So I noticed in the gallery and forums and such that Mike x Sandy fans and Paulo x Lucy fans seem to be rivals. I don’t fully understand that, I mean if Mike and Sandy wind up together then Paulo and Lucy have more of a chance. So why people be drawing Mike and Lucy burning when they like Paulo x Lucy?

well if you’ll notice, mikeXsandy is something innocent and utterly unrealistic, where-as PauloXlucy is something noticably flawed, the two are completely different examples of love, which these fans are fascinated by.

Why must we argue over useless pairings? The ideal solution would be to expand the definition of love, and make love not exclusive, but inclusive. Imagine! MikexLucyxPauloxDaisyxSandy! I’m telling you, it’s the only way the entire story can go down without ending in a pile of ragged tears and angst. I would compromise for MikexPaulo and LucyxSandy though. Hur hur.

Jokings aside, there’s a reason they’re called OTP. It’s the ONE true pairing. Granted, people start using OTP liberally and applying to all their favorite pairings. But if I were to go by my own definition of OTP, I wouldn’t have one at all.

In my opinion, it just seems to me that this “X pairing is better than Y” is getting out of hand. People have different thought processes, so it should be natural for people to desire different pairings.

But for your question as to why people would draw the other pairing burning, I would assume it’s human nature. It’s human nature to hate the out-group. Republicans hate Democrats, Democrats hate Republicans. Not everybody in those group hates other people, but there’s enough people for it to seem that way.
