Rate What the User Above is Listening To

Spoiler

Twice? Really? I get beaten out twice in a row? Really, I should just post a number and THEN put any effort into it.

Alright, what is this? I'm honestly just listening to it while typing. This is good though. The guitar and vocals are working well as the primary parts, and the drum coming into it is giving it a nice variance that lends to the style of the song. Very country, very rock, and look at that mans beard! But, I digress, the lyrics are working very well, and the song is beginning to pick up like it really should. The introduction of new instruments feels very natural, and it works into the entire general feel of the song. I'm loving the horns coming in now, and these lyrics are working very well. I can feel the story behind the words, and for this kind of song a story works very well. And now it's continuing to pick up, and it's over? Well, it was live as well! Surprising. Honestly, this was good, and I enjoyed it. Not much else I can say, really.
7/10? 8/10? One of the two, I don't know.

I feel silly with song choice.

A bit of a trippy tune. Entertaining enough, but it gets sort of tedious after a while, and there are also no particularly powerful bits - it just floats without being anything either here or there, apart from (as mentioned before) sort of jading. So I must give it no more than half of the maximum score - 5/10.

I really, really like it... it reminds me of detective movies or film noirs, and then Max Payne came to mind.

7/10, Nice vocals but, too repetitive.

Shadow of the Colossus has the best soundtrack for any video game I've ever played, in my opinion.

This is a magnificent piece. It holds so much might and stature, with intense lines and a powerful rhythm to drive the melody along. I do not know of the context for this music, but my imagination is already full with possible happenings, brought forth by the very well executed composition this is. A perfect score from me: 10/10.

Bell came just before me. Editing now.

Well, it certainly holds energy, and the harmonics are interesting. The idea of using the bass to support the chords, more so than any other instrument, is also a choice that definitely lifts the song in its own way. The fact that they sing in German is also rather fitting, I find. However, again, it is not utterly remarkable, and I feel there is a certain something lacking. When the same chord progression is repeated over and over again with only the number of instruments deciding the song's dynamics, it also gets a bit bland after a while - perhaps this is an expectation I get from people who sing in German, considering Mozart and all that. Still, it is a solid 8/10.

Kinda fruity for my tastes, but catchy 8/10

CoD4 gun sounds and whatnot made into a catchy tune 8-D
  • #160

7/10
Nice tune for a bunch of gunshots.

  • #161

8/10 I really do like Corey Taylor's work in both Slipknot and Stone Sour.

This song is a two-parter.

  • #162

Hmmm 6/10. It's good, but I don't like 16 minute long songs.

DAMNIT SUSAN!!! She got me on a Rocky Horror kick.
So, I'm listening to:

  • #163

I dont know if I should give you a 0/10 or a 10/10 so I'll go with 20/10.

  • #167

9/10 I love how they have a cat in it <3

  • #168

7/10. I don't much care for ultra, ultra heavy metal. Pardon the creepy picture, but I really do love this song.

8/10 Not really a big fan of instrumentals, but I still rather liked this piece.

(Starts at 0:10 for reference)
  • #170

8/10 I dont listen to alot of Julie Andrews, but I do remember when she was on an episode of The Muppets.

10/10 I love the Super Mario 64 remix
Stairway To Heaven-led Zeppelin

  • #172

9/10 for Led Zeppelin. Only think keeping it from a ten is the fact that it's not my absolute favorite Led Zeppelin song. [First being...I believe it's titled "Livin, Lovin (It's Just a Woman)", maybe?]

Edited now that I got it posted: I really like Stairway, but however epic, it's not a song I listen to very often. The song I mentioned above is one I can listen to anytime, and it's just a really fun song.

This one's not something I normally would have listened to, but then it went and got stuck in my head due to Rock Band.

This is my favorite kind of music. 20's though early fifties big band swing music hall was MY KIND OF MUSIC BABY~

How I wish I was born in that era. Best music.

At least 91.5 has this kind of music in the evenings.

Another Way to die-Disturbed

Pay close attention to the lyrics for this one.
  • #181

7/10. There are better songs on that album.

Like This One, which I'm currently listening to.
  • #182

9/10 a very scary message it brings.

speaking of scary messages...

3/10 Regardless of it having to do anything with Portal 2, I just don't like it. The singer's voice grates on my ears, too.

  • #187

oddly soothing 7/10

couldn't find just the music, only the music video
  • #188

7/10, Hilarious song. Unfortunately, everything The Lonely Island does gets played out almost immediately. This is no exception

I dunno... it's decent? 6/10

  • #193

9/10 I prefer Thanatos.

  • #194

7/10 I like the musical elements excluding the vocals. The vocals just don't seem to stand out or compliment the rest of the melody. The percussion and bass guitar kept a solid beat going. I'd use the song as driving music; music that is in the background, but since you are focused on the road, you don't really pay attention to the lyrics. I'd use it in that sense.

7/10 Elvis did it far better, but it's not that bad. Doesn't have the same soul as Elvis', though.

  • #196

8/10. It's a bit slow, but the lyrics are really sweet and I can actually understand them, which is great.

Descend | Homestuck
  • #197

8/10. sounds like one of Anamaguchi's songs or something off of scott pilgrim.

  • #198

9/10, Yay acoustic guitars

but my song is of the more electric persuasion.

MeGaLoVania | Homestuck
  • #199
