Why are you trying to write a fanstory if you haven’t even read the comic enough to know everything about the characters?
One read-through of the comic and you can pretty much dissect all the characters that anyone would really want to read about. Just read the comic. Otherwise your clif-notes versions of all the characters are going to be really shitty and we’re going to lol at you.

EVERY character? Even one-shot characters like Jay and the school principal? What about minor characters like Justin and the rest? What about them?
Here you go.

My writing professor taught me that research must be done for all stories, even fictutious ones. It is a sin to write in a way that is ill informed, since writing is supposed to reveal some kind of truth no matter what you’re writing about.
Do your own research, look over taeshi’s work. read chapters with special attention to one character, find out why they do things and when they do them. Lack of analysis into characters is the number one reason I dislike most fanfics. Rather than uncover the nuances of each character’s relationship, people just find a few things about each character that fits how THEY want them to act, and then capitalize on it, leaving them feel two dimensional.
I realise no one wants to put THAT much time into a fanfic, but I still dream of the day..

Well, if you’re really serious about research, you could try Yappy’s Understanding Taeshi series. Any aspiring literary critics of Taeshi’s work should start here. It’s collegiate-level, though, so you might be chewing more than you can bite if you don’t even want to read the original story (trust me, though Yappy’s insights are indeed acute and punctual, this is not for the casual reader: you’d be better off reading the original story). Besides, you will not understand 90% of the book if you haven’t immersed yourself into the story already. It’s like trying to read a calculus textbook without learning even linear algebra.
Now, I only have one page of the book: http://www.bittersweetcandybowl.com/candybooru/ post/view/1538
It’s from Volume II. I would usually suggest Vol. III for any writers of major literary reviews, but we have to make do with what we have.

Its not some generic “how do i do this?” question, cuz i know how to write a story i wouldnt have gotten an A* (A+) on the story coursework in school.
So, for this fanstory im doing i need to know the name and a short summary of every character in BCB, as im doing a crossover with an anime. Not fullmetal alchemist though im trying to see how that might work in (long-term wise, cuz i know about the Gate)
so yeah, a list of every character and a short summary of their personality. It’ll make everything easier and mean i wont need many (if any) fancharacters to make it work.
