This is a simple thread that I wanted to experiment with. I want to see what people’s reaction is to it. To put it simply, this is the ‘feel good and be happy thread!’

Its all about being upbeat and positive here, and if you aren’t, let us talk to you. I’m sure we can bring a smile to your face.

Talk about the happy moments of your life, your favorite movies, games, cartoons, comics and animes. This is a place to be happy, and you should use it.

I guess I’ll start. Here’s a story I really like. There was a flood in the Philippines, and a number of people sadly died. But in the flood, a young man sacrificed his life to save dozens of people! That’s amazing! That’s heroic!

I wish I had more to share than that, but I don’t have any great stories. I take the happiness I have from small things. I think that’s more important than any story I could tell you about my life; I mean you’re probably not going to be able to live a happy life running on strings of epic tales of heroism and romance, so take my word for it that if something little can make you happy, don’t take it for granted. I’ve spent a lot of time coveting big flashy lifestyles and drama only to lose sight of the moments in my life where I was happy without them.

I just realized something. That other thread is for sweet fanart of this wonderful webcomic. This one can simply be about sweet things in life, or outside of BCB.

Besides, there can be two sweet threads, right?

So suppose someone like me, who isn’t too happy or sweet, comes here to ask to be cheered up, then what?

There will always be times where we are sad or hurt. Times where we hate the world and those who make it up. Where we think humans are bastards and God hates us.

I want to be here, ready to talk to anyone who has a problem. I’m sure there are other people who also wanna hear your problems and want to talk you through it.

Since we’re probably miles away from each other, the only gift I can give is words, but sometimes words are a lot stronger than we realize.

So tell us why you’re unhappy and need a pick me up, so we can help you through whatever troubles you.

okay i’m a manic depressive who has no reasurrance that i have a purpouse in life, i have been rejected by girls 54 times, i think my friends gossip about me behind my back, i managed to learn and forget a foreign language in less than ten years, i’m socially awkward due to being completely alone for 4 years and i generally dislike humanity

Hmmm…I won’t say I understand your troubles. I can’t say that. It would be a lie. Like I said, the only gift I have is words. Here are mine.

Depression is a disease at times. Have you tried talking to therapists or doctors about medication for it? If its true, psychological depression, there are drugs to help deal with it. As for the girls, maybe you should stop looking for a girl then. Let it happen naturally. Just try to be a good person, and let the girl fall for you. Give her a chance, and maybe you’ll find yourself in love with her.

If your friends gossip about you, confront them about it. If they tell you they haven’t, either trust them or not. If you don’t, continue to confront them, but be gentle. Don’t talk with your fists. Ask, why are you gossiping about me? I don’t gossip about you.

I have horrible memory. Try looking through the internet to try and jog your memory. Look through youtube videos, or online games.

I used to be socially awkward. Hell, I still am. Try talking to small groups of people. One or two. Then, if you want to, continue to be social. Say good morning and good afternoon to strangers you’re walking by on the street. Try to be polite and talk to your neighbors. Just try to be friendly.

And finally….Humanity is a young race, relatively. We can be dumb, brutish, and close minded. Humanity can be nothing but a dumb animal, nearing a cliff. But humanity has potential. Potential to be so much more. There have been times where human decency has overcome human cruelty. There have been times humanity has proven we are a good lot, despite our flaws.

Human beings are a dumb lot at times, but we have the capability to be so much more. We can decipher right and wrong, and through that, we show the possibility of being a great race. So yes, humans are an easy to dislike bunch. But if we try to help them improve, and remember the times where human goodness has been shown, I think a better world could be made.
