I’m doing alright, currently editing/running Projections for “Driving Miss Daisy” at our school. I’m never incorporating projections in any set design I do ever again…

Yep, it is special alright. The space is “fun” as well. The ceiling is ten feet tall, so the lights hang down about 2’ above the actors’ and audiences’ heads. It is surrounded by three sides of seating and the playing space is divided by four structural columns. The play version of “Driving Miss Daisy” is one of the worst scripts I have ever dealt with,major scene changes occur within seconds and there is no intermission. However my turntable with 8’x10’ projection screen/projections used have thoroughly kicked its’ ass and I intend on entering this design in the USITT National conference(United States Institute for Technical Theatre Conference) for another potential win.

Would it be racist to suggest that you use an entirely black cast in white face paint where applicable?

Nah… The Director kept nagging for set decorations on an end table, so I considered placing a Jomama Figurine centerfold on the Set.

i think that someone who frequents this chat should do periodic updates of what has happened for those of us who cant keep up…

Glad to here it. I’m doing good, but have to pull another all nighter to fix projection slides for the upcoming play… I think I’m starting to see things, so it’s good that I will be able to sleep regulary after this.

Yup, we haven’t had rain in weeks! But we’re doing fine surprisingly, at least the humidity hasn’t gone down any. >:C Stupid humidity…

Ugh, sorry about that, we’ve been “fortunate” to just having dry heat.

@ILB: There has been a serious drought problem for over a decade across the U.S. to the point that the Great Lakes have areas that are normally 50’ go down to 31’ , 20’- 1’ etc. There are increasing problems with water shortages out West, however the Great Lakes area has been getting an excessive amount of rainfall the past couple weeks, so it should at least provide a temporary relief for some states.

Good morning!, i have to reset all my clocks because of a power outage yesterday, not sure what happend but there was like six fire trucks and a hundred cops bllocking traffic near my building, its was hilariouse to see the bar crowds kicked out and stumbling in the dark mind you,. but itf it wasent for my brother i would have been late for work

There’s a drought in Virginia now. It’s gonna suck.

Sucks, my family is in WV still yet. Speaking of strange weather phenomena, I heard last winter that it freaking snowed in Florida. My grandpa had moved there to avoid the cold (Arthritis and whatnot), and I wish that I could have seen his face when he looked out the window… “WTF! I left you behind! NOOOO!!”

Yeah the storm of the century hit EVRYWHERE.

We had a lot of snow this winter. More than a metre deep, and it stayed for more than a month (which is quite a lot, considering my area generally gets only a few centimetres, and they rain away in just a few days).

I do like having snowball fights, so that was all good. ^_^
