One thing people forget when choosing locations is that America is actually very hard, financially and otherwise, to get into. For example, one guy I know who went had to fill in a load of forms, and it was very expensive. It should be somewhere cheaper and easier to get (in)to.

Why would they choose a huge HUGE city though? Housing people and such would be a lot more expensive than if they just chose a moderately large city or such? The nice thing about big cities though is that they'd be easy to locate for everyone and I guess more attractions to go to depending on how much BCBcon is BCB.

Can't we just be generic and say Los Angelos? I know a few people on here from California, and quite a few more from Texas which is not too far away. New York might be good for some of you but the other half is the exact opposite :| If I can, though, I'd love the chance to go to NYC again. I'm putting my vote in for California though, just in case.

No offense to Taeshi, but her comic doesn't seem big enough to get it's own convention so soon. I'd say most comics aren't big enough for that. I'm not sure if they have the cash. Correct me if I'm mistaken. If they jump on board another convention (like SPACE : D) I'd probably still go just for them, but I'm thinking BCBcon is way down the road. Still, I say either Chicago or Norway (just for ILB because he is that cool).

I think a big city would be good. For many reasons, Their well known, there's more stuff to do, if you get lost there's plenty of people to ask directions and places to go for directions, and well known landmarks could prove as an easier way to get around the city "Oh yeah I'm in Battery Park, where do I go from here?".

BCBcon I think would end up being less of a traditional convention and more of a get-together deal of active(or inactive whaetvas) members who want to and bother to go.
