Yesterday I dropped off my car for a tire rotation. When I went to pick it up, they told me there was no charge for the job.

Fixing my laptop's crap connection (accidentally)
Turns out, when I took off my broken laptop screen, and I cut some rather innocuous looking wires, they were wireless antennae. Once I FINALLY figured out what the wires were, I started to strip off the plastic and was going to solder them back to the cut lengths, but alas, I have no soldering gun, so I decided to go online and look up prices, and lo and behold: Removing the plastic fixed the prolem, even if the wires are now VERY short. Went from 16MBPS to <1MBPS back to 15MBPS.
So... yeah. Very happy about that.
