not giving credit where credit is due, but you have got to be flattered that they think that YOU are as good as the original artist.

This sounds like a brilliant idea. I would love to be a part of it. Even if all the male voices are filled… I’m going to try auditioning anyway lol so we get to pick what lines to read? Is there a specific chapter in the comic you’d recommend would be a good one to send in?

edit: …unless I’m late, I just realized that this post is a few weeks old from the last reply. Are male auditions still needed?

Hell, I was apprehensive as to this being any good or not, but the sample of animation you put up looks very good, especially having been made on a DS.
Do you still have any roles open for men? Although I don’t have any kind of high quality recording equipment I can still send something in if the quality is “Not shit” levels we’re talking about.

I make animations and websites. I could help with the website part, and I use Windows Movie Maker for animations lol.
